"Yet another protest against the government of Barokoy resulted in bloodshed today as troops from the 1st Infantry Division fired on a crowd of activists in front of the Ducal Palace in the capital city of San Serif. The protesters had planned to storm the Palace on their bicycles and demand for the resignation and exile of Grand Duke Frederick de Barok. Among those killed were John Poncy Lee, leader of the protest movement. It was the tenth protest rally in the past two weeks..."

"...Lee, one of the most vocal critics of Grand Duke de Barokoy's government was shot earlier today. He had earlier criticized the government of the Grand Duchy of Barokoy for its high tax rates, disregard for human rights and widespread corruption. Lee came to prominence when he formed Freedom Force, a coaltion of non-government organizations opposed to the National Security Act--a controversial law that allowed the police to monitor and apprehend citizens on the slightest suspicion of subversion..."

5:00pm INTERNATIONAL DISPATCH, THE GRAND DUCHY OF BAROKOY

The Grand Duchy is asking for military assistance from the international community in putting down a rebellion that seeks to topple the
legitimate government of our nation.

A small group of malcontents and anarchists have manipulated our people into revolting against their rightful ruler and have decieved elements of
our own armed forces into taking positions that threaten our nation's capital.

We appal to the international community for help in restoring peace and order to our beleaguered nation.

5:00pm INTERNATIONAL DISPATCH, PROVISIONAL PEOPLE'S GOVERNMENT OF BAROKOY

We, the free people of Barokoy, have had enough of the despotic rule of the Barok clan and their cronies, their corrupt ways and their oppressive laws.

The Barokoy People's Liberation Army has encircled the enemy and is poised to strike into the very heart of corruption and claim freedom for our countrymen.
We ask the help of the international community to convince the current government to abdicate and let the people choose their own leaders. Failing that, we welcome
any form of support in our struggle to root out the evil in our nation and gain our freedom and dignity.

Once we have captured the capital, we shall install a truly representative, humainitarian and liberal government such as the people of Barokoy deserve.

Down with the Oppressors!
Long live the Barokoy People's Liberation Army!
Long live the Provisional People's Government of Barokoy!

To the Chancellor of The New Aryan State:

My nation and its currently misguided people graciously accept your offer of military assistance.

You may land your troops at either the San Serif International Airport which is now under guard by the Duke's Own Mech (Inf) Division or the San Serif Seaport held by the loyal 5th Reserve Division and elements of the 'A' Strike Company.

Our intelligence assets are currently working double time to pinpoint the rebel positions and will forward this to you through channels.

Our most sincere gratitude.

The five massive transport ships loomed black against the night sky, blotting out the stars as they docked at the San Serif Seaport.
Protected by a squadron of type 23 destroyers they had made the journey to Barokoy, laden with a total of four thousand SS troopers, four hundred powerful Leopard Main Battle Tanks, and six hundred Armoured Cars.
The first transport lowered it's landing ramps, and sqaud after squad of black-uniformed SS troopers marched from their ship. At their head was Brigadeführer Volstein. Volstein strode toward the Barokoyan garrison commander who waited at the foot of the landing ramp
"Well,"said Volstein, grinning"What seems to be the problem?"

A platoon of the valiant San Serif Bicycle Guards cleared rebels out of the suburban district of San Serif City earlier today after an hour of house to house fighting.

The rebels were spotted sneaking into thesuburbs by Lt. Mike Walsh, a veteran of the Bicycle Guards and the elite squad engaged them at once.
Other rebel teams already in place fired on the Bicycle Guards but were ultimatley overwhelmed.

Twenty enemy bodies were recovered while the Bicycle Guards suffered one casualty, and a bent handlebar.

With the clearing of the suburb area, only one rebel stronghold remains in the city: the radio station held by the so-called Barokoy People's Liberation Army. Ministry of Defense officials expect to make an assault during the day and hint at a major development in the current crisis.

"The problem, Herr Brigadeführer, is that my country seems to have been over-run by peasants, hippies and traitors." the gruff man in jungle fatigues said after the customary salute. "Field Marshall McYap, Commander, Barokoy Defense Force."

Showing Volstein a map marked with symbols and figures, the field marshall indicated rebel positions just outside the city.
"We have rebels camped at the foot of that nearby mountain range and I've been throwing my men at them all day. We've no luck so far. Maybe your tanks will fare better."

"The city itself has been cleared, but the bulk of the rebel force is at that mountain range, and at an outpost 20km from here." he said, indicating a red 'X' on the map.

"You're the hunter, choose your prey. We'll smoke them out for you."
McYap said as he turned to his men, a smart group of battle hardened men clustered around a row of small battle tanks. They were ill-equipped but eager to take the fight to the enemy.

HauptSturmführer Freiche glanced at the viewscreen in front of him. The screen was linked directly to a camera at the front of his Leopard MTB, and Freiche could see four enemy soldiers running from him, one of whom was firing wildly at his vehicle with an AK-47.
He grabbed the intercom.
"Gruber, fire"
His gaze returned to the screen, and Freiche could see the running soldiers again.
At the front of the tank, Gruber opened fire with his weapon, a high-caliber heavy machine gun, and within moments the four rebels were just so much meat.
Tanks are always more effective when used against an enemy who doesn't have them.

The rebel commander watched the NAS troops unload with increasing apprehension. The Leopard battle tanks alone could pound their positions to dust and he had precious few anti-tank weapons on hand. The only other vehicles on Barokoy had after all been government cars and trucks, and bicycles of different types--the military had seen little need for weapons that could destroy tanks.

He called for his radio operator and dictated a message for his communication center:

THE STRUGGLE FOR BAROKOYAN FREEDOM IS BEING THREATENED BY FOREIGN TROOPS. WE APPEAL TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO AID US IN OUR STRUGGLE OR WE SHALL ALL SURELY PERISH.

-BAROKOY PEOPLE'S LIBERATION ARMY

With that done, he ran of to check on his troops.

As a body, those who were left of the 6th Reserve Division, dropped their rifles (proudly locally made) and raised their hands.
Fighting and dying for freedom was alright against troops with the same weapons. Firing AK-47s at battle tanks was neither valiant or especially smart.

Stragglers from the decimated 4th Reserve Division slinked away, hoping to join up with the rest of the rebel army. Or get lost.

Field Marshall McYap surveyed the carnage done by the NAS tanks and vowed that after the revolt was over, he would request for a brigade of them.
He slipped back inside his dinky Simba tank and stayed behind a NAS tank. They were bigger and stronger, after all.

UnterScharführer Rughel strode through the field. It was nearing harvest and the wheat was a golden yellow as far as the eye could see.
The sudden roar of an engine made him turn, Rughel shouted a warning, then fell, his body riddeled with bullets.
The rebel Simba tore through the field, blazing away with it's machine gun.
Two more SS troopers died in as many seconds.

Karl watched as the enemy tank raced through the crops. He waited until it was past him, then stood and aimed his NAS-made Panzerschreck '02, the latest in a long line of reliable, hard-hitting anti-tank weapons.
The laser designator 'painted' a spot on the rear of the tank's turret.
The missile flared into life, spewing smoke from the rear of Karl's weapon, then exploded from the barrel, homing in on it's victim.
The 135mm Armour-Piercing missile ripped through the thin rear armour of the Simba, embedding itself in the tank's magazine.
The tiny computer chip nestled within the circuitry of the missile registered that it had stopped, and sent one final string of code to another chip. The Simba exploded from the inside, it's own shells detonated by the missile. The turret was blown clear of the chassis to land thirty feet away, a smouldering wreck.

Emperor Vladimir Kreschnev hung up the phone in his office in the imperial palace. He looked out over his capital of Generia city. Not long ago he had been in a similar situation as the Barokoy rebels, fighting for his own homeland under the threat of foreign invaders. He was not about to let it happen to another small nation. Perhaps it was their war. Maybe he should just let it be. No, there was already a foreign force there. He had to act, it was his duty as a human being.

"Alice, get me Nikolai," he said to his secretary.

Nikolai Kreschnev, his brother and defense minister of Generia entered the room.

"Nikolai i am afraid we have a situation developing. I want you to mobilize the whole of the military. Keep the reserves on stand by."

"My friends, we come togethor today under unpleasant circumstances. I am sure you have all been briefed on the situation in Balkoy by now, and are aware of the rebel's fight against tyranny, and the subsequent invasion of a foreign power bent on their annihalation. We all know what it is like to be in that position. Up against unspeakable power, fighting for our homeland. Because we know what it is like we cannot allow it to stand. Such is our blessing and curse, friends, for in having been there before we become the guardians to make sure it never happens again. The rebels are outnumbered and holding on against a far superior, trained, and highly equipped force. They will not last without us. That is my reasoning, be it for better or worse. Now we have business to attend to.

Ivan Kukov, foreign minister, i want you to moniter the international situation as it develops and brief me on whatever developments occur. Nikolai, you have already prepared the military?"
"Yes, your majesty."
"Excellent. Dominic, i want you to prepare the studio, i am going to address my people. Pyutur Czencho, head of intelligence, my eyes and ears. Get the intelligence bunker up and running. I want connections ready within twenty minutes, including live satellite feeds. We need to be aware of every last development. Alright, my loyal cabinet, lets get moving, time is not with us."

Imperial Broadcast to Generian people, Emperor Vladimir Kreschnev

Emperor Vladimir Kreschnev stepped upon the stage before an audience of thousands of citizens.

"My brothers, in the past hour I have deployed the largest imperial expeditionary force that this nation has ever had the privilege to send forth. They travel for a distant land, that before today, many of us had never heard of. That nation is Balkoy, and they are in peril. A courageous group of men has stood against their corrupt government, but the odds are far against them. Fortunately, we have heard their cries of help. Generians we have agreed to answer those cries, for we know all too well what it is to be in peril, do we not? Only a few years back, it was we faced our own crisis. Therefore we will give them the aid that we hoped the world would give us those many years ago.

My friends, my brothers, my countrymen, today we go not as an army. Today we go as saviors to a nation ravaged by war and tyranny. We will free these men and women and they will know that it was you, the brave Generian people, who came in answer to my prayers. So, my people, give a cry for the glorious quest we undertake today, that all the land may know who the honorable undertakers of that quest are."

At that point there arose a great cheer from the people assembled that was heard all over the city.

The emperor stepped down, knowing that he had his people's support.

Greetings.

It has long been brought into our attention that your country is experiencing an armed uprising. Our intelligence reports indicate an escalating conflict involving outside nations, which further complicates the matter at hand.

As the Duke of Barokoy has long been a regional comrade in ensuring that Law and Order are paramount in our respective nations, and since our nations share a mutual aquatic border, it is in our best interest to ensure that the rebellion does not succeed. Hence, I, Raymz Marlocke the 23rd, President of Raymzonia, hereby commit 470 million ray-rays worth of arms, materiel, and supplies to the soldiers fighting for the loyalist cause.

I also commit the 41st Air Squadron, for precision airstrikes and drops, and elements of the elite Raymzonian Templar for intelligence and internal policing assignments.

Rest assured, any malcontents delivered into their hands will cease to be a problem.

I regret I could not be of any more assistance, but the state of your nation has sent dissension through my own country and I am thus prevented from giving more.

May Law and Order once again Rule.

To: His Imperial Majesty of the Generic Empire

From: El Presidente Raymz Marlocke the 23rd through Lord Sebastian Dorco, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Greetings.

This communique is an appeal for sobriety in the upcoming conflict. While your resolve is admirable, I urge you to to take the following points into consideration:

•A large expeditionary force will only serve to escalate the conflict further, causing more damage to the nation you wish to aid, and causing more casualties upon all sides involved.

•Mw own intelligence reports (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=Generic%20empire) indicate that your own nation has problems of its own, and your local support is not as solid as you would have the rest of the international community believe. A large-scale war would only exacerbate the interior problems in your nation. Being fresh out of a recent internal conflict of your own, we request that you reconsider your recent actions.

•Failing to belabor a point, your own crusade against tyranny shuld be aimed at rooting out the tyranny in the ranks of your own government, before spending a substantial amount of your economy on a moral crusade in foreign shores.

•And finally, it would be a pity if certain elements within your not-quite-stable government were given incentives to begin troubles of their own. No throne is ever safe, not even an imperial one. The Emperor, in light of recent events, should know this quite well.

While we give no ultimatums, we wish to point out these facts before this conflict escalates further.

The albino leaned back into his chair, settling deep into the upholstery. He steepled his fingers. "Report."

The men assembled before him saluted with their fists to their chests, and the one in front, resplendent in medals, said, "El Presidente, the MiGs are prepped and ready for strikes. All we need are primary and secondary target designations, anywhere within the closer half of Barokoy. The DCs are loaded with weapons and ammunition and medical supplies, ready for the signal from the Duke."

"I will be in touch with him shortly. Put the local military and the templar on high alert also." The albino shifted his gaze to the mousy little man beside the lord-general. The president said, "And reports on the Generians?"

The Minister of Foreign Affairs sniffed, mousily. "They are prepared to throw everything they have into Barokoy. I think their altruism has overridden common sense, El Presidente. They have left a skeleton crew for internal security and police. Not a good idea, with their crime rampant and their populace not quite in full support of the war. The labor unions are grumbling, cutting into his production, and this war will stretch his factories and workers to their limits. Being an absurdly consumerist state, this could ground their entire economy to a halt, with a little help from our agents. Most importantly, they have not quite recovered from their recent civil wars and insurrections. Intelligence from the High Lord Templar concurs. There are quite a few elements in their country that would like nothing more than to see the imperial thone toppled once again. This leaves them very vulnerable to internal problems. We could even stir the pot, a little..."

The president raised a hand. "No. It will suffice to let them know that we know. If they wish to pursue this course of action, they will find that all their fighting for freedom will cause the downfall of their new government. Be prepared," he said to the Head of Intelligence, the High Lord-Templar. The silent, well-manicured man smiled and nodded.

"In the meantime, we will make no action that will provoke conflict. A show of force may be all that is necessary. I see no reason to spend lives and materiel on a war that could have been avoided if the Duke had not been a bit more, shall we say, discreet with his efforts." He motioned them all out of the throne room, and turned to the screens monitoring the affairs for his state and neighbors.

General Josef Tayonovich stood on the deck of the enormous troop transport traversing the sea on its way to Barokoy. It had been a long few days. He had been surprised to hear the news that it was he who would be trusted with the command of the expeditionary force. Then again it was not that surprising. He was one of the few true "military men" in the nation, as opposed to the numerous minute-men and urban militias who provided much of the armed forces. By no means were these men any less effective in their duties. They were, after all, Generians, a name that had become synonymous with violence and ferocity in combat over the years of civil wars and foreign invasions.

The true military man, however, had his advantage in experience and training. Tayonovich had been in the service since he was fifteen years old (he had lied about his age saying he was eighteen at the time). He had had active combat in everything from the conception war, when the Empire was born, to the first great civil war, when he had fought against Pyutur Czencho alongside Buchorian forces. He had not seen active duty in the first war because command of Port Belgrade's defenses had gone to General Mustafa, a younger man and a bit of a live wire in Josef's oppinion. this was fortunate for Tayonovich, though, in that every last one of the Port Belgrade force had perished in a bloody battle with the Muktaris, including Mustafa. If anything, Tayonovich was lucky in this.
Fortune favored him on many other occasions as well. He had managed to survive an attack from a bengal tiger that had leapt its cage when he was 12 years old. He still had the faint scar below his left eye. In the great civil war he had left a building to deliver a message from a superior seconds before it exploded in flame after being hit with a hellfire missile. Yes, he was lucky, very lucky. He sincerely hoped that this would hold true.

He strolled to the bow of the vessel and looked out over the fleet. The ships numbered in the thousands. This was indeed the largest expeditionary force had ever sent out. It was also the first. Generia had never sent an army to another nation, being too concerned with its own internal affairs. Josef thought about the situation. Was it really their war? He dismissed the idea. After all it was not his duty. He was not concerned with politics. He was a soldier. Just a soldier, and a damn good one at that. But this emperor, Vladimir Kreschnev, he was young. Much younger than Josef at least. Tayonovich was fifty-seven years old, Vladir was a mere fourty two, and perhaps a bit...idealistic. Either way, Josef thought. Tayonovich loved his country and would do whatever the emperor needed him to do, even if Kreschnev was wrong.

Tayonovich returned to the vessel's stern and surveyed the horizon. There it was, just a tiny shimmer of a coast right on the horizon line. That was where it was going to happen, whatever "it" would be. Tayonovich would send his men to fight and, possibly, to die in battle with an enemy whom he knew little about. He didnt care. It was better that way.

"Make it easier to kill them if you dont know their face," he thought.

He went back to his quarters to get some food and maybe some sleep, because god knew when he'd get that opportunity again. He would be "there" in one day.

The mousy Lord-Minister looked at the High Lord Templar. "He will not be happy about this," he said.

The Templar merely nodded. He read the responding communique onscreen once again and rapidly began to mentally outline the countless possible scenarios springing from the Generian response. Plans of plans of plans.

The Templar Operations Center control room was lit by hundreds of screens, each screen manned by a templar, and each of those with a staff of acolytes. The daily toil of securing the land and ensuring Law Above All never ceased.

Despite the bustle in the room there was a hush, as in a church. A technician handed the Lord Templar a printout. Incoming weapons, troops, possible deployment points for the invaders.

The outlook didn't look good. Perhaps they would win, perhaps not. The only thing certain was that the cost of this war would be enormous, for everyone involved.

"Get me the President," he murmured to his aide.

Imperial Communique to President Raymz Marlocke 23rd, Raymzonia

How dare you threaten the stability of my nation. To even consider inciting a rebellion disgusts me, you fascist dog. I know for a fact that my people are behind me in this war, and they have been since the day i was appointed, BY MY PEOPLE. I demand that these threats cease at once. This conflict is between our forces and Balkoy. Good day Mr. President.
-Emperor Vladimir Kreschnev

To The Emeror of Generia:

Greetings.

The President would like to apologize if the considerations we put forth appeared to be threats. Needless to say, you won't be hearing anything of the sort in the near future, from this office or any office affiliated with it.

We regret that it had come to this. We will keep our involvement in this war to a minimum, to minimize the destruction in Borokoy, but should your expeditionary force impinge upon our own borders and sovereignity, we are prepared to rataliate. Of course, this is not a threat. It is a warning.

-------------------------------o0o-------------------------------

The President, chewing contemplatively on the carpaccio, gave the order.
The assigned Templars and Dominion Rangers boarded the DCs prepped for Barokoy. The Migs, prepped and tested, had technicians swarming around them like so many ants. Finally, the High Lord Templar sent two heavily-coded satellite communiques, one to his neighboring nation, the other to distant Generia.

Marlocke did not wish to involve himself in the affairs of other states, especially in this manner, but he would strike, and strike hard and true, should any threat to his country and his power appear.

This conflict was getting way out of hand. The balance of power in the region had shifted, dangerously. The outsiders had disturbed the delicate ebb and flow of power, and much blood would be spilled before any semblance of order would return.

It was two in the morning.

They were ready to strike, if it came to that.

OOC: not trying to grief here, Generia, but could you please explain the logistics of a THOUSAND vessels being launched to a distant country, leaving a huge supply line trailing behind it, from a country that just experienced a major armed uprising? Exactly how much men and materiel are you throwing into the ring?

I mean, since we're roleplaying here, we might as well be consistent. Your popular support can't be THAT solid, with your recent war, and your economy (and factories) can't pump out a war machine, especially an expeditionary one, that big and that fast without severe domestic consequences. And your people, "realistically" speaking, can't be THAT enthusiastic about sending almost your ENTIRE armed forces to a country they never even heard of.

And, uh, the country in question is BAROKOY.

