Over the past few years Magdhan scientists have been working on perfecting the Ebola virus by making it have a higher mortality rate and air transmissability. Three months ago the virus was sucessfully created and named "Kali". We have designed Kali for almost 98% mortality and is infectious as the flu virus. We are keeping "Kali" under close watch and so far have decided that Kali is not to be used as a weapon.

[Such a high mortality rate would cause a quick burnout, especially in a hemorragic fever. The relatively slow incubation period (about six months to a year) and an 80% mortality rate would be ideal for such a weapon.]

Update: It looks like one of my generals struck a deal to put 10 warheads full of "Kali" on ICBM.

Sacqu is now reconsidering the uneasy alliance with Magdha and call for the suspension of production and destruction of all stockpiles. If Magdha uses Kali, or indeed even sells Kali, Sacqu will be forced to declare war.

Dr. Prafaul Bidwai looked down through the clear eye slit of his toxic environment suit at the airtight container full of the last two samples of Kali on earth.

Months ago he had brought it to life, a new virus, the perfect killing machine. And now he was to destroy it. A beauty of death, gone forever. Every other sample had been destroyed by the new Magdhan government, they were so eager to put their past behind them. But he could not let this beauty die. He proceeded to walk to the in room incinerator, sad at the thought of loosing the virus he worked years to make.

And then, his moment came....
In the security room a sleeping guard had a cigarette dangling in his mouth over a spilled puddle of gasoline. As he moved his mouth slightly the cigarette fell and ignnited the gasoline which sent a trail of flames into the mainframe, destroying it in a fire and prompting evacuation procedure.

Back in the lab, the viruses sat in their airtight case when the evacuation procedure began to remove the air from the room and sprayed it with disenfectants. Bidwai's hazardous environment suit had an airtank on it so he remained unharmed as the room became airless. Suddenly he saw his chance as the corridor out opened up. He grabbed his viruses amd ran though, pulling off his HIS and placing the Kali samples in his pockets. He ran into the throng of people evacuating the building and became a part of it.
He smiled with the knowlege that his dozens of fake passports and knowlege of several boat captains willing to smuggle him out of the country meant that he could put this disease in the hands of another nation within the next day.

ic: Dr. Bidwai had gathered a few valuables and his passport. He wouldn't need much, after he sold a sample he would be a rich man. And the second could always be used to produce more viruses.

He walked onto the port of Bombay with just a knapsack, rounding a corner and heading into an abandoned warehouse. "Hello, Ravi are you here?". "Yes, just give me a second, I gotta fine tune the boat." He answered with a friendly tone. Ravi walked out of the boatslip and into the main room. "So, do you have something that needs smuggled out?" He asked in his same tone. Dr Bidwai looked at Ravi for a second and said, "I need to smuggle myself out to a country that desires a weapon of mass infection." Ravi always knew when ships were passing off the coast, even foreign warships. "I know of a warship that will go by here thirty miles out tomorrow morning, the captain is a friend of mine and his government may want some bio weapons." "Who is the nation?"asked Dr. Bidwai. "Parthia".

The Parthian destroyer Arleigh Burke moved closer to the Rendez-Vous point. He licked his lips when he thought of the reward the government offered for anyone who can bring a scientist capable of producing advanced viruses. The Shah would be pleased once he sees this find.

The speedboat dashed through the waves towards the Parthian warship on the horizon. They were little more then one mile away, and getting closer by the second. They could see rope ladders hanging from the side and seamen on the deck preparing for Dr Bidwai to arrive.

Minutes later Bidwai was climing up the rope ladder hanging from the destroyer's side while Ravi sailed off towards Bombay.

The Captain walked over to the doctor.

The destroyer now turned home for the port of Hormuz and will arrive in a few days.

