The new missile is being jointly developed by the CAD. It will be a long range weapon designed to be launched at high altitude from a Longsword bomber. The max speed will be approximately mach 4.5, the payload will be approximately 5000 kilos of explosives. In order to attain this amazing speed, the Longsword will launch from a very high altitude. The missile will be capable of both anti-ground and anti-shipping. The range of the weapon will be approximatley 950 nautical miles. It can be either GPS or laser guided. It is currently being debated weather an export version capable of being launched by conventional aircraft should be developed.
Tests are currently underway with the weapon, results will be back shortly.

We will send some of our best scientists to help, as well as some of our top pilots to take part in the tests.
