The RS Redlenin II was moving at a steady pace. An older ship, she was the last of the Redlenin Class ships. This was to be her last trip, and upon arrival back at the Redleningrad Maritime Forces Dock after this exercise, she would be decommisoned and become part of the governments growing military museum.
"Admiral, the fleet is formed. Our ETA is 8 hours at our current speed."
"Understood. You are dismissed." The Admiral replied. Admiral Victor Varade, a 64 years young, Commander of the Redleingrad Maritime staff, was had taken command of the fleet. Very rare was it that the Commander of an element accompined a fleet on such an outing, but that was the type of man Admiral Varde was. He left his room and headed up to the bridge.
Meanwhile, at Redleningrad Forces Base LaSalle, the Redleningrad Highland Regiment in it's entirity, all three battalions, were boarding the Hercules aircraft awaiting them. Nearby, the Artillary and Armoured unit barracks were silent, as they had departed along with the Navy due to the exesive wait carried. The 101st Redleningrad Fighterwing, 650th Transport Squadron and 343rd Rotar Wing Utilitay and Transport was also loading equipment onto the much larger transport aircraft that awaited them. For the next 4 hours, the aircraft departed the base to make the long journey to an unspecified desination to engage in Exercise Esters Chair, an oddly named yet much needed military exercise.
Known only by the higher-ups, Esters Chair would take place on a remote island owned but seldom used by Redleningrad. The island was quite large, and had a naval base used be Redleningrad, as well as landing strips around the island to support the few villages that were there. They were big enough to land large airplanes, but larger airplanes should take caution when landing.