The Destroyer docked in the Port of Hormuz and the first to disembark were Dr. Bidwai and The Captain. They walked across the port to a waiting black limousine which shuttled them directly to a private jet bound for Persepolis.
When they were in their seats the captain looked at the doctor and spoke to him.
(Captain) How are you transporting the virus without leaking it or contaminating everything?
(Dr. Bidwai) My government designed a vaccum sealed, hollow, titanium rod to transport the virus.
Dr Bidwai reached into his pocket and removed the rod which was little more then an inch in diameter and two in height.
(Dr. Bidwai) Inside this rod is the most devestating agent known to man.
(Captain) I hope your right.

The plane landed in the town of Persepolis with a screeching halt before turning towards the military hanger and lowering the staircase. As the captain and Dr. Bidwai walked down the stairs two men waved to them.
(Man 1) I will be taking you two to see the Shah, please enter my limosine.
Dr. Bidwai and the captain complied.
It was only a ten minute drive to the outskirts of the palace. Surrounded by a wall topped with arches and pillars the palace irradiated the athmosphere of a fortress. The limo stopped at the large wooden and steel gate, one of four ways into the palace. The driver took out a swipe card and exited the vehicle, using the card to enable the security password. He then typed in the 10 digit code and stepped back into the car as the gate opened. They drove in passing the Royal Fire temple with a golden Faravahar above the wide entranceway. The street was lined with trees and to one side a garden and a pond reflecting light caught Dr. Bidwai's eye. As they approached the main entryway for the palace, over five floors high, topped with domes and held up by thousands of pillars he gasped in awe as a single, gilded dome reflected light onto the pond. As they approached the main entryway the twenty foot doors, with the seal of Parthia carved into them and the doorway topped by a stone carved Faravahar, opened into the entry way. The foyer was lined with marble floors and walls. The room was fifty feet in height and ended in a dome, painted with the scenes of a hunt. Armed 'Immortals' stood in front of the gilded doors leading to the throne room. Others stood near the other sets of gilded doors, leading to the west and east wings of the palace.

The Immortals stepped forward from the doors and seached them for weapons, only then did they open the doors to the throne room. Guarded by six Immortals, Dr Bidwai and the captain walked into the room. The throne room was even grander than the entryway. Persian rugs led down a central aisle ten feet wide. To the sides colums running from the floor to the ceiling fifty feet above further marked the aisle. At the end of the room a colossal dome (The largest one in the palace), entirely covered in gold, sat above the Shah's throne. To the sides Immortals looked at the guests with suspicious gazes. The whole room was one hundred feet in length, fifty feet wide, and fifty feet high.

Ten feet from the throne the immortals told the guests to kneel and look down upon the ground and not to speak unless spoken to. The Shah's throne was gold and covered with hundreds of diamonds. The only skylight in the dome shined down upon the throne causing it to sparkle.

Dr. Bidwai and the Captain then rose to their feet, still averting their eyes from the Shah.
(Shah)Captain, for bringing me this scientist I have your reward... Twenty five million Parthis. You are a rich man, now go enjoy it. You are dismissed.

Recently the Head Scientist Prafaul Bidawai diappeared along with two samples of the Kali virus. Though Magdha is doing everything in our power to track him down he seems to have disappeared and apparently taken the virus samples with him.

Statement:

The nation of Jackuul has obtained and detained Head Scientist Prafaul Bidawai. I am sorry to say he did not survive interrogation after an infection of a small part of the population. Our Environment stops the virus from spreading and we have developed sterilizing technology to break down the walls of the virus and destroy its genetic information. All in all only 400,000 people were infected, and 30,000 died. Of those 380,000 aprx survivors they now have developed an immunity to the virus. The virus, as it mutated through the population, became weaker and weaker, and dissipated by the 19th generation into nothing more than a cold. Its high mutation rate made it weaker and it went from person to person and assimilated a part of their DNA.

This virus is relatively deadly up to the first 15 generations. After that it becomes very very weak with the exception of 2 super strains, that were obtained from the dying victims, and have been duplicated and stored in our missile silos. Our Buron missiles will easily reach any location in the northern and southern hemisphere. And because we have such a cold climate, their heat readings can be hidden with layers of ice.
