Central Authority Information Network Broadcast:

Jon Archer: Good evening and welcome to the seven o’clock news at eight. I’m Jon Archer.

Brett Dashington: And I’m Brett Dashington, filling in for Chad Helman.

Jon Archer: Our top story tonight, news personality Chad Helman executed for treason against Central Authority.

Brett Dashington: But now we take you live to the province of North Aarkodel where General Blutspeller is about to give a briefing on the growing Border Crisis.
Cue caption: “Border Crisis in Aarkodel!” The screen flashes to a podium decorated with the twin eagles of Wyrmsvaar. General Blutspeller steps up, a short, stocky man, clearly compensating for something with all of his medals, and begins to speak.

Blutspeller: Since the Han Civil War and the collapse of Luitinmus and TheNRA, those territories have fallen into the hands of “Imperial Viceroys.” These are little more than Warlords operating under the guise of the Emperor’s support, and they continually harass the borders of the Federation. As such, Central Authority has ordered the annexation of Imperial Protectorate Districts of Yun-Mei, Qin, and Pusay and the indictment of the Viceroys therein for violations of the Han Accords. The First Airborne Cavalry has been mobilized along with the Third and Fourth Infantry Divisions and the Tenth Heavy Armor Division. A message has been sent to the Emperor explaining our actions. The three Viceroys, Erwin Fuscher, Holland Mencken, and Rupert Heinlin have received orders to cease and desist their border violations or they will suffer immediate reprisals and annexation. They have seventy-two hours to respond, then the First Airborne Cavalry will commence operations against Yun-Mei, Qin, and Pusay.

Fade back to studio.

Message Sent to the Han Emperor
[code:1:57a19b9024]
Your Most Exalted Imperial Majesty,
We bring to your attention the actions of Viceroy Erwin Fuscher, Viceroy Holland Mencken, and Viceroy Rupert Heinlin. These three men have abused the power which your Grace deigned to grant them, and they carry out a campaign of murder and destruction against the peoples of the Wyrmsvaari province of Aarkodel. We will no longer tolerate this. The three have received notifications to discontinue their violation of the Wyrmsvaari-IPD borderline. If a positive response is not received within seventy-two hours, those territories will be attacked and occupied until such time as more pacifistic Viceroys can be installed.

(OOC): I’m looking for nations to play the parts of the Imperial Protectorate Districts of Yun-Mei, Qin, and Pusay since we don’t have those actual nations in our region. TG me if you want to play as them.

CAIN Broadcast:

Jon Archer: Twenty-four hours remain until the deadline for Central Authority's "Tridistrict Decree" expires. If Pusay, Yun-Mei, and Qin do not agree to cease border violations in Northern Aarkodel, retaliation will be immediate and efficient.

Brett Dashington: There have also been reports of units from the Hazardous Warfare Contingent in the border region. As the existence of Hazardous Warfare is a secret, please keep this information very hush-hush and uh...(whispering) you didn't hear this from me.

Jon Archer: We take you now live to Terry Reed in the field where hopefully he's been shot in the face-- I mean able to get an interview. Sorry. Slip of the tongue. I just hate that guy with his creepy smile.

Split Screen: Archer/Reed

Terry Reed: Hi Jon. As you know, Central Authority recently issued the Tridistrict Decree, a document citing several points in the Han Accords, centrally focused on Article XXIII, Section 22, which states clearly that "No nation declared...(At this point anyone watching has lost interest, probably switching over to As The Years Go By, Wyrmsvaar's favorite soap.)

Antonio: Maria!

Maria: Antonio!

Antonio: Ever since the day my father died in that race car accident, I've never been able to love.

Maria: Antonio! All you ever talk about is that race car accident... Why can't you move on? Love me, as I love you.

Antonio: I cannot, for I loved my father, as I would you had he not died.

Maria: But Antonio... do you not recognize me? I am your father!

Antonio: Ewww...

--Colonel Wyrd Tiwek, Briefing for the First Airborne Cavalry--
“Alright troopers, three hours left ‘til deadline and the Viceroys ain’t sayin’ nothin’ so we’re getting’ ready to move in. First target in the city of Hulay in the Qin province. Hulay is basically laid out like a four-pointed star along the intersection of IH 30 and Route 81. The southern “point” contains the Frank Parker Air Force Base. Our goal is to eliminate the Qin Province’s fighter and bomber resources, stationed there. Additionally, spyplane photos indicate a ring of surface to air missile installations surrounds the base. You will be flying to low for these to be effective, however, there is the risk of two anti-aircraft flak cannons along the main runway, as well as shoulder launched weaponry. To ensure the rapid elimination of all personnel, each attack helicopter has been armed with 10 D-41 CDU’s with a sarin payload. As soon as launched, the D-41 will begin to break up and disperse the payload. You are to saturate the air above Frank Parker AFB with the chemical payload, then use conventional armaments to dismantle Qin’s aerial assets. For additional support, we will have two squadrons of our MiG-29’s flying combat air patrol.

While the attack choppers move in on the AFB, the mobile infantry units will assault and take over the remainder of the city. A through D Company will set up road blocks along 30 and 81, E Company will storm the municipal building, F and G Companies will take up positions along the northern edge of the South Point and await any survivors from the attacks there. H Company will take the United Empire Bank building. This will be our first chance to employ the Mc-9 Heavy Carbine, but don’t get too trigger happy with it. Those bullets are eight creds a pop.

To maintain the element of surprise, the attack will commence thirty minutes prior to the deadline.”

Mc-9 Heavy Carbine:
Country of Origin: Wyrmsvaar
Caliber: 8.08 x 34 mm Armor-Piercing Drakon Armaments Special
Weight without Magazine: 4 Kilograms
Overall Length: 600mm
Barrel Length: 550mm
Rate of Fire: 450 rpm with semi-automatic, three round burst, and full automatic capabilities
Magazine Capacity: 25 Rounds
Effective Range: 200 Meters

OOC: Still lookin’ for people to play as the three Imperial Districts… anyone interested… anyone? Hellooooo? ::cricket… cricket…::

To: Municipal governments of Chusuk, Trentberg, Rutherbury Bridge.
From: 18th Forward Division, Hazardous Warfare Contingent
Time: 1855, Deadline -35 minutes.

Advise evacuation of all population from cities of Chusuk, Trentberg, Rutherbury Bridge. If an agreement not reached with your district's Viceroy, HazWar will exterminate any persons remaining in those cities.

End of Line
[/code:1:f979be9c51]

I'll be posting post-deadline occurrences tomorrow.

Semi-OOC: I take it there are no takers on those Districts? Each one is equivalent to a nation of about twenty million with a well-supplied modern military with access to The Han Dynasty's infrasonic weapons. If any of the nations in my region decide to become active again, it's most likely they'll side with the Districts too.

Your opponent, me, although a fairly large nation, can only spare minimal forces to take these three provinces, as I am also involved with protecting the Jiang Dong province in the West from neighboring Romlesta.

The First Airborne Cavalry is a fairly elite unit, well-funded and trained. They maintain a fleet of 144 AH-64A Apache attack helicopters and 40 H-38B Greathawk helicopters for transporting the Cavalry's 400 infantrymen. The Infantry here are divided into 8 Companies of 50 soldiers, which are in turn divided into five-man firesquads:

Squad Leader (usually a Sergeant): Ma-41 Assault Rifle, Backup Comm Equipment
Carabinier: Mc-8 (now Mc-9) Heavy Carbine
Grenadier: Ma-41 Assault Rifle, Ma-41.G Grenade Launcher
Rifleman: Mmg-288 Machine Gun
Scout: Ma-41 Assault Rifle, Comm Equipment and GPS

*Ma-41's are basically AK-47's with snazzier paint and a Wyrmsvaari brandname

The Third, Fourth, and Tenth are fairly green units. The Third and Fourth each contain 15,000 troops, mostly infantry, although they also include 35 "Fenris" Light Tanks, 100 "Skoll" APC's and 250 of the lighter "Hati" APC's. The Tenth includes 10,000 troops with 106 "Ragnarok" Main Battle Tanks and 121 "Fenris" Light Tanks. 22 "Surtur" 130mm Mobile Artillery are also included in the Tenth's rosters. The Infantry soldiers of the Tenth have increased training in stopping armored units, and the Grenadier soldiers use rocket-propelled grenades rather than the standard grenade launcher.

Unfortunately, due to logistical problems, the Tenth will not be able to mobilize until two weeks after the deadline.

Enough numberwanking. I'll be back tomorrow.

OOC: OK... so really, no one cares? No one wants to play as any or all of the Districts? Christ, I could threaten to drop nerve gas on these people and no one would do a damn thing... oh wait... I did threaten to do that. Well, on with this RP. I'll tell the whole damn story by myself if I have to.

Back IC:

Thirty Minutes Prior to Deadline
Final preparations completed, the helicopters of the First Airborne Cavalry come to life, as whirring blades take them to treetop level. Stealth is essential, so they fly fast, low, and in radio silence. Captain Enrik pilots the leading Apache, guiding the Cavalry to Hulay.

Ten Minutes Prior to Deadline
With the Viceroys of Pusay, Qin, and Yun-Mei still silent, the 18th Forward Division of Hazardous Warfare prepares the launch of three missiles primed to detonate over Chusuk, Trentberg, and Rutherbury Bridge.

