Eagle flight took off in the dead of night- twelve F-117s set their course to athens, and there they would take revenge. At 1:00 AM Athens time they reached their targets- 10 churches and two neighborhoods where many militants were being recruited from.

The churches were each targetted by a 2000 lb smart bomb and directed there by satellites.

The two neighborhoods were mostly full of poor people- usually the most stupidly religious thought the pilot who dropped his clusterbomb before going home.

As a researcher of both World Wars, I must disagree. The main reason the Russians captured more was because Hitler himself did not supply his troops with proper gear for cold weather. Would you rather fight until you are frozen, or surrender? Or, as a Greek, become Communist. Russia was not a nation-state during WW2, mind you. The Soviet Union was. Learn your history, Mr. Greek History Major. Although the Soviet Union had broken the German advance, the Germans had been pushed back to an easily defended position, and the Winter was ending. There was a reason Stalin pushed the other Allied powers to mount Operation Overlord, and that reason was because Stalin knew that without the German troops being divided, he could not keep pushing, and they would push back. Stalin was losing FAR too many men, and would have soon been forced to retreat. Although it is true that the Normandy landings would have failed if it were not for the Soviets, it is also true that the Soviets would not have been victorious if it were not for the Normandy landings. And guess which nation headed off the Normandy landings? The majority of the troops were American. The British got lucky beaches that were lightly defended, and North Americans, such as the Canadian divisions and the American divisions, received the majority of fire. Without the American divisions, the others simply would have been overwhelmed.

There were two primary reasons the Ottoman Empire joined the war on the Entente side. One was because Germany gave them two battlecruisers. The other was because they needed German help in keeping their empire together. Again, if the United States had not intervened, the German assault un the southern trenches would have likely succeeded in a breakthrough. If the Allies had lost, German support to the Ottomans would have been tremendous. Both the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Ottoman Empire were broken up post-war in the Versailles Treaty, but do you really beleive they would have collapsed if the German Empire, which at the time would have been the foremost power in the world, was supporting them both economically and militarally? It is quite likely that the Ottomans would have re-annexed Greece post-war.

Side note: Americans did, more or less, bail most of Europe out in WWI. They were being pacifistic, not wishing to go to war. After being forced into the war by pestering from the Axis (history buffs can follow this up later) we kicked ass, overall. The fact of it was, the side of the Allies just got an extra person on their team, which really helped out. WWII, however, doesn't really count. The poster who said so was erroneus in that regard. Americans focused on fighting the Japanese, or Nipponese as they prefer, and the Japanese weren't really fighting anyone in Europe, as far as I know. The Allies won WWII against the Axis on their own (except for France, who were pretty much useless). America's WWII and Europes WWII were very different.

True, true. But then again, the point of Socialism is not to make the most money (contrary to Capitalism), but to secure equal rights and oppurtunities for everyone.

Side note: Americans did, more or less, bail most of Europe out in WWI. They were being pacifistic, not wishing to go to war. After being forced into the war by pestering from the Axis (history buffs can follow this up later) we kicked ass, overall. The fact of it was, the side of the Allies just got an extra person on their team, which really helped out. WWII, however, doesn't really count. The poster who said so was erroneus in that regard. Americans focused on fighting the Japanese, or Nipponese as they prefer, and the Japanese weren't really fighting anyone in Europe, as far as I know. The Allies won WWII against the Axis on their own (except for France, who were pretty much useless). America's WWII and Europes WWII were very different.


It's not _entirely_ true that the US bailed Europe out of WW1. The war was already going to a halt, and with enough time the "Allies" would most likely have won. However, the US _did_ spare Europe the loss of many, many more lives, and shortened the war greatly. Oh, and I wouldn't exactly call the French useless during the war. Sure, their government was a rather sissy one, but after the official surrender, there were alot of people who did "terrorism", and alot went over to the other Allied forces armies.

today; US pop: 250 million Soviet Pop: 145 million. Less Soviets then Americans. Many Soviets died because they used mass attacks, and if those failed they'd use mass attack (again). With 12 million men they aso had the largest army of the world. But thats communism, you can order millions to fight for you and they cant refuse it.

The MP40 was unfortunatly, not heavily distributed and only appeared in the hands of Panzergrenadiers en tankers. To be more correct: by 1942 a German company had 3 SMG(of which only one was an MP40). German propaganda created a myth around the MP40, distributing pictures that showed the weapon frequently. It was a fine weapon but there were more ZK383's on the eastern front then there were MP40s.

Next to the Mosin Nagant the Soviets used the SVT40, a gas operated rifle with mag capability of 10 bullets (in 43 it was copied by the germans as K43) and the PPsh41 was widely used in Stalingrad, in some cases entire companies with nothing but PPsh41s(which is a 7.62x25R mm weapon, it was recalibrated to 9mm by the Germans).
Last but not least they had the DP1929, an LMG with French origins, 47 bullets... it was much like the BAR.

By the time he does something, you'll probably have killed off every Hellenite in the nation, including all of their leaders. In turn, there will be no one left to surrender. :twisted:
