General Anthony Whitaker stood behind a podium overlooking numerous citizens, soldiers, and officials of ASW. He raised his hands, and the crowd grew immediately silent.
"Ladies and gentlemen, upon General Robert Steinhauser's death from his ill-fated heart attack, the nation was entrusted into my hands should his nephew, Kipland Kinkel, be of age. The age Steinhauser wanted Kinkel to assume command when his health failed was age 30. Kinkel is not of age at this moment, and lacks the guiding experience that Steinhauser felt as necessary. Now, this nation is in my hands, and I declare the reign of terror and darkness that held this nation in it's grasp for over 20 years ended at this moment."
An uproar came from the crowd, and the front few rows stood up, continuing to applaud and cheer. Whitaker held up his hands.
"ASW, she will have a new system, one where everyone is equal before the law, and none are subjected to the terror of the former government. I declare, from this moment on, a state of democracy and equality among our proud people and nation, and that no reign of terror, even paralleling that with which we have suffered far too long.
"The next few weeks of our new government in action will be placed towards the documentation of our Constitution, the system with which we shall gaurantee the inalienable rights of our citizens. All citizens from all over the country are encouraged to inform us of their views regarding important matters of the country. All other nations are invited to come and participate in the construction of our new way of life, and may glory be to our people. Tod, Blut, und Ehre! Death, blood, and honour!"
