Erm...might one argue that monarchies tend to be just as oppressive as dictatorships? Seems dictatorship is just a fancy new word for monarchy. One ruler. Granted there were some benevolent monarchies, just like there may today be a benevolent dictator that crops up every now and then. But to say a monarchy is more free than a communist or fascist state? Doesn't seem right. And you live in a region with Fascist right in the name.

Yeah, I originally wanted to be Fascist, but my views changed... I have to create a new region... But, I meant, and hoped people would understand, a CONSTITUTIONAL monarchy. Like Britan. It just wouldn't fit. Sorry.

One could always argue that democracy is an oppressive government by the majority.

I don't think so. In a true communism, of which there have never been any in the history of the world, since the gov't would be in control of everything, there is no way with a gov't that large that corruption or power-hungriness will not be prevalent. It simply will not work. So, even if some country starts out with good intentions, they will inevitably end up in a terrible mess.

High crime is inevitable with many rights, but it's a price i'm willing to pay.

Actually, crime is lowered by two things: police funding and good education.

I don't want to dump money on socialist education, tell them to get a real job.

That would probably lower civil rights, but may count toward police funding. And they can't get a job without an education, thus they commit crime to make money.
