A couple (rl) days ago, our beloved Emperor Heinrich I got murdered during a militairy parade. His only son died 3 years ago in a planecrash and the Emperor had no other family who could replace him on the throne. The new government had to find a new Emperor.

Not an easy task; they had to find someone with experience in such area's as politics, military, Diplomacy. Several candidates were selected but in the end only one could 'win'.
The government went through the files of the cadidates and eventually appointed The Archduke of Vermin as Emperor Deinonychus I of Vollmeria.
He is the man behind VB, the ruling party and holds a militairy rank, no other cadidate had such good references.
Deinonychus is a staunch supporter of Capitalism. He refuses to call himself Fascist, Vollmeria has never been part of a ideological 'group' and probably never will be. The new Emperor is also atheist,(religion stands in the way of rational thinking) he hates religion in all its forms.

The Emperor welcomes diplomatic relations with other nations and offers the exchange of embassies

The government of Keyet formally recognizes Vollmeria's new Emperor, Deinonychus I. We wish to express some alarm over certain rumors, namely a hatred of religion. We respect your atheism, the Consul himself is also an atheist, but that belief has nothing to do with hating other religions and we hope that your unique individual views, if indeed the rumors are true, do not cloud your judgement, nor cause undue harrassment to those of a religious nature.

If an individual believes in a certain god, then that is his choice. The Emperor however will not allow individuals to use/practise their religion in public or politics, as "religion stands in the way of rational thinking".

Religion doesn't stand in the way of rational thinking, it is use to compare it with the truth.

Look at muslim fundamentalism! They commit terrorist acts because they dont want 'non-believers' on their ground.
Or Christians with their inquisition, or their unwillingness to recognize such things as euthanasia or abortion.

Without believing in a god, we can think straight, see and understand all sides of the story. It allows us to make a decision that is correct of the people.

Those are fanatics. Anything taken to an extreme can be a bad thing. Also bad people show up in every creed, even atheism. Whether or not you have a belief in a system of mythology, be it muslim, christian, or viking mythology, does not immunize you against lunatics. Atheists can have lunatics and fanatics too, just as religious people can have rational thinkers. In fact, just from the sheer proportion of the religious throughout history, most of our top thinkers have been religious, just look at Albert Einstein.
This difference of oppinion does not come from a difference of belief, as said before the Consul and myself are both atheists. The people of Keyet hope this difference of oppinion will not dampen future relations. We wish the new emperor a long and fruitful life/career.
