The Lands of Alex is holding presidential elections after coming out of a dictatorship. Prime Minister Theodore Helenson (Liberterian) is monitoring elections closely. The new prime minister took office after Phillip Yapan resigned to run for president. Candaidte details:

Candidate: Phillip Yapan
Party: Liberterian
History: soldier, Second prime minister, general, first interim president, fifth prime minister
Issues: pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, liberal in civil rights, would continue current economy but allow capitilist companies to grow under government watch
Foriegn Policy: Semi-Isolationist
People's Suport: Overwhelming Nation-Wide Suport

Candidate: Jack Mann
Party: Federal Reform (for large federal government generaly moderate conservatives)
History: lawyer, ammbassador to UN
Issues: pro-life, neutral on gay marrriage, moderate conservative civil rights, would mainstream the socialist system on the federal level
Foriegn Policy: Pro- Alliance with old distingueshed nations
People's Suport: Realitvely Unheard Of

Candidate: Jean Bleu
Party: Patriot Party (moderate conservatives)
History: lawyer, provincial assembly member, interim council member, member of parliament
Issues: pro-life, says gay marriage is a provinicial issue, moderate conservative civil rigths, maintain current economy
Foriegn Policy: Ally to All
People's Suport: Major Amount

Candidate: Zacharias Placard
Party: Imperialist Party
History: former prince
Issues: pro-life, anti-gay, super conservative, pro-capatilism, would restore monarchy
Forien Policy: Isolationist
People's Suport: Hated

Will the new government join any alliances?
And will you increase taxes? If so what for?

Phillip Yapan: "The new government won't join any alliances but may affiliate itself with them. Also, I would lower taxes."

Jack Mann; "I would join alliances benefiting our nation. I would also raise taxes and spend the raised money to strengthen the federal government."

Jean Bleu: "I wouldn't join alliances, because for every allly it gives you you get two enemies. Also, I would maintain taxes."

Zacharias Placard: "I would join alliances of protestant white nations. I would heavely tax non-whites and non-christians to pay for the royal family's lavish lifestyle."

There is not one candidate that the Empire of ITD would support. We hope that the Lands of Alex opt to select a different system of government, perhaps a Senate modeled after ancient rome. But, if a candidate must be chosen from the mentioned people, ITD must give its recommendation of Jean Bleu.

Teatroia would liek to express its support for Mr. Yapan, but would also like him to reconsider his policies on alliances wiht other coutnries. Is there any way you might be swayed from your beliefs in that regard?

Phillip Yapan: "I might join an alliance if I was certain it wouldn't entangle my nation in a web of foriegn policy."
