Now the WGN nightly news at 10. Live from Michigan Avenue in downtown we bring you information ministers and WGN news team, Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and Darrin Jackson!

Hawk: Hello Chicago, I'm Hawk Harrelson with my partner DJ.

DJ: Hey there.

Hawk: our top story, Chicago is now begining the annual Taste of Chicago summer food festival in Grant Park. Our President, the honorable Mayor Richard M. Daley opened the ceremony today. 5 million are expected to attend the 2 week event ending July 4th. Security has heightened but there is a severe risk of a terrorism attack. Chicago is at code orange for the festival.

DJ: Traffic will be snarled up on Lake Shore Drive to Michigan Avenue from both lower and upper Wacker Drive the site of the famous Blues Brothers chase I might add to Roosevelt Road. Jackson Blvd will be closed for the event as will RAndolph Street.

The CTA will be running extra buses. Metra is extending service and trains from the suberbs. The South Shore Line will also extend service from NW Indiana. The trains will stop at Van Bueren. If you want to take a shuttel you can get off at Roosevelt road or park in the Soldier Field or McCormick place parking lots It is advised to take Public Transit as I-94 from the Ryan to the Edens will be clogged. 294 at the Bishop Ford will be a problem as will the Stevenson at I-55.

OOC: I am 16 and have been going to taste since I was 3. I use to call it "caka cacago" (when I was 3 and didn't know what it was called).

Going to it in RL in a week. I will RP this one (not as a terrorist). I live in Valpo, IN so I actually use the South Shore RR to get there (from the Dune Park station in Chesterton, or as we in Valpo call it "cheesetown" to the Van Burren station (or when just going in the city to Randolph)).

I love this one Lobster restaurant that is near Buckingham fountain every year. I also like the WFLD Fox station's area

IC: 10,000 IDF citizens will be attending the festival and one of the restaurant stalls will be carrying IDF food as it is run by an IDF native.

Several John Jacobian terrorists were in position in the local subway.

(Terrorist one) The great light shines brightly. *he adjusted the detonator hidden in his coat

(Terrorist two) This will be a glorious day for General Ralboon

OOC: Chicago's only subways are red and blue line, not in the area here. If you want a mass transit attack do it at Van Burren station or on trains of Metra and South Shore Line (there is a reason I posted that info)

That is true, train attacks will cause massive casualties. I know I've been on the taste trains and they are packed with no standing room. Metra is even more potential for destruction as it is a double deck train vs single deck on South Shore Line

A lone terrorist, a fairly young man with a backpack full of explosives, stands on the train station next to Washington Libray. He looks up and down the loop, waiting for the train to roll by.

OOC: I love chicago, my sis got married in that library...

OOC: I love Chicago too.
I will let the attack go through as I wanat to RP this.

I do wish to add that you are near CTA trains they don't run to the taste. I recomend you take Metra down South to Van Burren and then make your attack.

IC: Lazy Chicago police were too busy eating donughts and yelling at J-walkers to notice the terrorists.

City workers in city trucks with counter-terrorism training were sleeping in trucks as allowed by stupic Daley's Union rules (I hate mayor Daley He is so ****ing corrupt)

Announcer: Now welcome once again to WGN News at 9. Now are DJ and Hawk.

Hawk: Thank you, our top story tonight is the taste of Chicago. 200,000 showed up on this Father's Day for the opening day. Millions are expected during this week. Extra parking is now available in the lots under McCormick place.

DJ: You can get to the lots on Lake Shore Drive or take I-55 at the Stevenson to McCormick place.

Hawk: Now onto our other top story.

DJ: The Sox and Cubs are preparing for the beginning of the annual interleague subway series. This year it will begin with 3 games at US Cellular Field, or Comiskey if you still call it that. It is sold out, but tickets can be bought on E-bay or from scalpers. Being as we are former Sox players and current announcers, Gooooooo SOX!

Hawk: Mark Buehrle will start for the Sox in the 1st game. He is 7-1. He will go against Mr. Overrated himself, Kerry Wood who is 3-3. Also pitching for the Cubs this series are overrated Greg Maddux (4-5) and Prior (1-1) with a high ERA in his 3 starts. The Sox will also have Esteban Loaiza and Jon Garland going off the mound.

DJ: We also learned that Magglio Ordonez will make his 1st start since his knee surgery. He truly is the best right fielder in Chicago.

Hawk: There will be heavy security, but terrorism is still likely.

OOC: This is a good terrorist target, but kill Cubs players only, killing Sox players will be ignored, but Cubs are OK because I hate them.

I wouldn't mind killing the Cub players, but it appears you want terrorism and I can't do that

Now WGN News at 9, our new news team Hawk and DJ.

DJ: Welcome to tonights Chicago news on channel 9 WGN.

Hawk: WGN (both now) YESSSSSS!

DJ: The Taste is continuing. Traffic is becoming a problem on the Chicago Skyway Toll Bridge portion of I-80/90 which is down to 1 lane in each direction. Take alternate route US-41 at South Shore Dr. and Lake Shore Dr.

Hawk: The Cubs and Sox prepare to take out their annual rivalry at the Cell this weekend. The Sox won today in 10 against the Indians. Now some clips from the game we announced.

(Iwas actually there and saw Hawk and DJ along with Da Sox. Hawk looked drunk during the 7th inning stretch, but I think he was doing his Harry Carray impression)

DJ: The Sox played poorly but got the win.

Hawk: 1st inning, Loaiza starts and goes 3 and up collecting a K (audio now from game with Hawk announcing) here comes cutter fastball down the middle, HE GONE!.

Sox then do well in bottom half of inning, Willie Harris and Juan Uribe were walked in 18 pitches, Big Hurt then hits Willie home with a nice single to center. El Caballo sent Juan home with a hit ruled an error. Bases were loaded after Jose Valentin got on and Paulie got walked, 3 runs cross the plate.

The Indian's pitcher only goes 2/3 of an inning, 3 Earned runs, and 50 pitches.

In the 3rd, the Sox got hot again. Now lets go to a clip from that inning...

DJ: Big Hurt up to bat, Uribe and Olivo on base.
Hawk: Pitch, hit deep to left. Waaaay Back! He Looks up, YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOOOOOAAAARRRRDDD eee YESSSSSS! 3 run shot for the Big Hurt and the Sox lead 8-0.

Hawk: The lead couldn't hold unfortunately. Loaiza gave up 1 hit in first 4, but in the 5th he gave up 6 earned runs. Neil Cotts came in from the pen and got a double play with the bags loaded to end the inning.

Cotts then gave up 2 earned runs to tie it up in the 6th.

Demaso Marte pitched 2 relief innings giving up 1 HR to Coco Crisp giving the Indians a 9-8 lead in the top of the 8th. The Sox fired back as Carlos Lee got a double and then was