((OOC to Raymzonia primarily, and anyone else:
The civil war strengthened only strengthened the support for Emperor Kreschnev, as we defeated the invaders. The first civil war, if that is what you speak of, was a while ago, and involved separate events. The most recent war was not an uprising, but a war against ONE group of separatists that the majority of the Generian people did not support. This lead to conflict with foreign powers who were repulsed causing support for the emperor to grow wildly. At this point in time the Generian people will follow Kreschnev to the gates of hell if need be, because of his success in that war. Generia is quite nationalistic and fervently patriotic and now that they have a strong emperor they trust his leadership fully. So yes, support is "THAT" solid.

As for the economy, if you've read about my nation, we have a very strong economy and much of our resources go to defense. The Generian people were able to turn out a large war machine, because they have built their military on mainly civilian-soldiers who can be ready to go anywhere within days. Again, its simply a product of my nation's history of militias that had to be raised to combat internal affairs over the years. Im really not godmoding here, if that's what you mean. I hate it when people do that and i would not think of doing it myself. Everything really does have a logical reason behind it if you think about it and consider my nation and its history.

And im sorry about misspelling Barokoy. It was late. Forgive me.))

OOC: Generia, that's fine, then. Still, the thousand ship fleet isn't really feasible for a nation of 20 million. Unless you're talking a huge armada of dinky corsairs and corvettes, in which case you'll have to have a huge fuel supply line stretching behind you, those ships not being long-range. Ot triremes. heh.

The US, with arguably the most powerful navy in the world, a population of 293 million, and the strongest economy on the planet, only has about *300* listed ships.

The total number of ships involved in the ENTIRE of World War 2 was only almost four thousand. That's Germany, Japan, Italy, France, Britain, the USSR, and the US put together.

I'm not accusing you of godmodding, since you have an okay backup story to the domestic situation, i just think you need to roleplay the logistics of a war (especially a major conflict) more accurately, is all.

Second Lieutenant Gregory Byrne slowly brushed the foliage obscuring his vision and looked through the binoculars. The lay of the land was much like home, the vegetation dense, the ubiquituous hills rocky, the mountain passes narrow and fraught with landslides. He grinned, wolfishly. Ranger territory.

He and his unit had trained, hunted, and killed in terrain like this, for years. He stroked the sniper rifle beside him, lovingly.

The Templar Acolyte, commander of this platoon, stood up from beside him and told the men to prep their weapons. In a few hours, the invader would land. He ordered them to move up to pre-engagement positions.

There were a little over a hundred of them scattered on the island foliage, transported there overnight in little black landing craft two nights ago and fielded in strategic jungle areas. They had used that time to plan, set traps, and savor the coming carnage. They were not to directly engage the enemy. They were to scout, harrass, disrupt enemy ranks and chain of command, and destroy targets of opportunity. A dozen times over they could have killed the few straggling rebel bands in these jungles, but their orders were to hide, maintain positions, hold their fire, and report enemy movements to elements of the allied NAS combat intelligence arm. At least until the order to engage arrived.

The group of nine men packed their explosives, mortars, anti-armor weapons and sniper rifles onto their ATVs and drove off, the sounds of their engines muffled by the sounds of the jungle. Behind them they left a dozen pitfalls, spiked mancatchers that killed, or at least crippled.

Orders were orders. The time to kill would come, and not soon enough.

On board the Barokoy Coast Guard patrol ship <i>Nueve de Ocho</i>, Chief Petty Officer Clyde Barker watched the horizon and his radar consoles at roughly the same time. A wave of nausea hit him, brought on by both fear at the prospect of facing the enemy and the effort of watching two things at once.

The intelligence reports from their NAS allies had said to expect a fleet of Generian ships coming to aid the rebel forces in the Cathedral mountains. He did not want to consider what an entire fleet would do to his tiny cutter.

The small Barokoy Coast Guard had only ten cutters and twenty patrol boats that were really nothing more than radars and machineguns mounted on pleasure craft. He did not feel particularly brave despite the Grand Duke's pronouncement that the entire Barokoyan people and the military might of the New Aryan States was behind him and his ship. He would much rather have had them in front of him.

"...has come to a standstill as the world watches the tiny island nation of Barokoy's struggle with itself.

With the loyalist forces of the Grand Duke trapped in the besieged city of San Serif, surrounded by at least a division of rebel soldiers, the end seemed near for the thirty year reign of the Barok clan.
The entry of the New Aryan States into the conflict turned the tide for the beleaguered government forces. Field MArshall McYap and his loyalist troops, assisted by NAS tanks and troops decimated a large part of the rebel forces and sent them running into the Cathedral mountains.

With the rebellion pretty much over, the Generic Empire announced it's entry ino the fray--on the side of the rebels. Citing a moral responsibility to aid the cause of freedom claimed by the Barokoy People's Liberation Army and its provisional government, the Empire has vowed to send troops to assist the rebels in their struggle...."

The small squad of guerillas slid stealthily into place.
The leader checked his equipment again, and kept an eye on the main gate of the Ducal Palace. It was heavily guarded, the gate barred by a pair of Simba tanks and a platoon of loyalist soldiers that had taken up defensive positions around it.
They had to find another way in. This meant at least another hour of dodging patrols and sticking to the shadows but he knew he had to do it.
The latest offensives by the NAS and Barokoy Defense Force had deimated their ranks and they needed a better solution than plinking away at battletanks.
With hand signals, he ordered his men to melt into the darkness.
They had to find a way into the Palace and assasinate the Grand Duke soon, it was almost dawn and with the sun, they would lose their most powerful weapon--the cover of darkness.

Checking his weapon again, he hoped that the team sent to kill off the NAS higher echelon would have better luck at finding an opening.

General Josef Tayonovich stood on the deck of the large transport facing the host of soldiers that had gathered to listen to him speak. All throughout the fleet men stood on the decks listening to his voice being blasted through ship speaker systems. The Barokoyan shore lay so close to the ships and yet seemed so very distant.
"My brothers, as you know today is a great day for Generia. Today we shall undertake a great and perilous quest to rid this nation of tyranny," he said gesturing towards the shore.
"Today and the coming days will test your mettle as soldiers, as brothers, as Generians and as men. Today we will enter a world that is not our own and we will do battle with its inhabitants. We will take freedom from the oppressors and give it to the oppressed. We come to this land, this morning, as saviors. We come as an angelic host bound on freeing the world from corruption. Brothers today is your day. You alone can bring victory and freedom to an oppressed people. If you perish than only paradise may await you. Paradise where the sun always shines on your faces and the old soldiers laugh and joke with each other about old wars. Paradise where each man gets 72 virgins!"
The men laughed.
"Does this not please you? Now come brothers go forth and do what our ancestors taught us to do. Go forth into peril and come out the other end, and never forget who you are fighting for. For Generia, brothers, for God!"

The men cheered and began to sing the great Generian national anthem. After this was through, they charged into the landing craft and made their way towards that dangerous shore.

The landing craft hit the beach and the men stormed out, and scattered to secure the quiet beach. When this was done the men assembled into their phalanxes under their commanders and prepared to move. They all bore the emblem of the Generian Imperial Cross on their uniforms. The armor was offloaded and readied. Soldiers loaded into the armored personnel carriers. The vehicles and the foot soldiers started on their long trek to the Cathedral Mountains to aid the rebel forces. One unit remained behind for now though. These men, at first glance, were different from the others though. These men were enormous, dwarfing the other Generian soldiers, with their bulging frames. They wore a fancier version of the Imperial Cross with the letters GIPG beneath the emblem. These men were the Generian Imperial Praetorian Guard, some of the most feared warriors on the face of the planet. They seemed shrouded in permanent shadow and when one approached a cold sweat drenched the face of the unfortunate soul who stood before them. They were the emperor's personal soldiers and had been trained since birth for this duty. Together this unit had killed more people than the entire Generian armed forces. They bled and sweated death.

On the beachhead a command post was quickly prepared and General Tayonovich walked into his operations center. Captain Mikhail Gragne, commander of his majesty's praetorian guard, entered the tent and approached Tayonovich. Tayonovich turned to face him. Josef Tayonovich was one of the few men who felt no fear when confronted by these monsters.
"Why have we been delayed? the man asked."
"You are to be assigned separate duties later, but for now you have been assigned to defend the beachhead, replied Tayonovich."
What!? We are supposed to be here to kill foreigners, not defend your little outpost! the man roared."
I have my orders and you have yours "Captain." Now do as I ask and we wont have trouble. You will be deployed later in this campaign. Be patient."
Captain Gragne growled and stalked out of the tent.

Volstein walked to his bedside table and picked up the phone. Dead. The assassin, or possibly assassins, had cut the line.
He returned to the body and took the SMG that lay beside it. Going through the pockets of the corpse revealed three clips for the gun.
Volstein returned to his bed and sat with his back against the head, and his gun pointed at the door. They might try again, and it paid to be careful.

Sirens wailed aboard the GIS Alberia, the fleet's largest carrier. Three ships had been sighted approaching quickly. Pilots scrambled over the deck to their waiting aircraft, American F-15s and 16s in contrast to the other equipment which was mostly Russian made. The aircraft rocketed into the sky and headed towards the approaching vessels. They fired several air to surface missiles which found their marks in the hulls. No matter how swift these vessels were they could not outrun a rocket. Throughout the rest of the fleet the men watched to see if more ordinance would be needed.

Major Vladek Greschenko looked out from the cockpit of his aircraft and watched the explosion as the missiles he had just fired hit their mark. He radioed in to the admiral on the bridge of his carrier reporting the missions apparent success.

It was the Raymzonian brand of warfare.

From beneath the Barokoyan Sea, near the Raymzonian Aquatic Border, twelve pairs of white froth streamed towards the Generian Fleet. They made curving paths toward their targets, tracking each with enerring and fatal accuracy.

Two hundred yards below, twelve captains held their stopwatches, counting down to impact even as the Seawolf-class attack submarines retreated, moving back to the border and down, deeper into the depths.

Each of the submarines's Ops officers monitored the 24 ADCAPs's progress. "Ten to impact... five. Four. Three. Two. One. Impact."

