OOC: This RPG is soley for those currently in GreaterBritain. Any resident may join an leave this RPG as and when he/she chooses to. The basic rules are that there must be a build up to any military action in which you establish your characteristics and more specifically your military type. This is the reason for the title "Cold War" - to develop a good character story rather than purely combat.

A cold chill swept through the dimly lit room as the terrifying news was revealed:
Military Intelligence Expert> Sirs of the council, I do not know what this means for Greater Britain or even what it means for our own nation but I do know... The construction of nuclear armaments can not go ignored. Other nations have now begin preliminary work and we have not. We haven't even begun mining for Uranium, this is a threat we MUST do something about!
Section Leader> Rest assured, Mr. Eau, we will look into this matter but we have no need to become aggressive to those nations who choose to delve into super powerful weaponry.
Military Intelligence Expert> Counciler, with all due respect :: stops talking ::
Leader> We will not show our distrust towards these nations, nor shall we begin work on our own nuclear armaments. We will, however, increase our defences and concentrate our whole nation on scientific understanding. For if we become more advanced in our defence and general existence we have no need to go into a nuclear war. :: turns to Military Section Leader :: Counciler, engage operation Scorpian. Send in our spies. Infiltrate our neighbours. Use our sympathisers. Gain enough information on this threat so that we can properly decide what is happening.

OOC: The Collective has initiated top secret research concentrating mainly on highly advanced defencive technologies. It has also begun covertly placing spies at unimportant sectors or neighbouring countries. These spies will do nothing at all to make themselves noticed. They will get jobs, live and work as normal citizens of each host awaiting command from The Collectve.

Leader> Greetings, I am the leader of The Collective. Most of you already know me but for those of you who do not, I am a friendly leader interested in scientific research and peaceful coexistence. It has been brought to my attention that some nations have begun mining Uranium and preliminary nuclear tests have been conducted. I hope that these tests are purely for electrical purposes in the hopes of providing a cheap source of power for your nation. If, however, it is for warfare then all national leaders must convine to discuss what has made such weaponry a part of our lives and work towards a peacful resolution. My communications officors will be monitoring public channels ready for any response you have. Thankyou for listening to this broadcast.
