Occ: No one knows about this besides the people who were there. So dont go and try pledging support for either side just yet.

Ic:(Ant-Commonwealth rally, somewhere in the Golan Heights.)

Speaker: “The King’s merger into the Commonwealth of Nations is unacceptable. Our nation will ugh………

The speaker slumps over the podium, a knife protruding from his back. Suddenly out of the darkness a figure in a black cloak steps up to the podium and throws the now lifeless body onto the ground. The figure looks out to the speechless crowd, his bright red eyes glaring at every one of them. And in a calm, measured tone he begins to speak.

Figure: “That will be enough of that garbage. All of you want to see change, but none of you have the courage do initiate change. This is why I am here. I have the courage to initiate a change in this country, and if any of you really believe what you think you do, you will pledge your support to me. For I am Gomorrah, keeper of all that is righteous and good in the world, and with my leadership, we shall undermine the so called leaders of Canan, and begin a new era of freedom. The southern half of Canan wish to bring Canan into the Commonwealth of Nations? All they have done is surrender not just their freedom, but the whole kingdom’s freedom. I have been through the south, and they say that the people, you people, from north Canan are barbaric, stupid, and that your voices carry no importance. I say that they are wrong. I say that your voices do matter, but the great King Mizraim does not. You see, he has sided with the south. He believes that you are a barbaric and ignorant race. He does not listen to your voices. But I, I shall listen. I shall hear what you have to say. I will make the south change their views of the people of the north. But, I cannon do this alone. I need your help, for the people of the south will not listen to one man that preaches about the north. But they will listen if the northern half of Canan speaks. They will hear us or we will make them hear us!”

With that a loud cheer rang throughout the rally, while Gomorrah walked away from the podium with a large smirk on his face.

“This will be easier than I thought,” Gomorrah thought to himself.

(Royal Palace: briefing room)

Intelligence officer: “Sir, we have intel that suggests a man calling himself Gomorrah, may be trying to sew the seeds of rebellion.”

[b]King Mizraim:[/b} “And how do you know this?”

Intelligence officer: “Well sir, we have planted several operatives in the north, after the recent violence there to see if there has been any talk of attacks on government offices and such. One of operatives was sitting in on a rally held to preach about the move into the Commonwealth, but half way through the speech the speaker was stabbed in the back by Gomorrah. Gomorrah then went on to talk about the south’s hatred of the north, and how you sided with the south. And after at the end of his speech he made a comment about making the south hear the voices of the north.”

King Mizraim: “And who is this Gomorrah?

Intelligence officer: “We do not know sir. We have no prior record of anyone called Gomorrah.”

King Mizraim: “Well keep a look out for this Gomorrah, and step up security in the north, if there is any signs of a rebellion we will need to be ready.”

Intelligence officer: “Yes sir.”

The mysterious figure known as Gomorrah was standing in front of his small militia of twelve hundred followers. Every man over the age of 15 that believed in his “cause” was standing before him. Since his speech Gomorrah traveled the countryside, gaining supporters for his cause, and now he finally had enough to initiate his plan. The Fallen, Gomorrah’s militia was armed with Ak-47’s, RPG’s, and other weapons, all bought from local militants in the area, who have also pledged support to Gomorrah. Night was coming and The Fallen would strike soon, targeting the city of Nazareth’s small police base in the center of the city.

Gomorrah’s plan was simple. Three groups of three men with AK-47’s and homemade bombs strapped to their chests would enter several buildings on all sides of the city, taking everyone inside hostage. This would inevitably stretch the police force in the area to its limits. During two groups of one hundred men each armed with various hand guns, automatic weapons, and grenades would storm the police base from the north and the south gates. Then once the base has been taken each of the bombers would set off their bombs.

8:48 PM

Hassan walked in the public library wearing a long jacket to conceal his “package.” He knew he was not going to make it out of this library alive, but his part was the most important part of Gomorrah’s plan. He silently walked the entirety of the building, noticing only four people and a security guard. Hassan looked at his clock, it was eight fifty-eight, only two minutes till he was to fulfill his promise to Gomorrah. Hassan walked back to the front desk, keeping the guard in his sights. Suddenly he heard the chime of a clock nearby, it was nine o’clock. Hassan threw open his coat and cocked his AK-47. The guard noticing what was going on reached for his gun, but Hassan saw him and shot him three times in the chest. Now it was only Hassan and the four people inside the building. He yelled at the desk clerk to call the police, and to tell them that he had a bomb.

All over the quite was shattered by sirens screaming through the streets. Gomorrah heard this and smiled, he knew it was time to move. The two groups had been waiting in the buildings surrounding the police base, and when the majority of the police had left, they began to move. The first group rushed towards the front gate, firing at and killing the two guards in the gate house. The second group did the same and soon periodic gunfire could be heard throughout the base, and in almost fifteen minutes the base was taken.