A massive, muffled WHOOMP echoed in the depths, chasing the retreating ships. Behind them they left huge frothing masses, sonar decoys for any unlikely torpedoes or charges that could be fired their way.

Above, the effect was much more spectacular. The fleet's largest carrier was severely damaged, the hull torn wide below the waterline by a proximity detonation. Four more aircraft carriers listed heavily to the side, sinking slowly, streaming pilots, lifeboats, and sailors overboard. With them went AEGIS destroyers, missile platforms, and a destroyer that inadvertently saved one carrier by wandering into the path of the torpedo.

It was a huge chunk out of the Generian expeditionary air and anti-air assets, a leveling of the playing field for the defenders of Barokoy.

They couldn't do anything about the landed army, but would ensure that the landing forces would get no support.

---o0o----

Elsewhere, the presence of the Rangers began to be felt. Here and there landslides erupted in the mountain passes, once burying a full two dozen men. Mortar attacks erupted at night, destroying parts of supply lines and causing injuries, with the attackers vanishing quickly into the safety of the familiar jungle.

Generian Reconnaisance teams reported casualties from traps in the deep jungles, the foliage hiding a tripped grenade here, a claymore there. Two of those teams didn't report back at all.

In one night, seven sargeants, three lieutenants, and a lieutenant colonel fell, from sniper fire. Two of the snipers were caught. Before they could be interrogated, they bit off their tongues while imprisoned and drowned in their own blood.

It was a game of David and Goliath, hounds nipping at a boar. The damage dealt was not heavy, but it if unchecked, would take its eventual toll. It slowed the enemy, at least. It would give the NAS and Barokoyan loyalists enough time to take positions.

And the few rebels who stayed in the jungles died quickly, cut down by men who had been hunting and killing other men in this terrain for years.

---o0o---

The President's face, awash in the glow of his monitors, creased into a frown. This would require a delicate balance. Unlike the Generians, he was loathe to commit everything he had into a conflict. He preferred to sit back and watch, and wait for a moment to strike. In the meantime, eighty percent of the Armed Forces had taken up defensive positions on his archipelago.

If the Generians made the mistake of entering the core of his strength, he would make that nation an empire of widows and orphans, fleet or no.

Admiral Georg Vratek watched the white foam streaking towards his ship. He yelled for the men on the bridge to get down but it was too late. The missiles struck with deadly accuracy. The Admiral was hurled through the window of the elevated bridge onto the flight deck. He landed directly on an exposed pipe and was killed instantly. Much of the crew of the carrier was slaughtered as well, including several top officers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the floor of the bridge control room Vice Admiral Ivan Vlachko recovered consciousness. The blur before his eyes began to fade and he could see hazy figures and hear muffled sounds. Breschnev struggled to his feet and surveyed the scene. A shockwave had sent secondary explosions rocketing through the carrier and the bridge had been shredded by the force. Ivan looked down at his legs and felt the rest of his body to make sure there were no serious injuries. Against all odds he had somehow managed to pull through in one piece. At the last minute he had heard the admiral yell to take cover and had been able to throw himself under some sturdy equipment.

Breschnev walked around the room and surveyed the carnage.
Everyone else was dead or dying on the bridge except for one man. A Generian government representative by the name Mikhail Edemskoi. Ivan pulled the man to his feet and walked out into the hallway. The two men found the stairwell amid the smoke and hurried down to the emergency deck directly below the flight deck. Most of the life boats were still there as the majority of the crew had perished in the mangled belly of the vessel. Ivan and Mikhail launched the boat as effectively as they could with only the two of them. This task was facilitated by the fact that the ship was listing horribly to her right side. The small boat made a course towards the fleet's largest surviving destroyer.

When the men boarded the destroyer the scene was chaos. All over men were being pulled from the sea. Vice Admiral Vlachko made his way to the bridge of the vessel to speak top the commanding officer there.

Captain Kobach Nevinskii met him on the bridge.
"What is our situation here Captain? asked Vladko."
"We are not in good shape my friend," The Captain replied. "We have lost many of our capital ships. 4 aircraft carriers are reported complete loss. 2 AEGIS destroyers, 1 missile platform, and 1 destroyer all told, sir. I do believe that the Alberia can be salvaged if we have her towed, but for now she is out of action. All aircraft aboard were consumed by secondary explosions. 18 men including yourself and this man survived the attack on your carrier. More are still coming in from the rest of the victims. Because of the death of Admiral Vratek, sir, i believe you are in command." Vlachko looked surprised for a moment, but quickly regained his composure.
"Very well. I believe our first priority is to rescue as many survivors as possible. How many carriers do we still have online?"
"4 sir. 1 badly damaged though, but she can still utilize at least part of her flight deck."
"Excellent. The time is coming for revenge, my friend. I want the men to lick their wounds, but be prepared. Soon we will make them pay for this. His majesty's vessels shall not suffer to be attacked with impunity."
"Very well sir. I will send the word out. But may i first suggest some dry clothes before you exact your "bloody vengeance." The men chuckled and Vlachko retired to put on a clean uniform.

300 men anti-sniper hunter-killers (you'll meet these guys soon enough)

Armor:

1st Tank brigade
300 TS-90 tanks
150 support vehicles
100 anti-aircraft ZSU vehicles
3,000 men

2nd Imperial Tank Brigade
same as above

3rd Imperial Tank Brigade
same as above

Imperial Paetorian Guard (the best of the best)
500 men all told
standard infantry trained to perfection but capable of any battlefield necessity. Are primarily used separate from other units or for protecting the Imperial compound

Militias (The bulk of the army):
1st Generian Imperial Urban Militia, Generia City
100,000 Standard Assault Infantry
Untrained Grunts and cannon fodder, but still effective in numbers

2nd Generian Imperial Urban Militia, Generia City,
same as above

3rd Generian Imperial Urban Militia, Eastern Provinces
same as above

Supply and support units:
53,500 dispersed throughout different units not including armored divisions who have separate crews for these duties.

Naval forces operate autonomously from these numbers. Fleet is approximately 200 ships and a carrier based air force. This Includes supply, which makes up the bulk of these numbers.

Does this seem reasonable? If it is too large or small I can accomodate to make for a better RP. Also, tell me if my arithmetic is incorrect in any circumstances.))

OOC: Seems a lot. But hey, it's your army.

IC:
With the NAS pursuing them through the Cathedral mountains, the bedraggled band of rebels soon found it easier to surrender than to trudge through dense jungles and rocky mountain passes. With merely two hundred of them left, Barokoy's bid at a new government seemed pretty much over.

In his mountain hideout, one of the leaders of a group of rebels that had escaped the massacre watched the Generian ships through grimy binoculars.
Perhaps it wasn't over just yet.
--

Miles away, Field Marshall McYap did the same thing.
He wondered how his nation would recover from this conflict.
The battle-hardened soldier had been keeping a secret the past few days., a secret that could pretty much spell the end for the government he was serving. The assasination attempt on the Grand Duke had been intercepted--but not in time. One of the rebel assassins had been able to fire off a few snap shots that had hit the Grand Duke in the chest.
While he was still alive--just barely, kept alive by respirators--rumors had filtered down to the many lords and ladies of the Grand Duchy. The usual scheming and politicking had set in within a day and he now had two enemies to watch out for: the Generia-supported rebels and any one of the potentially treasonous gentry of Barokoy.

Deployed in Barokoy are:

•118 Raymzonian Rangers and Special Ops Forces (semi-mech)

Back on the Dominion Archipelago, on high alert, are:

•600 thousand Raymzonian Regulars, can be boosted to double this size with conscription (and it has, at this point)
•Nine armored Divisions, composed mostly of T-90 Medium Battle Tanks
•2 thousand Dominion Rangers, semi-mechanized
•8 thousand other special ops units (HALO, Black Ops, etc.)
•Five Dominion Air Wings, composed of a little over 400 strike fighters, interceptors, and 200 more assorted mission craft.
•26 thousand Templar
•The Dominion Fleet, composed of 18 Seawolf Class Attack Submarines, 2 Virgina-class submarines, and 1 Typhoon Class Submarine (nuclear). Also Four aircraft carriers, 67 cruisers (assorted), 182 destroyers, and 528 assorted other vessels (we ARE an archipelago, after all)

General Tayonovich stood in his command tent on the beach. His face slowly clenched in rage.

"WHY!?" he raged as he slammed his fists on the table. The other men in the tent turned, startled by the outburst.

"Get back to work you useless pigs!" Screamed the General. The men sheepishly returned to their duties. Tayonovich's aid spoke calmly to him.

"General calm yourself. This is not the end. Relax friend all is not lost."
Tayonovich did his best to calm himself and turned to the aid.

"Why could they not have held out for only a few more hours?" He asked despairingly.

"The enemy was at their gates, sir. Their families were being massacred."

"The sick bastards. Sick bastards all of 'em. Killing women and children. I don't know about anyone else here," he said turning to face the others in the tents, "But i don't like this at all, and personally i'm not leaving cuz a bunch of these guys up and surrendered. So who's gonna stay?"

The others in the command post nodded to the general and uttered muffled "Aye"s

"Excellent. Georgie, where are the enemy soldiers heading?"

"Latest sattelite reports have them on the road to Pozze Negro, sir."

"Then thats exactly where we're goin. Where's our army?"

"1 kilometer from the Cathedral mountains, sir."

"How soon can they be at Pozze Negro?"

"About an hour at their current pace."

"Good. Redirect them. We're gonna bring this home."

"Immediately sir," replied the aid.

General Tayonovich called Captain Mikhail Gragne into his tent.

"Captain, I think you're finally gonna get your opportunity to kill some NAS and Barokoyans," said the General. Gragne's face lit up immediately.

"Where will you have us go, sir?"

"I want you to take your men up to Pozzo Negro. You are to turn that city into a smoldering crater and a lake of blood. For every rebel killed kill ten of the inhabitants."

"Yes, sir," replied Gragne eagerly. The man left the tent to ready his men. In 12 minutes they were on their way.

