This morning, Prime Minister Marcus Jones, recently returned with his wife from Formal Dances, announced a call-up of the category B units for war. Saying that it was necessary to meet the dire threat from capitalists with all the resources of the nation, he quoted from "The Sacred War", saying "this is a people's war we wage, a people's sacred war!" Approximatedly 175 divisions are classed as category "B" units, equipped mostly with T-64BVs, T-72BMs, and other equipment of a similar vintage. Air force "B" units include MiG-23s and -27s, Su-15s, and Tu-16s, while Navy units (some 200 ships) include Victor-II and Alfa SSNs and Charlie-II SSGNs.
He continued that it was "vital for us to realise that if we let them win now, they will win everywhere. We must stand and fight! This nation is now on a war footing, and thus all factories are now being turned over to the production of war materials. There are to be no further flights into and out
of this nation except for trade with our allies. All for the front, all for victory, comrades!" He was later seen alongside his wife Lucy, both of them working in a plant just rejigged for producing tanks.
