In the Presidents office:
"Sir! We've just received a report from the northern states! They've been attacked and seized by the Red Legion!" gasped the breathless courier to the President of Alexzandria. "They've taken control of several key government buildings and are threatening to begin executing government employees unless we free some 50,000 Red Legionaries from the Steel Maw prison!"
"How long have they given us?"
"About 96 hours, they're saying that because of the inefficiencies of our system, they'll be nice and give us four days to free the prisoners."
"Well, I say we capitalize on their little 'gift' and prepare a suitable response. You know what I mean, now get to it." stated the President firmly. A grin of anticipation spread across the couriers face as he entered the Department of the Armed forces.

Two Hours Later, outside the state of Ridge:
Elements of the 17th Battalion sat just outside the border, awaiting their signal to invade their own territory. Sgt. Akinar sat, impatiently tapping his SA-80 on a rock while puffing hurredly on his cigarette. "When's them damn artillery boys gonna start shootin'?" he grunted to the nearby Lt. Skye.
"Just wait, sergeant." stated the lieutenant. "They're not due to open fire on the city for another ten minutes."
"They'd better be a quick ten minutes. Mah shootin' finger's gettin' itchy." With that, he got up to go talk with his squad.
Meanwhile, about three miles behind the lines, the MLRS crews were putting the finishing touches on their guidance coordinates. "So now what?" asked Crpl. Barnes. The master sergeant looked at his watch, "We wait. We've got about three minutes before we start shooting. If you want, you better have your last smoke before those flyboys come overhead. HQ is counting on us to KO some of the Reds SAM sites so the Black Berets can get in and get the hostages out." The three minutes ticked by quickly, and soon, the dark forms of ten Black Hawk helicopters buzzed onto the southern horizon. The commanders arm dropped, and the crews fired the shots that started a war.

OOC: Dun-dun DUHH! Cliffhanger! You can get your own counter terrorist forces involved if you want, or just sit back and watch the carnage unfold. Later!

We wish the government luck in crushing the rebellion. We are sorry to say we cannot offer any support, however, due to our size.

OOC:
1) Can I aid the Reds covertly?
2) Can we get a map?

OOC:
Yes, you can aid them Reds covertly, and I'm sorry but I currently have no map of my country. (Yeah, yeah, reel in horror.) And any peacekeepers will be accepted. Anyway, onto the continuing saga.

IC:
Red Legion HQ, Badlands of the former nation of Mista T:
"Well, how's our little revolution going?" asked the man known only as Marx as he entered the breifing room.
"Horribly sir, the Government didn't panic like we anticipated. They also have managed to get their military up to a massive scale in the last two months. Out hostage ploy failed miserably. They managed to strike at each compound with a team of ten Black Hawk helicopters. We lost contact with the captials of Bane and Havoc with barely a fight. I'm glad to say we did take a few of them down at Ridge though." stated his advisor.
"What's the body count?"
"We've lost about 300 Red Legionaries with the loss of the compounds while they lost about 12 men when we shot down a Black Hawk and killed everyone aboard."
"And what of the hostages?" questioned Marx.
"They all were removed from the compounds by the Black Berets."
"Damn."

Five miles inside Ridge, in the city of Fist:
The ringing of the bullets off the hull of the Bradley was now reaching an almost unbearable pitch. Sgt. Akinar wasn't really listening to that, he was more listening to the strangely comforting roar of the Bradleys .50 cal. pouring lead into those Commie rebels. He took some consolation in the fact that they were getting the worst of it.
If this was all those damn rebels could muster, then this would be over before the week was out. PFC Schultz lit a cigarette and sat back, almost ignoring the pounding the APC was taking.
Suddenly, a high-pitched whine registered in the Sergeants ear. "What the hell's that whine?" he shouted to the driver.
"Airstrike! F/A-18s were called in three minutes ago!" the driver shouted back.

Several yards away from said Bradley:
Legionnaire Karl was hurredly emptying the ammo drum of his RPD at the Bradley. The thing seemed to almost not be noticing them, with the occasional volley of gunfire from that damn gun on its turret. That thing had killed most of his squad, leaving just him and Joseph in this building.
"Hows it going?" asked Joseph from the floor, where he had been laying for a while after being hit in the leg three times.
"Not good, that damn thing is giving far better than it's getting."
"Not surprising, considering that Bradley is basically a small tank and you're using a light machine gun on it. That's like trying to use a pebble to kill a Rhino."
"You make a good point. Hey, are you hearing some kind of a high-pitched scream of some sort?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"It seems like it's getting closer and..." It was then that Karl noticed a pair of silver dots in the sky. He suddenly began hearing a roaring noise that he assumed was the Bradley pounding another building, but quickly dropped that notion when he noticed a rather large missile comming at him.
"Oh sh..." Karl never finished his swear word as the missile smacked into the street right in front of his building. The last thing he ever saw was a massive fireball rolling towards him.

Back in the Bradley:
Seconds after the almost deafening blast, the firing from the Reds positions stopped enteirly. "Damn, those flyboys sure got 'em good." commented PFC Montgomery. It was then that a crackle of static came over the radio.
"Well done boys." came the slightly metallic voice of Lt. Skye, "The Reds are pulling out of the city. Looks like our job here in Fist is done."
"What's the latest death toll?" asked the sergeant.
"According to all our reports, I'd say we got a good two thousand of 'em. On our side, 3rd platoon got nailed by their own airstike. But other than that, we're fine. Skye, out."
"Damn. KOd by yer own airstrike. That sucks." Schultz stated.
"No time to dwell on that now men. We're heading on to Blitz at 02:00 tomorrow morning, so get your sleep now." ordered Akinar.

OOC: Well, the fight countiues! Later!