The barakoyans, through their massacre, had brought upon themselves all the wrath of the divine, and the furies of hell were on their way to their doorstep.

Moving stealthily through the fields, Carlo Marquez and the remnants of his 3rd Revolutionary Brigade were marching double time for the town of Pozzo Negro. His scouts had reported NAS forces moving towards the small town and there were also reports that the Generian soldiers were en route to Pozzo Negro as well.

Scattering themselves along the road to Pozzo Negro, the 3rd Revolutionary Brigade readied foxholes and machine gun nests.
With their knowledge of local terrain, they had been able to make themselves virtually invisible. Which was just as well since they were seriously outgunned and outmanned. This fight would be between the NAS, with a few elements of the Barokoy Defense Force, and the Generian forces.
He would try to make contact with the Generian commander when the battle was won, they didn't have much to offer the Generians anyway.

21-06-2004, 06:06
The conflict was steeped deeper in blood with each passing day.

Reports from the Templar network stationed on Barokoy began to arrive, detailing civilian massacres at the hand of soldiers. The Generian forces, roused to savage fury, began to stop differentiating between rebel and civilian.

The Rangers had not been doing well, as of late. More and more of their attacks had been successfully repelled by the increasingly alert enemy forces. They had already suffered thirty percent casualties. The problem with surprise attacks was that, when used again and again over long periods of time, it became less and less effective. They had been ordered to stand down and concentrate on preventing any link-ups between the rebels and the Generians. They had been largely successful so far, once even disrupting a meeting by blowing up a convoy of officers, and placing blame on the rebels. The freedom fighters were quickly cut down by Generian infantry and armor gunfire.

The Eighth Widowers were doing much better. Over the past few days they had successfully conducted airstrikes and bomb runs on enemy supply lines and armor, taking a growing toll on the advancing army.

But it was the Generian actions that might have changed the outcome of this war.

"So much for their vaunted morals," sniffed the Lord Minister of Foreign Affairs, as he submitted the figures to the President. The albino only waved him out of the Room of Thrones.

He bent over the datapad as the Minister left.

This was an unexpected development, but not an entirely unpleasant one.
The true face of the Generian military had shone through. As suspected, the "liberation" was only a facade for an all-out invasion. In a few more days, when the evidence was overwhelming, he would strike again, his second major attack on the Generians since the war began.

The Fleet was ready.

So was the Wing.

He would pick and choose, depending on theevents for the next few days. When the time came, the Dominion would once again deal a deadly blow.

Tayonovich's Imperial forces converged on Pozzo Negro. The whitewashed walls glimmered alabaster in the late afternoon sun. The soldiers grinned with anticipation. They would avenge the rebels and leave that shining city ablaze. They had been given permission to slaughter everyone, women and children included, inside the ville. It was going to be a bloodbath.

Captain Gragne signalled to his men hidden perfectly in the tall grass outside of the city. He motioned for them to move forward. His radio crackled and Tayonovich gave the order for the entire army to move in. Suddenly out of the grass rose thousands of soldiers fronted by the Praetorians. Wordlessly the men broke into a trot. They ran faster and faster until they reached an all out sprint.

The Praetorians reached the outside of the town and spread out through the streets breaking into houses. The others followed suit. Gragne drew a machete from a scabbard on his back. He kicked open a door. Inside he spied a family. A young man held a shotgun. The soldier behind Gragne fired and left a gaping hole in the man's chest. Gragne's eyes glared with battle rage. He hacked left and right until nothing was left. The screams faded and started up elsewhere in the town. Gragne ran back out into the street. He roared and charged among the sea of Imperial soldiers.

Gunfire rattled across the town. Women ran into the streets screaming and were mowed down by Imperial soldiers. The men took explosives and gasoline and began to raze the town. In no time the city was ablaze.

There was a period of silence.
"Request granted, Task Force, Two Hundred ME204B's given authorisation to fly. Do you have a target?"

"This is Red One, Pick your targets, gentlemen"
-------------------------
Brigadeführer Volstein saw the lights of the fighters in the east sky, watched them circle the island, and smiled to himself as they dived to attack. Missiles launched from the planes rocketed into the Generian encampment, their high-explosive warheads detonating as they hit the ground. Huge pillars of flame billowed into the night, making it bright as day.
Two hundred fighters each launched all six of their missiles into the Generians, with only sporadic fire coming from the few anti-air trucks that were left. Most had been destroyed, as they were one of the first targets to be hit.
Once the missiles had all been used, a few experienced (And headstrong) pilots began strafing the camp, blasting away with their underslung anti-vehicle cannons, before rejoining the others and returning to base.
-------------------------
The city of Pozze Negro burned to the ground. Nothing was left save ash, bricks, and scorched bone. Sturmbannführer Albrechts, the highest-ranking officer still breathing, watched the ruins of Ponzze Negro through his binoculars. He could see Generian troops sifting through the rubble with bayonets.
"They're still there" he said.
His second-in command, HauptSturmführer Goering, gave a sigh.
"I still can't believe they knew we were there"
"Believe it. It happened and we cannot change it, we can only keep fighting"
"Don't you ever get tired of fighting? We are under-strength and with no hope of rescue. We should give up!"
Albrechts turned on the disgruntled officer and grabbed him by the lapels of his jacket, "And what then, you little shit? We rot in a Generian prison for the rest of our lives? I would rather die fighting for survival than have never tried. Any more talk like that from you and I'll fragging well kill you myself!" he threw Goering to the ground.
Albrechts and a few officers were able to maintain order during the Generian attack and thus salvage a little over half the SS troopers in the town, but now they were stranded from the main part of their forces, with few supplies, some of the men had lost their rifles, and some were wounded.
It was only a matter of time until the Generians pursued them, but they would not find it so easy again.
The remaining 1,366 men headed for the Fort de Barok.

General Tayonovich recovered consciousness on a stretcher in the ruined encampment. He struggled to his feet.

"What happened?" he asked a nearby officer.

"Air attack, sir," replied the lieutenant. "Took out damn near the whole camp and much of air support. Oh, Captain Stoyanovich said he needed to talk to you when you came too."

Tayonovich limped over to Captain Stoyanovich who saluted upon seeing him.

"Sir, we recieved word that the operation in Pozzo Negro was entirely successful. Gragne reported 100% enemy casualties and minimal friendly. The city's little more than a smoldering ruin now."

"Excellent," replied the general.

"Oh, but sir there is something else. The Emperor made a speech to the foreign powers at home while you were out. I think you ,may want to take a look at it." Stoyanovich handed him a sheet of paper with the speech's transcription printed on it.

General Tayonovich's eyes widened.
"What do you think we should do, captain?"

"I have no idea, sir. It is our home."

"But when we return there may be nothing left."

"Yes, sir, but what have we to gain here if there's no country to fight for?"

"We face an interesting situation my friend. Perhaps one unprecedented in military history. I believe i shall make a decision within the hour. Be prepared to call our men out to go fight for the homeland."

Tayonovich went off to his tent to think things over.

Back in Generia, there were little rebellions fermenting. No nation, no matter how united, didn't contain at least a few disgruntled citizens who wanted change. It took a little word here, a few credits there, and a whole lot of ordinance to get a small rebellion or two flowing. There were no major actions yet, except for some sabotage of military production.

Two large explosions rocked the empire in one night, one on a major power station, cutting off power from a large industrial area for over a day, the other disabling a weapons production facility.

Nine of the saboteurs involved were cornered, but all were slain or killed themselves in the ensuing gunfight before they could be captured and interrogated. They were, to a man, all foreigners.

This, in addition to an impending invasion, would give even an empire pause.

----o0o----

Eighteen cruise missiles, launched from the farther side of Barokoy, broke from beneath the surface of the sea and weaved their way through over mountains and valleys and flew over the Generian infantry and armor column. From each missile issued forth a swarm of submunitions, each heading down and outwards, seeking anything with heat: engines, weapons fire, or flesh. Trucks and lightly armored vehicles exploded. Tanks shuddered with the impact of the explosions, many of their main gunbarrels shredded. Men died screaming and flying in all directions. The missiles themselves, when they were done spawning, slammed into pre-programmed destinations, painted by the snipers hiding far from the column's flanks. Up went several lesser officer convoys, supplies, and mobile ammunition depots.

In the confusion, assembled Rangers struck, for the last time, moving through the smoke quickly in gas masks with grenades and plastique, trying to get to the supplies and officers. Almost all of them were cut down in the first few minutes. The dead lay still. The dying broke a back tooth and swallowed the cyanide.

As the black smoke billowed, choking the soldiers, and scattered fires and secondary explosions and grenades from the retreating saboteurs raged throughout the column, the moaning and screaming of the wounded and the shouting of the officers was drowned out by the whistling sound of bombs, dropped high from above cloud cover by all three of five of the entire Dominion Air Wings.

Prone beneath the body of the dead Templar commander, Lt. Byrne looked up, and grinned. Around him, his comrades lay still, spotted by enemy snipers right before the missile attack. There were garbled reports from the other squads on his radio, carrying out more tagging and sabotage operations. His rifle, irreparably jammed, lay discarded beside him as he held the tag laser steady on what he fervently hoped was the army's main command vehicle. The coordinates were already in. He could run, but it would make no difference. The bombs would fall, almost exactly on his position.

It was a good war, he reflected. When he died he'd take down a few hundred more of the unlucky f*ckers with him.

---o0o----

A grimy and grim-faced Ranger saluted Major General Volstein. The left side of his face was smeared with blood, and his right forearm, bandaged days ago, had begun to leak blood, dripping slowly on the command vehicle's floor. He handed him a communique:

SUBJECT: Dominion Reinforcements
TO: Commander Volstein, CO of Barokoyan Operations, NAS

Have been ordered to reinforce NAS and local forces. Mobilizing now. Will arrive soon with thirty percent of entire Dominion armed forces. Infantry, armor, air support, and 1/3rd of Raymzonian naval fleet. Also attached to message are photos and analyses of enemy positions and headings from air surveillance. Enemy taken significant losses from last air attack approx. 18 mins. ago, but threat still considerable for your men.

