The USF has recieved an offer from the ESUS to merge together under the banner of the ESUS. We must take a vote on wether or not to join forces. If we do not join with the ESUS, we can always sign treaties with them. Please consider this heavily, as it may drastically change the USF.

RE: COMBINING THE ESUS AND THE USF

We bring you greetings from the Extra Solar Union of Systems. We have extended this offer to your alliance to allow our two alliances to work in conjunction with one another to promote a single great Alliance that spans multiple galaxies. With the resources of all our great nations combined will allow for the increased expansion rate of the one larger alliance. Plus, it is much easier to promote a single alliance, than to promote multiple alliances who are taking the strength out of each other. If the USF merges into the ESUS, the benefits will be twofold. First of all, you will have the protection of the 30 plus nations currently in the ESUS and an ironclad pact with them all. Secondly, we will be improved with the addition of your entire alliance. Our membership would jump from 30 to more than 40. It is a good deal for both alliances. Consider the offer.

I will vote in favor of this motion, under the inclination that ESUS will grant USF nations the same processions as other ESUS parties. Strength in numbers and unity are always stronger than lone action.

I will vote last, or if no one else votes, they will be considered to have abstained. One more RL day, I think we should give'em.

The Federation of Teatroia will vote, with reservations, to join with the ESUS to join in said alliance. The only reason the reservations are held are not doubts about the sincerity of the offer. It is because the USF is so newly formed that I am concerned for its continued well-being.

However, in my position as USF Foreign Relations Minister, I vote to join the ESUS, although I would ask that some of the nations of the USF be granted some sort of position in the ESUS, so the current member states of the ESUS are not in a position of great disadvantage.

The Holy Empire of Finnultia votes against the merger. HEF believes that many fears Teatroia articualted are real and not enough information is known yet. It is best to wait and draw out terms so that USF members will retain independence and equal powers while in ESUS. The vote against the offer is not to spite ESUS, and hopefully USF and ESUS can join forces soon.

For USF members knowledge, every single nation in the ESUS retains the separate, sovereign ability to control their nations actions. Also every ESUS nation shares in the alliance as an equal member. Leadership nations and nations who are just members do not have any discernable differences other than the fact to use a hierarchal structure to maintain sanity in the alliance. Also, if the USF nations join the ESUS, some positions will be given to your nations but that will need to be decided at a later time.

In that case, as long as these terms are upheld, the Federation of Teatroia supports the merger to the ESUS and will vote in favor.

I would also like to suggest, as a symbol of our new untiy a perhaps new name as well? Just an idea for the masses.

It would be a good idea to read over the constitution of the ESUS first, available at http://esus.illspirit.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2

It will not be changed just to accomodate this merger, however, if any nations who do join through this wish to push a change, they may do so the same way as any other ESUS member - a majority vote.

If this merger goes ahead, all members merging with the ESUS will undergo the standard ESUS admission test - a simple RP skills test. Most need not worry about it. All nations who join the ESUS must agree to the constitution.

We will not change our name.

In light of the recent information so graciously provided by The Grand Atheist Empire of The Mindset, Finnultia is reversing the decision to vote against the USF-ESUS merger. While the fundamentals of USF are indeed a great foundation, ESUS has already articulated them into a much more organized and established organization. Finnultia hopes that the merger is a success and that USF members will greatly contribute to ESUS.

Looks like all the votes that we'll be getting. The UFGZ will vote to merge. However, should there turn out to be problems with the merger or dissent within the ESUS/USF, The USF will be re-formed as a separate body.

You will need to get in touch with our Director of Admissions Testing, Central Facehuggeria. He will supervise the testing of the new members onsite so we can make this proceed as smoothly as possible. We are having everyone do these tests including the two Senior Directors of the ESUS, Indra Prime and The Mindset. Once you submit your "application" on the site, and everything is in order, the more significant events will occur.