Gomorrah’s men began taking weapons, ammunition, trucks, and even a light tank that the police used to disperse hostile crowds. After about an hour all the trucks were loaded, and the militants placed homemade explosives on the two helicopters, and on the remaining vehicles and ammunition. They then drove off into the desert leaving their comrades to finish their business.

Hassan heard an explosion from the center of town, and knew that his time was near. Hassan reached for his detonator, and pushed the button. Nothing happened. He pressed the button three more times before he picked up the guards hand gun and raised it to his head. But before he could shoot two of the men in the library tackled him, and wrestled the gun away from him. Seeing the struggle inside, the police moved in and arrested Hassan.

On the news later that night:

Tonight several explosions rocked the city of Nazareth killing 45, including five police officers and the terrorists. One of the terrorists was apprehended however. Hassan Kaliq Ali was apprehended after two men tackled the would be bomber, allowing the police to move in and apprehend him.

Hassan squinted through the dim lighting of the small interrogation room. He had been in custody for over twelve hours, and ten of those hours he has spent in this room. Being beaten, physically and mentally. His head ached and he hadn’t been fed anything since he was arrested. Suddenly the door flew open, the light flooded the room and blinded Hassan for a minute or two, but when his eyes adjusted to the light he saw something that astonished him.

“Prince Abram?”

“You have disappointed Gomorrah and The Fallen.”

“W...Wha…”

A gunshot rang out through the halls. The Prince tucked the 9 mm hand gun into his holster and calmly walked out of the room past several police officers running to see what the commotion is.

Royal Palace, Briefing room:

“Sire, Hassan has been killed.”

“What! By who?”

“We are not sure sire, but we believe it was a member of the group he belongs to.”

“Well, did you get any information from him?”

“Yes sire, but it was not very much. The Group Hassan belongs to is called ‘The Fallen’, and he told us that Gomorrah was the leader.”

“Is that all?”

“Yes sire.”

“Twelve hours and all you get is what we already suspected!” King Mizraim slammed his fist onto the table, “What do I pay you people for. Get out. Now!”

While ignorant of the exact nature of Canan's troubles, the UK was very generally aware (OOC: from the Commonwealth thread, of course) of some unrest in opposition to Commonwealth membership, and the BBC, amongst other independent and private media groups, had been trying to get a lead on the political climate in the Commonwealth's newest member. As yet there'd been little reward for their efforts, and much more attention was still being given to New Guinea.

(OOC: I suppose you could call this a tag!)

Occ: I decided to use the unrest in the north from the Commonwealth thing as a clever way to start a rebellion. The plot will unfold as it gets more in depth, but it may change threads sometime soon.

1 year later

It has been one year since the attack on Nazareth. Since then Gomorrah and his followers have spread their violent word throughout Northern Canan gaining support from almost the entire northern half of Canan. The Fallen has gradually risen in size from the original 1200 followers, to 10,000 followers, all of whom would gladly die for their beliefs.

King Mizraim: What is the situation in the north?

General Lot: We have not yet found Gomorrah, and his group, The Fallen has raided another police base.

King Mizraim: What! What have we lost this time?

General Lot: We have lost more small arms, ammunition, and three trucks.

King Mizraim: This is getting to be very embarrassing General.

General Lot: Yes I realize that sire, but they have changed their tactics this time.

King Mizraim: (sighs) How is that General?

General Lot: They used force. Sire, I believe they are more numerous and better trained than we have previously thought.

King Mizraim: What do you mean?

General Sodom: We believe that they had help from inside the base Sire.

King Mizraim: So you are saying that our police forces in the north are unable to handle the situation?

General Sodom: Yes sire, I believe it is time that we use force to defeat these infidels.

King Mizraim: What makes you think that your men will not join with The Fallen and begin attacking us?

General Sodom: …….

King Mizraim: That is what I thought General. However, you are also right; it is time that we force this Gomorrah fellow into the light. I want Marshall Law declared, and you have my permission to dispatch whatever forces you feel are necessary to control the infidels.

General Sodom: Yes sire, I will not let you down.
King Mizraim: For all our sakes, I hope you are right General. You are dismissed.

The General walks out of the room, leaving the King to ponder over his decision.

While there has been no official contact between the British government and The Fallen, the passing of a year has slightly increased London's awareness of the troubles in Canan.

Public awareness is fairly low, and most are not greatly concerned by what they believe to be another minor disturbance around the Middle East. Representatives of a tiny minority have suggested, in passing, that British security forces ought to be offered or deployed, but the prospect does not appear a very real one.

