It had been almost twenty-four years since the colonists had originally left earth. Once young and robust, many now had children of their own and were beginning to grey and ache. And yet it was finally completed. After twenty-four years they at last had a place to call home. Orbitting slowly around the second planet of the Alpha Centuri system, a space base had been built. But more than just a military base, a home. It was roughly 5,000 feet in length, 800 feet wide, and roughly cylindrical. It sat so the pole of the planet it orbitted were nearly parallel to the length of the station. The distant sun shimmered off the blue hull plating, and into various ports along portions of the ship. And at last it was ready to be activated.

As colony ships held position around the station, a skeleton crew had entered the command center with space suits, as environmental systems were to be activated in this venture. Nearly everyone who could fit crowded along viewports in the various colony ships, watching anxiously. Minutes ticked by, as disheartenment began to drift into the colonists. A few began to move slowly away from the port, until all at once the station groaned to life. Lights activated along the hull and the landing bay opened inviting the colonists entry to their new home.

A live recording on all frequencies opened. A man in a black uniform with clowly cropped brown-grey hair offered a slight, firm smile. "This is Commander Talin of space station Theta 7. We offer cordial greetings to our intergalactic neighbors and recognize their establishment before our own. With this in mind, we offer ambassador positions aboard Theta 7 with the hope of establishing closer contacts with your peoples."

What do you mean "ambassador" positions?

In an effort to establish relations with various alien races and sects, we offer what would essentially be embassy positions on our modest station. Ambassadors are given only the utmost respect, their personal chambers lavishly decorated, and any luxury possible afforded them. Acknowledging our relative youth in comparison to other space-faring races, we hope to make strong ties through diplomacy in order to learn and grow.

Can a Modern Tech Nation Assocaite with you?

Well, my small alliance(region) is made up of 3 main species
1:Skaven(oldest and theirs more of em
2:Tau(fairly old, but not so many)
3:Myr(youngest whipper-Snapper)
Since I get donations from all the members in my region, I would like to send three ambasadors(1 of each), as for accomodations....they can provide for themselves(especially the Myr)

To the Horned Rat:

Your ambassadors are recognized and are cleared for docking when they arrive. Due to station weapons regulations we may not allow more than side arms to be carried while on green alert. However, for the safety of your ambassadors, any escorts you choose to send would have access to our armory in times of crisis (i.e. a boarding). Furthermore we ask you limit the number of guards to four per ambassador. This is to hold true for all nations.

To the East Coast Federation:

We would be happy to participate in a cultural exchange with your people. As the station is relatively new and we have not yet fully established ourselves in space, our treasury is nearly empty. However, we could not ask money from you. We suggest, if you feel it prudent, you provide a donation to the station treasury of whatever amount you feel is fair. An ambassador from the East Coast Federation is welcome to reside on Theta 7 if you so choose. We currently only possess two shuttle craft, the Rasminko and the Unk, but we would be happy to dispatch the Rasminko as soon as we receive your acceptance.

ooc: I'm going to be heading out of the country for 2 weeks, but I'll bring this thread back to life when I get back. Feel free to continue posting, just no attacks or anything too serious.

The Republic of Anime-Otakus is happy to establish diplomatic relations with this new nation. A Silverwind-II class transport will be launched from our lunar colony of Gaza Prime, carrying diplomatic staff, to rendezvous with perhaps an escort ship sent out from your nation.

Then we can begin discussions in earnest.