Also: attaching all remaining Templars and their equipment to Duke de Barok's personal guard. Earlier assassination attempt by rebels resulted in critical condition for Duke. Will advise on his condition when we can.

Be prepared.

"Permission to leave, sir. My men are still out there," the ranger said, with difficulty. Before the Ganeral could reply, the Ranger had collapsed, weakened by blood loss and fatigue.

Carlo Marquez looked on the wrangled mess where Pozzo Negro used to be.
What the Generian forces had done was not in any of the military strategy books he had studied as a young officer in the Barokoy Defense Force--it had been large-scale murder.

Scribbling a note and handing it to a runner nearby, he gathered his men and headed stealthily for the Generian encampment.
Ally or no, Generia had just massacred an entire city of his countrymen.

It was a suicidal move but their rage and their knowledge of local terrain made the 3rd Revolutionary Brigade's approach silent and relentless.
They had spotted the convoy of Generian soldiers moving away from Pozzo Negro and had followed it to a baned in the highway.

As a man, the rebels raised their weapons, took aim at individual targets and opened fire. The air was ripped apart by the crack of rifles, bursts of machine guns and the "whoosh" of rockets.

Within a minute, the ambush was over. Before the smoke cleared and the last of the Generian ammuniton cooked off in the fires, the 3rd Revolutionary Brigade had melted away into the foliage.

General Tayonovich got up from the desk in his makeshift office. He walked out into the middle of the encampment and approached Captain Stoyanovich.

"Captain, you tell me that they're all holed up in that fort across the island?"

"Yes, sir. Are we gonna go get 'em?"

"No. I have a much better idea. I know a very nice french restaurant in San Serrif. I believe we shall dine there with the rest of the army tonight."

Captain Stoyanovich chuckled.

"Absolutely. I will contact Gragne in Pozzo Negro and tell him to begin moving to San Serrif. They'll be there in a matter of hours."

"Excellent. We will let Gragne have some more fun when he gets there. No survivors. I plan to make myself king of this pathetic nation, and you, Stoyanovich, will be Grand Duke."

Again the men laughed and began making preparations for their final attack.

--00--

Gragne surveyed the damage that the ambush had left. Luckily the casualties had not been signifigant enough to impede him terribly. He still had a good 350,000 men. A man ran up to him and handed him a radio. It was Tayonovich.

"Gragne, excellent work in Pozze Negro. International newsworthy. I need you to do the same thing in San Serrif. Leave the city standing however. I think we may have to take control of this nation. If you succeed in capturing the city, believe me, you will hold a very cushy government post. Possibly my right hand man."

"Of course sir. We will move immediately. Damn enemies are all the way down at some fort in the south. We still have a few guerrillas strafing us but they shouldn't be too much of a problem."

"Excellent. Keep up the good work."

Gragne turned to his men and yelled the order to move. The army was soon on its way to the capital.

The Imperial army saw the gleaming white walls of San Serrif coming up in front of them. Tayonovich stepped out of the APC that had transported him and much of his command to meet the rest of the army. Tayonovich was not going to miss the conquest of his new capital city for the world. Tayonovich approached Gragne.

"Captain, I trust everythhing is in order for our attack?"

"Absolutely, sir. The soldiers are eager to begin," replied Gragne.

"Good, I want to be in control of the Duke''s palace by sunset. We must hurry. Our enemies will not delay when they hear the news that we are at their gates. It will be easier to defend a city than to fight an open battle in the field."

"I agree, sir. Shall I give the order to advance?"

"Yes, immediately. Call in our carrier air support. Our pilots need some exercise. We'll need air cover and strafing runs in the city. And set up the artillery to commence bombardment on my order. The armor will approach first followed by the Praetorians and the remainder of our force. Soon we shall see the Generian flag flying over that white city."

Captain Gragne turned to his men.

"Prepare for the approach. Same as Pozze Negro. Start off slow but work yourselves to a charge. Remember! Follow the armor! Generians charge!

The army, already assembled into phalanxes behind the tanks began its approach in dead silence. They moved slowly at first eventually working into a charge. Captain Gragne let out a massive battlecry and the men carried it, roaring at the top of their lungs. The first tanks hit the outside of the city, machine guns blazing.

The soldiers manning checkpoints outside the city were cut down immediately by the Generian attack. Of the thirty man platoon deployed on the outer perimeters of San Serif, at least half was killed on the spot. A squad opened fire with anti-tank rockets and heavy machine guns, cheering as Generian tanks fireballed.
The rest scampered for cover and radioed in a contact report. The report was relayed to NAS and Raymzonian command centers within seconds.
Crossing through the hastily created network of trenches, foxholes and minefields, the survivors crept back into the city.
They hastily positioned themselves in their "kill zone" and awaited further orders, or further contact with the enemy.

--
In the city of San Serif, roads were closed off, buildings barricaded and garrisoned. Figthing would be bitter house-to-house affairs, and there, the Barokoyans would be fighting on a level playing ground for once. San Serif roads were narrow, winding streets that gave ideal ambush points at each turn.

The fighters moved in swift and low over the Barokoyan countryside. They spied San Serif and the 30 plus jets began their attack run. They moved in firing missiles first and leveling buildings, then made a second pass coating the downtown area with napalm. The flames burst into the sky leaving a smoking trail for miles. In the streets people screamed and ran about like flaming phoenixes. Buildings collapsed and dust filled the air as missiles left gaping holes in their structure.

Outside the city, artillery thundered. Shells hurtled through the air and smashed into the sides of skyscrapers. Explosions rocked the streets and craters appeared in the concrete. Shrapnel flew and slashed civilians as they ran for cover from the falling sky. The guerilla tactics were no match for a massive bombardment.

The tanks thundered across the thoroughfares, cannons blazing. Shells rocketed into defensive positions and the gunners laid waste to all in their path. Children ran into alleys and were caught by collapsing metal beams. Bullets from the tanks cut civilians to pieces. The infantry charged into the burning streets screaming for blood. They ran into buildings, clearing everyone inside with flamethrowers and machine gun fire. People ran into the streets to escape the death squads but were massacred by crossfire. Soldiers ran onto the rooftops and sprayed the streets from there.

Captain Gragne, at this moment, ceased to be a human being and gave way to his animal instincts. As the soldiers poured over the city like ants he stood among them and roared to the heavens. Drawing his machete he ran into an office building with a platoon of Generian soldiers. The men kicked over desks where frightened workers hid and sprayed lead into their bodies. Resistance forces looked back from their windows where they had been taking sniper shots and were met with a storm of fire. The men were literally ripped to shreds. Gragne and his men moved up the floors of the building continuing their bloody conquest. Gragne's saber thirsted for human blood and Gragne sated this appetite. A woman ran across his line of view and he hacked her down. A boy held a rifle, too afraid to fire. Gragne smiled and slashed the boy's neck. The floors were completely stained with blood. The squad finished with sick efficiency and Gragne rounded them up and sent them back into the street. He jumped onto the side of a nearby tank bound for the Duchal palace.

All over the battle raged as the Generians swept over defenses and blockades killing all in their path. A wave of men surged forward deeper and deeper into the open wound that San Serrif had become. Tayonovich watched the city burn from the distance. The screams carried over to reach his ears. He knew that his battle was going well. Gragne was an unstoppable force, a hurricane of a man who knew no fear or defeat in the chaos of battle. This really was Gragne's kind of war. The kind he had been waiting for and training for all his life. And the fruits of victory would be oh so sweet.

As the Generian fighters maneuvered for more strafing runs, their pilots were alarmed to notice hundreds of blips appearing on the edges of their radar. More alarming, over two hundred extremely fast-moving blips moved towards their craft, from the direction of the sun.

It was a cloud of A9s, and they were already locked on. The days of the dogfight were over. Typically, air battles were determined by who shot their guided missiles first. And F-16s and 18s had shorter range than the new MiGs, a fleet of which was bearing down on their position.

Almost all the Imperial craft broke off and went through evasive maneuvers. Dozens of them exploded, their launched missiles, losing guidance, falling disarmed to the ground. Thirteen Dominion fighters, however, were also destroyed by the desperate counter-salvo launched by Generian fighters.

The first wave, the Second Dominion Wing, broke off and put their afterburners to work. The last few missiles from the enemy fell short of the fleeing craft. The second wave then counter-attacked, another salvo of missiles forming a loose cloud. Any remaining fighters scrambled out of the way and shot chaff, intercepting some of the Sidewinders. The Imerial fighters shot off in retreat, after a dozen more of their number spiralled downwards, burning. After the second wave retreated, the third wave went to work on the enemy artillery, supplies, and anti-air assets.

Columns of flame erupted in the enemy positions. The field guns destroyed, their ammo cooked off and set off chains of explosions. The anti air cannons managed to take down a few more of the Dominion MiGs, before they too disappeared into walls of fire.

The 8th Widowers flew by for damage assessment. "Bravo 9 to base, we've scared off the pigeons. Guns are down, and their supplies are cut. Moving to secondary targets. Request permission to screw some tee-double-ohs."

"Acknowledged, Bravo 9. Take your pictures and RTB. Permission granted to eliminate targets of opportunity. Watch for flak, don't wander too far from preset flightpaths."

The remaining squadron dropped their payload over an armored column making for the treeline, and zoomed off to a chorus of rending and burning metal.

It was another step from air superiority to air supremacy. After a few more strikes, they would make sure the enemy's huge army unsupported except for armor, under-supplied, and running out of ammo.

---o0o---

The Dominion fleet reached the outskirts of barokoyan waters. They took up defensive positions, while below, the submarines scattered and probed for any enemy openings. They were to hold their fire, and retreat if anything even looked in their direction.

(OOC: Generia, i seriously doubt you're getting any reinforcements off your land, seeing as there's a huge navy and aerial blockade surrounding your little empire. It pays not to make too many enemies too fast.

