The Commonwealth Army and Marines have compleated what amounts to the largest round of equipment upgrades in their history. These upgrades have replaced the standard pistol and Squad Automatic Weapon with newer, more lethal systems. Possiblly the most important of these standardizations are the addaption of a new Infantry Assult Weapon and a new Expaditionary Fighting Vehicle for the Marines.

The new M-30 Carbine with M-203 Gernade Launcher. This new carbine combindes the dimentions of the M-4 Carbine with the lethality of the .30-06 round. This allows the gun to kill enemies out to 600 yards. The M-203 Gernade Launcher is a highly standardized weapon, in use with many nations worldwide.

The new Squad Automatic Weapon is the M-40 machine gun. This weapon fires a brand new and very potent .43 calibre round. This round is lethal at ranges previously unheard of. However, the M-40 is limited by its short barrel, designed to give maximum range while not being unweildy for a single gunner to manage. Ammo is fed from a 150 round box, and several men in each squad are assigned to carry the extra ammunition. Lethal range extends out to 800 yards.

The Commonwealth Marines have decided to replace their ageing Kiowa Warriors (left) with Elias Aerospace Corporation EA-28s, which are license produced by the Severskian Aerospace Industri under the name D`arcy Warrior. The D`arcy Warrior has been inproduction for some time, but has never been officially adopted by any service untill now. This adoption would provide a major boost to SAI.
The D`arcy Warrior offers a major increase in capibility for the CSM, as the Kiowa Warrior was never certified for naval opperations.
EA-28s can be purchised from the nation United Elias at competive prices.

Possibly the greatest advance in technology has been made by the CSM, with its upgrade to the EFV. This vehicle will replace all LAV and other AmTrac's in service with the CSM as landing craft. The EFV's main advantage is that it can maintain 25 knots in the water, which is a vast imporvement over everything to come before.
