The National Reformist Party (A combination of labor reformers, moderate left wingers, moderate right wingers, and some theocrats) declared Hans Von Manstein the party leader.
President Hans Von Manstein spoke to the nation via the government press he stated, “We will now set about building a state where free enterprise and equality are king. We move forward now under the guiding principles that all men are created equal. I urge the Council of Learned Elders to help pass Civil Rights Legislation. If they pass it, I will sign it into law.” Note that Manstein is only suggesting Civil Rights to gain votes, he doesn’t really like the people he is suggesting the government help (Sort of like Lyndon Johnson)
The extreme elements of the right wing are the States Rights Reformists under the leadership of a state governor, Hector Leonidas (35), a man descended from Greeks who immigrated to America in the mid-late 1800s, his grandparents left America after it became in their words, “Too left wing.” His party is based largely on the National Socialism in its earlier years.
The official platform of his party calls for the total sealing of all national borders, the expulsion of all non-whites, there are 1,000,000 non-whites in the entire nation, the reform of business practices, the subordinating of business to serve the state, the increased freedom of the states, the increasing of the armed forces, the abolition of most weapons restriction laws, the harsh curtailment of the drug trade, the ending of abortion, and several other key policies.
In the last 3 elections Leonidas was defeated, but he has gained increasing support. 9 years ago in his first attempt to run for president, he won 8% of the vote. 6 years ago in his second attempt, he won 12%. 3 years ago in his third and most recent attempt, he won 27% of the vote. The upcoming election is projected to be very close; observers say it could go either way. In the last two elections National Reformists and States Rights Reformists clashed in the street battles.
Right before the last election, States Rights Reformists clashed with the police and the National Reformists. They fled after several hundred of the city police sided with the National Reformists. Then when three nearby county sheriff departments sided with the States Rights Reformists the battles started anew. 2 Army brigades had to be called into to stop the violence that ultimately claimed over 2,000 lives.
In the last election there were widespread accusations that States Rights Reformists members intimidated non-party members away from polls. There were several thousand reports of men in paramilitary style garb with military style rifles chasing people away from the polls.
Governor Leonidas speaking to a large crowd in the streets of Mansteinburg attacked President Manstein’s Civil Rights platform. When asked by a man in the crowd what President Manstein meant by Civil Rights, Governor Leonidas had the following to say.
"It simply means that it's another effort on the part of this president to dominate the country by force and to put into effect these uncalled for and these damnable proposals he has recommended under the guise of so-called civil rights. And I tell you the Fluffite people from one side or the other had better wakeup and oppose such a program and if they don't the next thing will be a totalitarian state in these united states."
After the speech some 5,000 armed States Rights Reformists in camouflage clothing with their faces covered by black ski masks paraded through the streets of Mansteinburg. They chanted their party motto, “For the purity of our race.” Reportedly several hundred left-wingers counter marched the States Rights Reformists. Also there were reports of cars without license plates and full of masked armed men seen driving around the city during the rally. Apparently they were taking pictures of counter-marchers.
In an eleventh hour move, Leon Berry of the Prohibitionist Party has urged all of his supporters (About 100,000 by highest estimates) to vote for States Rights Reformist Hector Leonidas. This came as little surprise as Leon Berry is recognized as one of the most right wing politicians in FluffyCat.
Leon Berry gave a speech to his supporters and said, "Let them know that it's going to take a lot more than a bunch of black savages to keep the right from coming to power. Get out there are vote for Leonidas."
Reports are coming in of election related violence in South Jefferson (The State where Leonidas is governor). Mobs of white men have been seen beating blacks who attempting to vote. Sheriff's deputies tasked with guarding the polls stood by laughing and jeering. Armed masked men have been reported standing outside most polling places in South Jefferson. Several buildings that were being used to organize black voters were reported bombed.
Thus far over 800 people have been reported assaulted in South Jefferson, 27 people have been reported killed.
Law enforcement in South Jefferson have reportedly arrested over 20,000 people (18,500 of them blacks).
A large group of blacks in Jefferson City (Capital of South Jefferson), almost 2,000 in number were protesting what they called "Racist Law Enforcement", when they were ordered to disperse by the sheriff. After 2 minutes of continued refusal to disperse, approximately 30 sheriff's deputies fired G-3 rifles into the crowd, it has not been confirmed how many were killed.
