Fighting the still cold spring weather, 4 transport ships, packed with military engineers, commandos, LAVs, supply trucks and bulldozers, race down the St.-Lawrence river.

"Commander, as the intel told us, this place looks pretty much empty."
"That's exactly what we want. Did you think we'd attack claimed land with such forces? This isn't a risk to take."
"But, there really is nothing... I mean, we need to build everything!."
"So, the 3 other cargo ships, we'd have brought them for fun."
"Erm... No sir, I guess."
"Good, you understand pretty fast."

The Commander radios to the ships pilots : "GPS Coordinates seems to indicate we arrived at the planned spot. Position to unload the bulldozers."

The bulldozers touch the land, and start to prepare the way for the supply trucks, LAVs and military personel inside the cargos.

To be followed.

OOC : I claimed the land cause seemingly, it's not, but if it is then I will back up. I have no expansion intentions.

We warn you that Communist Louisiana is in control of Nova Scotia which has been renamed Acadia.
Neo-Soviet Russia

(Just to inform you but any place you take, less it is truelly unpopulated will have people in it, a military-like organization [even if just a militia], and some sort of structure. With that you'll still have to either fight or take the place through diplomatic means. In a few I'll show some decent examples.)

No problem sir, Canadian land must be shared peacefully like it has always been. We will not take land out of Quebec Province.

OOC : Neo-Soviet Russia, well I added but deleted the commandos in my message, guess I'll add them back in.

Follow up...

Once all forces are landed, the orders are issued.

"OK, here's how it goes.

The 1st Engineering Squad is charged of the construction of the runway and of temporary housing facilities.
The 1st Joint IFV/SPECFOR Squad is charged of the defense of the airfield perimeter.
The 1st Supply Force is charged of supplying food, equipment and materials to the units working on the airfield.

Then, the 2nd objective is to build an outpost, including housing and the command center, near the St.Lawrence River.

The 2nd Engineering Squad is charged of the constuction of the buildings.
The 2nd Communications Squad is charged of the establishment of proper communication methods.
The 2nd Joint IFV/SPECFOR Squad is charged of the defense of the construction perimeter.
Supplies will be ferried directly from the ships to the outpost, as they are very close.

The last job is to make sure the job gets done.

The 3rd Engineering Squad is charged of finishing up basic roads, and install temporary docks for further sea shippings.
The 3rd Joint IFV/SPECFOR is charged of escorting units to the 2 main objectives.

OOC: I'd like to know if Quebec is your home province or something...otherwise I'd be tempted to get involved.

I figure that I'll contest it if no one else does... just to make it interesting (not that I want the trouble of having Quebec) Parlez vous francais?

OOC : Yes, it's really my home province. Le français est ma langue maternelle.

Suburbs of Quebec City. Saint-Émile it's called, but we were forced to merge with Quebec City.

I'll RP the rest in a second...

With no time to loose, the 1st Operation Group (1st IFV/SPECFOR, Engineering and Supply) made its way to the planned grounds for the airfield, bulldozers opening the way. All went well when, from behind, a soldier yelled "Holy crap, natives!". Willing to cooperate, but unable to because of the language, soldiers set into position and LAVs prepared to fire. Suddenly, Tomahawks (not the cruise missile, the real tomahawks) went flying in the air, hitting a soldier in the leg. "Load him up, load him up" one of his comrades yelled, and 3 of them took him in the back of a LAV, where his injuries could be treated.

Now, the dillema was big. Should we open fire? They shot upon us, yes, but they fight with sticks and stones! Seems unfair... The radio specialist radioed to the commander : "Sir, we're being attacked by natives, what do we do?"
"What are you waiting for to raise your hands?"
A common What the hell could be heard from soldiers...
"Why?"
"Shut up and do so."

The soldiers raised their hands, and as they did so the natives dropped their weapons and approached. The chief came first, and the Group Commander went towards him. He took out a map, and showed the chief a map. His objectives were circled. The chief, then, put his finger where his village is. The Group Commander did a sign of approval, showing the chief he won't trouble them. Satisfied, the natives went back to their village.

The radio specialist radioed to the commander again : "It worked."
"That was easy, now how are we gonna deal with them?"
"We should put them in reservations and they won't pay taxes." (OOC :  )
"Sounds good to me...".

To be continued.
