The Grand Duchy of Barretta, being new to the area of international affairs, is looking to join an alliance of other nations. We have seen what happens to a country when it has no allies to help defend them, and we do not wish to end up the same way. We are looking for mutual military and economic help in an alliance, and we wish to help stem the tide of communist agression. Any offers will be well-received, regardless of whether or not they are accepted. Thank you.

Gosselania is from a region dominated by two gigantic superpowers. They are both highly militaristic. While we have an uneasy and suspicous peace, we would appreciate an alliance to help defend our nation should the two powers become hostile.

Gosselania has a strong standing army and can pledge military support if needed. We are in the process of expanding our Navy, so we can also protect trade between our nations.

We hope to establish ties with your nation.

The Commonwealth of McQuaide desires to welcome Barretta into the international community. We too are new to the international arena. Although our fundamental ideologies appear different, it appears that both of our nations value highly the rights of our people. For this reason, the Commonwealth of McQuaide Ministry of State has been authorized by the Prime Minister to offer the following as part of a diplomatic exchange program:

1) Exchange of embassy facilities. The government of Barretta will be provided with one of our four-story, spacious and modern embassy facilities in our capital's 'Embassy Row'. These buildings, buit six years ago on the banks of the Liffey river, are equipped with the modern communications and security systems that modern diplomatic missions demand. We will also offer a similar, but smaller, consular facility in our inland industrial and agricultural city of Novy Tiblisi.

2) Nation in Good Standing trade status. Reduced or eliminated tarriffs, extended rights to Barretta corporations within Commonwealth borders.

3) Military non-aggression treaty. This can, upon a period of negotiation, result in a mutual defense pact.

4) Cultural exchange. Citizens of Barretta shall be welcomed in McQuaide universities, hospitals, and other facilities, enjoying the same rights as McQuaide citizens. In case of legal trouble, Barretta citizens can be extradicted to Barretta Courts, on the condition that similar rights be extended in the trial process.

McQuaide: While you are correct that our nations have some political differences, we agree with you when you say that should be put aside. We accept your offers, and give you all of the benfits that you have given us. Your main embassy will be located in the capital city of Prenzlau, and a consul in the industrial center of Mateoburg. Magdha: We are glad to join your alliance, but there is a condition. We cannot gurantee that our nation will fight against Muktar if war occurs. The nation of Barretta is opposed to communism, but we will not attack a country that, as of right now, has good intentions. However, we will fight with you against active communist aggression. We appreciate your offer of iron ore for food, because as a large industrial nation, we have plenty of food to spare, but our artillery production plants are constantly in need of iron ore for new guns.