The First Airborne Cavalry begins to break off into two segments, the Apaches ready their D-41 Chemical Dispersal Rockets as the Frank Parker Memorial Air Force Base appears on the horizon while the Greathawks swoop to the east in preparation to deposit their loads of infantry.

Twenty-four MiG-29's take off from Ustullalah AFB in Northern Aarkodel to begin their Combat Air Patrol missions.

Six Minutes Prior to Deadline
The first D-41's are launched, silently creating deadly clouds of sarin gas over the base which sink to the surface, killing most of the personnel within minutes. Captain Enrik breaks radio silence and orders the remaining attack fleet to dismantle the base's hardware. The surface-to-air installations and flak guns are quickly destroyed before they can be remanned. Planes, however, are left intact for capture and redeployment in the Wyrmsvaari Air Force.

The mobile infantry forces rappel from their Greathawk transports. Traffic on the highways stops at the sight of soldiers dropping out of the sky. The municipal building is quickly stormed. A town council meeting had been in progress, and the Council, Mayor, and several dozen attending citizens are taken prisoner. The United Empire Bank Building is taken, and snipers from H Company take up positions on its roof, from which they command a view of all Hulay.

Two Minutes Prior to Deadline
Three missiles claw into the air from the 18th's launchers.

Four Minutes After Deadline
The first missile detonates over Rutherbury Bridge, releasing a large cloud of VZ nerve agent over the town. Evacuations here have been effective, but some two hundred and thirty-seven people who had decided to remain in the city despite warnings were killed.

Seven Minutes After Deadline
The second missile detonates over the densely-populated center of Chusuk. Unfortunately, HazWar's warnings came too late for an efficient evacuation to take place. Rioting and chaos had broken out. The nerve agent killed 88,481.

Eight Minutes After Deadline
The third missile detonates over Trentberg. Viceroy Mencken is visiting the city, chose to ignore the warning, and was among 21,006 killed in the attack. He will be replaced by his nephew Tumig Mencken.

Ten Minutes After Deadline
Hazardous Warfare Contingent begins selecting three new targets.

Four Hours After Deadline
The First Airborne finishes securing Hulay, and awaits the arrival of a battalion from the Third Infantry Division to reinforce and hold the city. Fighting between the First and local police and surviving military has resulted in twenty dead and fifty-six wounded among the Wyrmsvaari, mostly in F and G Companies. Qin casualties number 37 dead and 96 wounded and taken captive. 200 Qin police surrendered without a fight.

Five Hours After Deadline
The Fourth Infantry Division begins its advance on Yun-Mei.

Due to continued lack of interest, both from my comatose region and the Nation-States at large, I have decided to terminate this RP.

End Results

Qin and Pusay were crushed by Wyrmsvaari advance. The forces of Yun-Mei retreated into the mountainous northern reaches of the IPD and forced the Fourth Infantry into a stalemate. After eight months of fighting, Central Authority authorized the use of chemical weaponry to clear out the region.

The three Viceroys were captured, and the districts were placed under direct Imperial control. The Viceroys have been sold into forced labor at Wyrmsvaar's Virkenzaida (Work-City). Wyrmsvaari forces suffered 891 dead, 9641 wounded, and 27 missing. The three IPDs suffered over 790,000 dead (mostly from nerve gas), 3,400 wounded, with 22,000 persons unaccounted for.

Wyrmsvaar paid 11.9 Billion Credit-Points in damages to the Han Emperor, but received a blessing to annex those territories permanently should further border violations occur there. Additionally, the armies of the deposed Viceroys have been partially disarmed, and their weaponry has been entrusted to Wyrmsvaar for redistribution and sale.

The Mc-9 Heavy Carbine proved quite effective and will be distributed amongst all Wyrmsvaari forces.

So much for that...

Granzi
20-06-2004, 20:13
The Commonwealth officially condemns the action of the nation of Wyrmsvaar. Their inhuman acts of terrorism and unjustified use of WMDs show the ineffectual leadership running the country. Reports of severe human rights violations during the Wyrmsvaar campaign against the Imperial Protectorate Districts are not being taken lightly. Though your cause may be just and your opponents not, by lowering yourself to their level as tarnished your image. We ask that Wyrmsvaar desist from their acts of aggression immediately and withdraw.

Nathanial Sun,
Minister of Foreign Affairs

OOC: I'll RP as Qin if you have no objections. A tip, if you are trying to introduce yourselve onto the world stage, a war RP is not a good course of action. Unfortuantly, most new players Godmod nonstop, so a better course would be to start a diplomatic RP, as in embassy exchanges. Or you could join in an RP already in progress. All in all, this is an excellent start and you could be a very good RPer in the future.

Wyrmsvaar does not now possess::more laughter:: nor previously possessed any nuclear, biological, or ::laughing so hard he can barely read the next word::chemical weapons." ::Pausing briefly to breathe::
