The AustralianRepublic seeks diplomatic relations
The AustralianRepublic

My nation's goverment is formally inviting nations to exchange embassies with us in the hope of establishing strong and friendly diplomatic ties. Note - no dictatorships or totalitarian states of any kind are welcome.
It is important for us to establish such ties as we have just applied for UN membership and thus need to forge friendships and alliances to make our way in the world. We hope all parties can benefit in the long run; be it economically, socially etc.
Feel free to respond and I will personally make arrangements for our Foreign Affairs ministry to accomodate you in our hospitable capital Canberra or any of our major cities (Melbourne, Sydney etc.) as soon as possible.
Kindest regards,

As mayor of the city I would like to welcome you to do so in the “diplomatic district” of the city, not far from the parliament, the palace of justice, the Presidential palace and the city council were my office is located, but we will be able to speak more in detail about this on your official state visit.

Although our nation is not actively pursuing pacts or alliances at the moment, we have just returned to the world stage of international politics and would like to establish a line of communication with your nation. In return for an embassy within your state, we are prepared to offer the establishment of one within our nation.

Ooc: I’ve noticed the other thread your in  and I think you seem to be grasping the game well, maybe not the terms perfectly but you are definatly not a noob. A newbie yes but….
Anyways I hope you stick around eh? We need more and more good players.
Quick question though, is your nation actually Australia (RL location) or some made up continent, like mine. :D
IC:
The Federation of The AustralianRepublic, The Dominion of Nova Hope formally accepts your offer of an exchange of embassies. I believe upon further investigation you will see that we fit your requirement of not being a totalitarian regime as our peoples civil and political freedoms are quite ‘good’. While not personally prescribing to the United Nations due to internal disputes about ‘abuse of power’ and ‘loss of national sovereignty’ you should find that we are really quite an amicable sort and also share the hope for mutual benefits via ambassadorial exchange.
Before we get down to the ‘nuts and bolts’ of an exchange of embassies I need to ask you a bit about the climate in Canberra so that we may better prepare our embassy staff for the task of living and working inside your nation.

We agree to house the presidential entourage and build the consulate/embassy in the diplomatic district of Alta Vila. As for security issues, the President shall travel with a small entourage of 25 - mostly aides, but including 5 personal bodyguards and another 5 ASIO (secret service) agents.
We look forward to arriving in Alta Vila and for the leaders of our two nations to get to know each other and discuss the possibilities regarding a strong alliance between Australia and Nuovo Campania.

Yeah...some fiasco that one. And you're right...noob/newb I got the terms confused that time
I'm not really a newb to be honest, it's just that I mostly play as another nation.

IC: To the Nova Hope Foreign Affairs Dept,
Canberra tends to be slightly chilly and overcast most of the year, although it is quite beautiful on clear sunny days. But most of the time it is foggy and rainy, so if it is of any conveneince a move to the sunny climate of Sydney or Brisbane may be in order.

We pride our selves on being able to set up an embassy in any condition. We currently have an embassy in a country which has a raging civil war booming around it. Mind you special precautions were taken there, a jet with a positive thrust to weight ratio and a steam catapult, but the measure for your embassy will be far less drastic. Our designers were thinking something along the lines of extra insulation and a greenhouse so that we could support our country’s flora and fauna in the embassy, to give the feeling of home to our workers. As soon as you give the go ahead we will begin contracting to construct the embassy in your capital.
P.S. Diplomatic Corps personnel Arishia Saito has been assigned to your country and when the embassy is fully constructed she will be sworn in as the Ambassador to your country.

Add in a local paper:
Do you have what it takes to make it in the field of construction?
We are looking for several skilled unionized workers to fill positions on the construction of the Noviet embassy in the Alta Vila district. The job will last two months (a couple of RL hours) and references appreciated but not necessary. Apply in person. Experience in the field preferred.
We would certainly like to establish an embassy and diplomatic relations with the Australian Republic.
OOC: My nation is RL around the same area, no exact location though. Recognise my flag?

Ministry of State Dispatch
The Commonwealth of McQuaide desires to welcome the Australian Republic into the international community. In order to foster better diplomatic relations between our two states, the Commonwealth desires to make the following offer for exchange of diplomatic missions:
1) Exchange of embassy facilities. The government of the Australian Republic will be provided with one of our four-story, spacious and modern embassy facilities in our capital's 'Embassy Row'. These buildings, buit six years ago on the banks of the Liffey river, are equipped with the modern communications and security systems that modern diplomatic missions demand. We will also offer a similar, but smaller, consular facility in our inland industrial and agricultural city of Novy Tiblisi.
2) Nation in Good Standing trade status. Reduced or eliminated tarriffs, extended rights to Australian Republic corporations within Commonwealth borders.
3) Military non-aggression treaty. This can, upon a period of negotiation, result in a mutual defense pact.
4) Cultural exchange. Citizens of the Australian Republic shall be welcomed in McQuaide universities, hospitals, and other facilities, enjoying the same rights as McQuaide citizens. In case of legal trouble, Barretta citizens can be extradicted to Australian Republic Courts, on the condition that similar rights be extended in the trial process.

The republic of WesternAustralia formerly recognises the nation of the AustralianRepublic and wishes to exchange embassies to assist in the facilitation of regional peace, trade and security. If the AustralianRepublic wishes to establish an embassy with WesternAustralia we cordially invite the President to attend a celebratory function at Parliament House for good relations and co-prosperity between the two halves of the continent.

22-06-2004, 02:52
To the nations of Anime-Otakus, Kanabia, Exonerate and The Masterless, the government of the AustralianRepublic humbly accepts your individual offers of diplomacy. We shall dedicate the coming fortnight to arranging the safe arrival of your ambassadors to our land, and ours to yours.
As for the Commonwealth of McQuaide, we also accept your offer of ambassadorial exchange but aren't committed to forging any military/non-aggression pacts at present. Perhaps in the near future we will be able to sit down and discuss in detail if this is possible.
To all, my nation humbly expresses its gratitude in response to your goodwill. May these fledgling friendships further develop in peace and prosperity for the betterment of all concerned.
For obvious and understandable reasons, we do not recognise an independent WesternAustralia which, as a constituent state of the Australian nation has and will always be bound to it.
Yours gratefully,
