Undersea Mine Established.

5 years ago, the Kanabian Government made a request to the international community for deep sea technology in order to build an underwater resource base. However, no nation had the technology to give us.

The planners were not defeated and resolved to develop the technology ourselves, devoting vast amounts of research power and industry to the task, and utilising plans and designs already in place. The results are now in, as the undersea tungsten mine and small settlement "Poseidon" is today declared fully operational, 600m beneath the surface of the ocean.

The station has a population of 105, and includes an aquaculture and underwater farming system (ie. Hydroponic crop growing). Other supplies are shipped in by a deep sea cargo submarine on a weekly basis, and the tungsten ore is to be shipped out with the same submarine. Already the incoming ore has proven valuable, and is available for export.

A new station, an underwater oil extraction and processing facility, is under construction at a depth of 650m. This station is much larger, and will have a population of 360 people.

We may consider exchanging or selling the technology.

we are Intrigued, and we would like to send down 3 Obersvers on the Next Re-Supply run.

Of course you may.

May we also send observers, but instead of 3 can we send a full team? (team=12)

Well, Be aware that space on the base is limited, and your observers will be there for a week between resupply runs. There are limited spare sleeping quarters, so 12 people isn't really feasible and they will likely end up sleeping in storage rooms and less comfortable locations. However, it's your call.

The oil extraction station "Deephold" is now operational, and specialised Oil transport submarines are making the run. Already the economy is starting to benefit from less reliance upon foreign oil imports.

We also wish to send an observation team to view the mechanics and structure of the mines and settlement.

We'd be interested in buying technology and plans--name your price.

Ghargonia is intrigued. Also concerned. Such new developments must be very prone to attack both by terrorists and certain nations who may want to obtain / destroy the technology...
