Set sail to their new home, the uninhabited Middle Eastern country of Turkey. The 30 LMSR (Large, Medium Speed, Roll on\roll off) landed at the beaches, unleashing 5,000 Marines, 500 Leopard 3 MBT, 300 M3 Bradleys, 1,000 Humvees, and logistical/command vehicles. C17 Globemasters roared overheading scattering paratroopers into the wind in central and eastern turkey, while the western coast was being fortified. Within 7 hours, Marine engineers had huge makeshift airbases set up and Airforce F-18, F15, F16, F35, C17, and C5 Galaxys were landing. Planes went into Temp hangers, and the Cargo planes offloaded Marines, Engineers, and equipment. The fleets had begun several hours earlier on a blockade of the Turkish Coast. Subs scouted the surrounding areas. Their orders were to surface if they found any military ships to show they were friendly.

The 8th and 11th Fleets, the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force, and the 500,000 men and women of the 11th Grand Divison, en route for an unrelated war that failed are being diverted to Turkey to stop the Pedaphiliac Invastion of that proud and freedom loving land.

The 85 warships of the 8th and 11th Fleets will establish a Defensive Quarantine Zone around Turkey. The 3rd Fleet is currently enroute to the Turkish coast and is expected to arrive within 36 hours.

The Grand Duchy issues this statement:

No its not, because they have people and defenses. Turkey doesn't have anything, its just land.

Exactly, there is no single spot in the world that hasn't been claimed at least 3 or 4 times.

As for Spain--the RL Land Claims list does not list Spain or Rhodes as claimed.

If you are going to do an RP, do an RP.

See that is better, but you still need to RP resistence to the invasion.

Also, some advise. Start a new thread with your revised first post. Editing it like you did makes all of the subsequent posts seem out of whack.

If you don't do a proper good war RP, there is little to no chance of you getting Turkey.

OOC: It's not really advisable to just say you claim a piece of land, many will view it as an act of imperialism. You better try to find a legitimate reason, like a terror attack on your nation by terrorists from Turkey and as it is a threat to your nation you invade it, try to be creative. I'm not saying you'll get away with that, it's many times better than the thing you are trying now.

As for those older nations having claimed the land before you, I'm sure they used militairy force and an invasion as well, so why should yours be accepted as the legitimate one?

You have to RP an invasion and a war.

I too will agree your RP has to be a bit detailed. I'd suggest different points of view, from troops to the government to possibly turkish people themselves. have a reason for taking over Turkey, have your ships go there, not simply pop up. Think of it as a story, in order to write a good story you have to have a bit of detail, a number of different views, and a reason for every action.

Hamptonshire has authorisation to use Jeruselem (aka Israel) as a base for operations against Pedaphiliac according to the Concordia accord and we will support Hamptonshire. We do not wish Turkey to be invaded.

We have no aggressive plans for the middle east if we occupy Turkey.

Reminds me of my invasion of Yemen... I tried taking it, but then met resistance from other nations, and traded my withdrawl for some concessions.

Chellis, I contacted western asia about it...so i guess ill find out if i can keep turkey soon.