Sturmann Jensen levered the top from a crate, revealing the rifles within. He was surrounded by a crowd of confused, frightened, angry and patriotic Barokoyan civilians.
"Arm yourselves, damn it or they'll do the same here as they did in Pozze Negro!"
Eager hands clutched at guns as an ammunition crate was broken open.
OOC: The weapons distributed to the populace are AK-47s, AK-74s and a grenade (Frag) each.

The Generian forces had charged straight through the first wall of San Serif, due to it still being under construction. The second wall presented some problem, but a door had been left unlocked and unguarded (Possibly a traitor or saboteur) and the Generians swarmed inside, shooting their way up the staircases and corridors inside the wall.
The first Generian troops to find a door to the other side, however, died within seconds of opening it. The third wall lay 300 yards away across a stretch of open ground, the buildings which had occupied it had been demolished for this purpose. NAS Wehrmacht riflemen poured lead through the rapidly opening doors at the base of the second wall, butchering any who showed their faces.
One group of brave soldiers managed to get 50 yards before one of them stepped in the wrong place, and all of them were killed instantly or savagely wounded by an anti-personnel mine.
OOC: "But Blackadder, what do I do if I step on a mine?"
"The usual procedure, Captain Darling, is to leap a hundred and fifty feet in the air, and spread yourself over a large area."
-------------------------
"Fight, you sons of whores!" yelled Kapitän Gervast, as he contemptuously fired his H&K .45 Mk23 Pistol at the Generian troops.
A calm voice came from behind him, "How are you doing, Kapitän?"
Gervast turned to see the scarred face of Brigadeführer Volstein gazing at him, "Sir! I...The Generians are afraid to cross the open ground. They're still in the second wall"
"Good. Keep them there, and barricade the gates of this wall. We don't want them to get in, should they manage to cross 300 yards of mines and potholes, all the while under fire!"
"Yes, sir" Volstein wasn't much good at attacking fortresses. He had a habit of throwing his men at them until the enemy gave up or ran out of bullets, but he was a real bastard behind walls.
And he had five to play with.
OOC: That means, Generic Empire, that if you manage to cross this bit, there's still two walls behind it!

In her downtown San Serif home, now peppered with bulletholes, Mama Rosa slowly filled bottles with gasoline. Her daughter stuffed them with rags and put them in crates. He would pass them on later to the defending troops. Everyone had to do their own little part in the defense of the capital city.

All over the city, what few government vehicles there were were converted into barricades as the defending (recently armed)civilians and soldiers prepared to push back the enemy.

Carlo Marquez and his ragtag 3rd Revolutionary Brigade had marched along the main highway all night, using the wheat and wildgrass as cover when a military convoy approached. They had already hit three convoys so far, re-arming themselves from the enemy's supplies. The runner he had sent had returned last night and had handed him a scrawled message. He read it silently and then gathered his men to march on San Serif.

They were now watching the defense of San Serif, his men seething with barely-controlled rage.

Over the city of San Serrif the ants were still swarming. The Generians were in full battle rage now butchering everyone in their paths. They had begun to light fires across the city to cloud the air with smoke, preventing enemy air strikes. It seemed to be working. The towers of black fuel fed smoke climbed into the sky completely obscuring much of the city.

--00--

Tayonovich approached the officer in the makeshift field command post set up on the ground floor of an old hotel. It was not a large target and so the risk of air strikes was quite low.
"Dammit, Colonel! The F***ing air strikes are killing us down here! By God, do something about it! Im not about to lose this because these P***ys wont fight on the ground like men."

"Right away sir," replied the Colonel. "Get the admiral on the line. I need air support in here fast!"

--00--

On the deck of the GES Anja pilots scrambled across the deck. Crew members urgently refueled the fighters that had survived the first assault. The fighters rocketed off the deck and towards San Serrif. This time they would destroy the Raymzonian air wing in its entirety.

--00--

On the ground the AA guns stood trained on the sky. They were camouflaged and completely invisible to fighters from the air. SAM sites watched, ready to take down any hostiles that appeared in the theater of war. The Generians were going to take back the air by any means necessary.

--00--

The troops were on their way, 250,000 blood thirsty killers loaded into transports. The Emperor had just issued his decision to shut down the slave trade, effectively ending the blockade. They would arrive soon, perfectly in time to win the battle of San Serrif.

--00--

Gragne jumped off of the tank upon which he had hitched a ride. He landed among the army delayed in front of a field 3 football fields in length. They had taken cover to avoid the relentless fire from the NAS riflemen.

"Get off your arses you filthy sons of whores! What are you hiding from? Charge!"

"But sir," whined a young soldier, "The field is covered with mines!"

"Mines?" replied Gragne, "Mines? You're cowering from a few mines? I'll show you fear you disgusting coward!" he said slicing off the man's ear. The soldier screamed and clutched his head. Gragne icked him up by his collar and threw him to his feet.
"You see, you pathetic fools, You've got more to be afraid of from me than a few mines! 'Cause I'll kill you for sure if you stay here, but if you charge you've got a fregging chance! No go before you make me even sicker than I already am!"

The men saw Gragne's logic and picked themselves off the ground running out across the field. They ran. Ran like the devil himself were after them, and in many ways he was. Gragne pursued his troops brandishing his rifle and saber to dissuade any from ceasing the assault. Explosions spattered the men in front as they discovered the location of the land mines. The soldiers behind them got it easier and simply followed in these men's footsteps, minimizing the casualties. The 345,000 rage driven soldiers slammed into the opposite end of the field and stormed over the enemy position, stabbing and firing into the men at point blank range. The NAS soldiers had not expected a charge of that size and were taken off guard. The Generians fought there way through and continued towards the Duchal Palace looming only yards ahead. Any untrained civilian militia men in their way were slaughtered like dogs. The tanks had followed the infantry through the field and had now taken up their previous position ahead of the soldiers to provide cover. They sprayed lead everywhere mowing down everyone in site. It was an exercise in simple brute force. The men fought with such animosity that they were unrecognizable, motivated by the fact that after they had won they would be free to pillage the city, taking whatever they wanted: money, jewelry, and women.

The men saw a wall looming up before them. Gragne smiled.

"A concrete wall?" he said to himself. "This is the 21st century. Don't these fools realise that? Artillery! Concentrate fire on that wall!"

The tanks and self propelled artillery blasted shells into the wall, boring a large hole through the center. The men poured through and spied a second wall. The tanks did the same thing, assisted this time by daisycutter bombs, dropped from above. The soldiers stayed out of range of the explosions until this second wall was down.

"Go! Into the breach! Die for Generia!" roared Gragne.

As the Generians moved forward they set up anti-aircraft defenses throughout the city. Men were given stinger missile launchers and placed on office rooftops, and SAM installations, towed behind the armor, came online and tilted skyward to destroy any wave of air support that came over San Serrif's black skyline.

The soldiers came to the gates of the palace and ramed their way through storming into the front of the building. They would hunt the Grand Duke down and execute him, thus sealing their victory.

As the Generians battered down the front gate of the Ducal Palace, they came face to face with a pair of heavy machine gun emplacements, thirty feet in front of them. Tables had been overturned, and the guns placed on top.
They opened fire simultaneously, but were soon overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of Generians. The Generians charged through the building, meeting only token resistance, and found several female staff. (OOC: Guess what they did?)
After an hour of slogging their way through the maze of corridors, they came upon a last door. There was a large golden plaque upon it's face, which read: 'Chambers of the Grand Duke of Barokoy'.
The message was carried along to Captain Gragne.
"This is it, lads" said Gragne, brandishing his sabre, "This is where the little bastard will be hiding. I'm gonna run him through myself!"
Gragne bullied a few troops into order, then shoved them through the door.
They found the room empty, save for one middle-aged officer with a scarred face, greying hair, a wry smile, and piercing blue eyes. He held a razor-sharp sword in his hand.
"I was wondering when you would find me" he said.
"Who the hell are you, and where is the duke?" growled Gragne.
"I am Brigadeführer Hans Gruber Volstein, Commander of the NAS Task Force. The duke is not here, as you can see. He left, along with his family, to be housed in the New Aryan State until the situation here is resolved. Who are you?"
"Gragne, Captain Gragne of the Imperial Generian Army. And I'm going to fillet you, you pompous sod. Leave him!" he told his men, "This bastard's mine"
The two fighters crossed swords. Gragne carried a heavy, straight-bladed butchering sword, Volstein a lighter Kliegenthal Sabre.
Gragne made a thrust, it was parried. He slashed, also parried. He launched into a short combination of slashes, cuts and thrusts, none of which managed to hit Volstein. Another slash, and Volstein, who had not attacked at all so far, made a lightning riposte and thrust his Kliegenthal upside-down up to the hilt into Gragne's stomach, twisting the blade until he could see tears form in the younger man's eyes.
"We were going to jail you for War Crimes, you reckless, murdering bastard son of a tuppenny whore" said Volstein, his face an inch from the dying Gragne's, "For life. Pity we didn't win. I'd've enjoyed seeing you ROT!" With that, Volstein ripped his blade from Gragne, letting the man sink to the floor to choke to death on his own blood.
In front of the shocked Generian soldiers, Volstein crossed to the four-poster bed in the middle of the room, and picked up a small black object.
"I'll see you all in hell, you little shits" he said, and pushed a button on the control.
Thirty-four charges, set at key points in the Palace's structure detonated, bringing the entire three hundred year old building crashing down on the heads of the occupants. One of the charges was directly beneath Volstein's feet. Killing him instantly.

OOC: Damn. I wrote a really good post to prolong the siege, then I realised that the wall had already been breached and overcome. Had to destroy the palace, though. Fun. No idea how I'll win now.