Eventually, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office concluded that any unrest related in some way to the Commonwealth of Nations ought to be met with dialogue and education. It was widely assumed that no reasonable person could harbour serious objection to Commonwealth membership once they understood the none-intrusive nature of the organisation, or began to see its positive implications.

Perhaps, tendered the British embassy in Canan, some sort of good-will tour might give people an alternate focus. (OOC: Or perhaps it'll just give them something else to blow up or wreck, heh)

occ: you may want to hold off on that. Also the introduction into the Commonwealth was just a way for Gomorrah to gain followers, he is really only interested in gaining power, as you will see here in a few mnutes ;)

“I am Gomorrah, your leader, and I have seen the future, and it does not include the tyrant Mizraim, Calah. Instead, I see you, my faithful followers, leading the charge to overthrow the tyrant. It is because of this I come to you my people. I have come to you tonight to declare war on the tyrant, and all of his followers. To do this we must first topple the giant. We must kill King Mizraim.”

One man raises his hand to speak, “But how will any of us get close enough to kill him? He has surrounded himself with many guards.”

“I realize this, and that is why I have recruited someone who is very close to the King.”

Excited murmurs echoed throughout the hall.

“Silent all of you,” Gomorrah demanded.

“Sir, who is this person?” A young man in the back asked.

“You will all find out soon enough. Yes, it should be any time now actually.”

The capital city of Cairo

Prince Abram walks into his father’s room, dagger drawn. He walks to the bed where his father and mother sleep, and with a scream of rage slams the dagger home into the old man’s chest and into his heart. He quickly retrieves the dagger and stabs his mother, the queen in the chest through her heart. He then quickly removes his gloves, and opens the window, where another follower of The Fallen waits, ready to run, ready to be caught by the guards. The prince gives the man the signal and the man dashes towards the gate, knowing that he will not live through the night. Abram then runs to the door and yells for the guards. The guards run in to see their beloved King and Queen, dead, in an eternal rest. Almost three minutes later a loud explosion rocks the Royal Palace, Prince Abram never stops walking, but he begins to smile, knowing what will come next.

OCC: I may or may not move this to a new thread now, if I do I will post a link in the first post for who ever can't find it their selves.

CNNA Special News Bulletin:
We interrupt you current television broadcast, but at 3:14 this morning King Mizraim Calah and his wife Sarah Haran Calah were stabbed to death by an unknown assailant, who then ran to the front gate of the Royal Palace and detonated a bomb he was carrying. The two guards stationed at the gate were both killed in the blast along with the aforementioned killer. Prince Abram has gone missing as well; many believe the terrorists have kidnapped him. Authorities received confirmation that the terrorist group “The Fallen” was the ones responsible for this act of violence. We here at CNNA have a video tape addressed to the people of Canan from The Fallen’s leader, Gomorrah. (Switches to video tape.)

“People of Canan, this is Gomorrah, leader of the freedom fighters, known as The Fallen. I realize many of you may feel anger towards me and my group for our recent actions, but I assure you, we did it out of our love for our great kingdom. Now for the reason I have made this video tape. I have made this tape to announce that a revolution has begun. The killings of the tyrant King, and his whore wife, were just the beginning. Already we have overtaken several small military outposts, not by force, we were let in by the military commanders who have seen the light. Currently we control the tip of Canan and are moving our forces into friendly towns, gaining men and stored weaponry. This is my plea to all of the Cannanites, join us, rise up against the leaderless monarchy and march towards the north. You will find that you will be rewarded greatly if you support us.
And to all of the doubters hearing this message, you will see, The Fallen will rise, and the risen will fall.
(Screen switches back to the news caster)
That tape was left at our door this morning. Stay tuned for further updates to the situation.

Royal Palace, War room:

General Sodom: How did we loose three outposts without even firing a shot!

General Salaam: I do not know, perhaps this Gomorrah fellow is a more powerful man than we first thought? There are rumors that Prince Abram is a member of The Fallen.

General Sodom: Yes, I have known that for some time now. There has been many reports of people seeing him at their meetings.

General Salaam: But why did you not tell the King or anyone else of this news?

General Sodom: Because it would have ruined our plan.

General Salaam: What are you saying Isaac?

(Sodom pulls out a hand gun)

General Sodom: I am saying you can join our cause, or you shall die with the rest of the infidels.

General Salaam: I will never join the ranks of yo….

General Sodom fires his weapon three times in Salaam’s chest, and for good measure he shoots him in the head. He then casually walks out of the room while guards rush in to see what happened.

Guard: What happened here sir?

General Sodom: He was a member of The Fallen, and he tried to persuade me to join them. So, I shot him.

The guard looks at General Sodom with wide eyes, wondering what would make a loyal and respected soldier like General Salaam turn against his King.