OOC: What? You're having a go at me? That took damn well ages! And it's not like ALL your troops were in there, anyway! The collapse of the building would have killed about 100 at most! Besides, I don't complain (Hadn't up until this point) about your posts. Or Rayzmonia's posts. Your last post damn well killed every bastard in San Serif, and that was the capital! And you did it in ONE POST! You've shot loads of my minor officers and such. I have to make up a weird German name every single post, and that's not easy! I might at least be able to kill one damn character! Your air force, look at that. Rayzmonia took out three carriers and crippled a fourth. You didn't complain, you counted your losses and headed for repairs. SUDDENLY...You have the ability to counter Ray's 200 MiGs (Launched from Ray's fleet) with a larger force of planes, and you don't say how! There was no way you could! Also, there was a blockade on your country, by someoneorother, the Emperor decides to haphazardly give up slavery, with NO THOUGHT on the economic repercussions, just so you can sneak a load more troops through. You, mate, are a GODMODER WHO USES NORMAL NUMBERS. You have your troops numbered and whatever, so no typical "I kill all your blokes with my 2,000,000,000,000 tanks", but you NEVER LOSE. Even though your troops, and you said this yourself, are poorly armed and trained, you just ALWAYS WIN. You obviously NEVER read the stickys, because you started the game with a 14% military, which is ludicrous, then make up some ridiculous idea to support it. Therefore, I say a big, resounding SOD OFF, to your request to edit a perfectly reasonable post.

General Tayonovich watched stunned as the Duchal Palace became a fireball, throwing stone and twisted metal through the air. Only minutes earlier had Gragne taken his soldiers inside and now it was leveled completely. Their enemies had laid a clever trap for them, and now Tayonovich had lost his greatest warrior. The blast and subsequent collapse had killed off many soldiers crowded aroung the palace grounds.
Tayonovich weighed the situation in his mind. He still had a large force in the city and half of it either destroyed or under his control. The Duchal palace had been completely annihalated, and many of the enemy soldiers lay dead or dying. Tayonovich knew he could still take this city if he moved quickly. The Raymzonian forces had landed, he had just been told, but he also had a large group of reinforcements on the way. Tayonovich gave the men the orders to quickly overrun the second half of the city and slaughter the remaing defenders. He would be King of Barokoy yet.

The first of the NAS transports came into sight, having sped forward ahead of the main NAS/Raymzonian reinforcement armada. The six small boats gathered around half a mile from the southernmost point of Barokoy. They stayed for around ten minutes, then retreated to thirteen miles offshore. During the ten minutes, they had each deployed one 5-man mini-submarine. The submarines carried Waffen-SS Marines, the hardest-trained troops the NAS had to offer. They were physically superior to near any man. The Marines piloted their subs to the shore, anchoring them below the surface. Then they made their way onto the pebble-strewn beach to remove their diving equipment. Their uniforms were a dark blue, with black eppaulettes, collars and helmets. They were equipped with standard H&K G3A4 assault rifles. An officer spoke, and the platoon made their way towards Payatas Town.

Hold on a second, slivers, are io-weapons, if your people are future tech., then my slivers are definitley arund(clones and messing with genes), warpstone, basic substance, instead of using uranium or plutonium(which may have turned into warpstone somehow), and insert into weaponry, as for army, I alone have 5 million(thats 5%) and other region members give me troops and funding(stupid allies, never post on forums), so sorry mis calculation in numbers, over 26 million without counting one or two donations, as for minds, never encountered skaven have you? They will flinch, but are equal if not more fanatical. As a soldier in my army, their are 4 choices, die by getting killed from friendlies(shooting at a big mob in hopes of hitting your people), getting killed by enemies, dieing from malfunctioning weapons, or actually live and are victorius(1st one is very rare), as for the 26 million, I suggest you take that, if I use a calculator, it will probably be a few million higher. THIS WAR WILL END IN THE SKAVEN VICTORY, even if it takes slaves with rusted utensils, me (and any support else where) WILL WIN, I am not concerned with casualties, their is no death toll too high......

Okay I'm getting sick and tired of these arguments: rules, which Jon (Barokoy) and I have agreed on, which I'm laying down because JOn is too nice to say it. Feel free to contribute:

•EVERYTHING is modern tech. meaning, all technology is strictly circa 2004 (or earlier, if you like. mine is circa late nineties). anyone posting usage of anything more "future" than that will be ignored.

•The Skaven, or any other non-modern tech that's already involved, will from now on be treated merely as special forces.

•Generia, you better start coming up with a better excuse than "my country is a bunch of loyal warlike fanatics" to explain how you can shut down a slave trade, displace over a million men (WORKING men, since you conscript, which is the only logical explanation for your freaking 15% armed forces) and billions of credits' worth of military hardware without your (pizza-delivery based) economy grinding to a halt, or crashing at the very least, or having domestic unrest, when you have a history of rebellion.

You're not even slowing down, here, and between the NAS and I, we've accounted for almost all your air support, a huge chunk out of your supplies, and your armor.

I've really tried give you the benefit of the doubt, here, about your godmodding, but it's really starting to look like your ARE modding.

•Let Barokoy DO something other than be a passive receiver of attacks. Because of everyone else's posts, Barokoy hasn't been able to do anything because, each time Jon's online, he suddenly realizes that an major city of his is suddenly gone. So quit with the blitzkrieg and let other people roleplay too. He DID start this whole thing for all of us.

My people are not clones, I said think of them that way, it was stupid mother nature, a tribe long a go found an underground area, evolving natuarly and help from small amounts of some radioactive material, the "evovled", as for future tech, I haven't been using any in this, but if red tide comes in with INFANTRY level body vest capable of DEFLECTING A 50 CALIBER ARMOR PEIRCING ROUND, people use radioactive materials in weapons, if they don't, they should, all equipment I have is either outdated or from today back, have I once said I was using warpstone shells in my howitzers, no, I haven't used any goodies in this, only infantry. Slivers, people only a few years ago have cloned a sheep, instead of cloning sheep, I played god and took MANY years to make make the slivers(that was the most expensive/difficult project ever). Alright, first thing's first. Forgive me if I am blunt, but I write this in frustration. I have a population of 62 million people. 5% of 62 million is 3.1 million soldiers. I have and have had an army of 3 million men from the beginning. You cannot complain to me about this because it goes completely according to YOUR rules and quite frankly im growing tired of the nonsense that your giving me regarding this. I have been more than reasonable when someone has approached me with claims of godmoding, for example NAS when i got agitated by him commanding and blowing up one of MY lead commanders. I did not complain about this and gave him the benefit of the doubt when he explained himself, so dont talk to me about any modding, Raymzonia.

Number two: Who are you to say that MY people are not loyal, patriot fanatics? If you had paid any attention to any of the threads created by me while my nation was developing then you would see there is a very clear reason for this. The Emperor Vladimir Kreschnev is obviously one of the most astute demagogues and propagandists on NS, so he can obviously motivate the people to great fanaticism. Also events such as invasion, as i have ALREADY explained, contributed to a fierce sense of loyalty and duty to country and Emperor, so I suggest you cease the claims that I do not have control over my populace.

Also, it is my nation and I have certain creative control over what the atmosphere is.

Number three: THERE IS NO HISTORY OF REBELLION IN MY NATION, WHATSOEVER! Every war that has been fought in our history has been with an outside invading army, and a corrupt military leader BEFORE the reign of Emperor Vladimir Kreschnev. I suggest you cease these claims as well, but I will dismiss them for now as a misunderstanding. In the case of a separatist religious state, that was a small group of terrorists that were wiped out completely, and so cannot rebel now, can they?

Number four: The economy. My economy, as you can see, is an economic POWERHOUSE. Even if an economy is based on pizza delivery and other things with a population of 62 MILLION people, the workforce is amazingly large. This alone would generate huge amounts of government income taxed from the people, plus the fact that the government is a compulsory consumerist state, meaning that the revenue generated on all fronts would have to be enormous. 62 MILLION people, thats a lot of pizzas.

Number five: Air support, armor, supplies. I have currently 350,000 men in Barokoy and 250,000 more on the way. You have no way of knowing if you have accounted for all of my air support, armor, or supplies. You have made, combined, what? 3 airstrikes at the most? Even with your massive air force that is not nearly enough to destroy an army's supply line, armor column, and air force. My air force has been inactive for the large majority of the war. I sent out one small portion to do a strike on San Seriff. ONE SQUADRON. And you destroyed it claiming it to be my entire air force. You have no right to this claim. Again, you say IM godmoding? Barokoy claims that he has been making attacks on my convoys moving towards the city. Last time I checked, Baroky, I never mentioned any convoys. My army was all in one spot: San Serrif, making this blatantly commanding my forces. Godmoding maybe just a little? My tanks. I have many armored divisions and I have not seen more than 5 tanks destroyed in the entirety of this war. If this was assumed that I lost more, than my mistake, but seeing as you didnt mention destroying any, then I continue to use them.

I started out with 500,000 men in Barokoy. This number has dropped to 350,000. Altogethor you have killed 250,000 of my soldiers. 250,000 men is a number that casualties on BOTH sides rarely erupt to. That's pretty good, and I wouldnt complain about me being unstoppable.

Number six: my tactics. Blitzkrieg is my tactic. Complete destruction. No one has any right to tell me not to use my army as I see fit. This is the way this particular General fights, and I resent the fact that you have the audacity to try to change that. I am not stopping ANYONE from roleplaying here, and it pains me to hear you say that.

Here are your explanations. The way I have done things is ENTIRELY reasonable. I have not broken any codes or unspoken rules. I have "played fair." I have allowed you plenty of chances to defend yourself. I have never been a godmoder, will never be, and certainly am not now. It makes me sick that these accusations are flung at me, simply because I win a few battles. That is what I see this as. An act of selfishness and desparation. I like you people, really I do, but please for the love of God stop whining to me about what you think I am doing wrong. Again I apologize if I seem harsh or rude, but I simply want to contribute to a good RP and feel that I am being prevented from doing this.

I'm perfectley fine with 15%, it is a pretty good reason, the demagouge leader, I have no problem with it, if anything, I like it, instead of a rebel army of 30,000, we actually have something to fight. OOC:Well (for the regulars)its a simple process of taking normal bulletproof armor and adding a extra layer of kevlar protection or two... for the Current Gaurd members... their armor is made out of a thin layer of steel(with joints)... okay so maybe it wont repel a armored piecing round... but it will repel a fifty caliber machine gun/sniper rifle round.