Governor Leonidas of South Jefferson has ordered all white national guard units to mobilize and protect the polls. He has said that "Recent violence at the polls means that only the national guard can handle overseeing voting and ensuring the safety of all concerned." Approximately 15,000 guardsmen have begun to deploy at major voting stations.
There are reports of lynchings coming in from South Jefferson and Central Jefferson (Two states where the States Rights Reformists Party has massive). Approximately 18 blacks have been reported lynched in South Jefferson and 7 blacks reported lynched in Central Jefferson.

8 masked armed white men in camouflage are about two blocks from the building. They run through the city where the National Guard and police have already deployed to oversee safe voting. The 8 men are all armed with M-16 rifles with 100 round drum magazines. They run passed two deputies, the deputies just nod their heads in acknowledgement that they are there.
One of the deputies calls out, "You boys going to shoot up them nig---- in that Nig--- Building"
The team leader calls back, "You can bet the ranch on it."
The deputy calls back, "We'll make sure nobody gets within a block of it until you're out."
The deputy puts out a call to other deputies who he knows he can trust and for 1 block around the Negro Advancement League building, the deputies have cut traffic off.
The 8 men arrive at the building; the team leader spits a wad of chaw out, "Okay boys, lets do it." Each man checks his weapon and his readjusts his mask.
The 2nd in command kicks the door open and is the first one in there. A local preacher from a black church is near the doorway (He thinks the armed men are from the Black Power Party), "What are you doing bringing guns in here, you know we don't let Black Power types in here. Oh my, you're States Rights boys" He turns to run.
The M-16 of the 2nd command opens up sends 9 bullets into the man's side and back. He then sprays left and right, hitting anybody in sight. The other 7 men have also made their entrances into the building. They all proceed up and down throughout the office building, shooting anything that moves. One of them sees a white man (Socialist) get up from under a desk and try to run for the door to the alley, he calmly raises his rifle and fires a 3 shot burst in the man's back. The socialist is propelled forward and lands in a pile of boxes.
One of the men is butt-stroking a black man with his rifle. He smashes the stock of his rifle into the man's head at least a dozen times.
His friend walks by, "Hey, he's dead already. Move along, besides, you don't want nig--- blood on you, you might get AIDS." The two men move on and proceed with their rampage.
On the 5th floor of the 6th story building 3 of the 8 men (Team leader included) are searching for anybody who might have taken cover on the upper floors. One of them sees movement, "Come out from there or you're dead." A white woman steps out from under the desk and moves forward towards the 3 men.
One of the gunmen speaks, "Well sir, it looks like we found ourselves a traitor, she's probably one of those communists who bankrolls the nig---- to cause trouble for whites."
The other gunman adds in, "Well I think we should teach her a lesson. What do you think boss?"
The team leader weighs in, "Call the other 2 teams, and see what progress they're making."
The gunman with a radio learns the other 2 teams (1 team of 2 and 1 team of 3 are still on floors 3 and 4).
The team leader hears about the other teams still being on the lower floors and he speaks, "I think we got time to teach her a brief lesson." (He grins as he says lesson)
She turns to run but he is right behind her and slams her into a wall. The leader speaks, "You know what we do with traitors like you." A gunman speaks, "I know what I'm going to do with her." The 2nd gunman laughs. The team leader throws her on the floor, she is kicking and screaming, and the two gunmen hold her down while the team leader rapes her. Then the gunmen each take a turn. When they're done raping her, the team leader says, "Lights out bi---" before he knocks her unconscious by hitting her in the face with the butt of his rifle. A gunman speaks, "You didn't really have to do that did you sir... Wait of course you did."
The three men start laughing and laugh all the way back to the 1st floor. Another team cleared the 6th floor and all 3 teams are ready to leave now. They've killed approximately 72 blacks and 11 whites they deemed traitors.
The last gunman to rape the woman is still adjusting his pants as he exits the building and meets an angry deputy. The deputy starts yelling, "Damnit you took too long, hurry up and get out of here, we can't hold the cameras back any longer. Go, go."
The 8 men split into 4 groups of 2 and run off into the darkness. They discard their rifles by dropping them into the sewers; they toss their masks in dumpsters, and strip out of their camouflage clothing (they were wearing normal clothing underneath)
Every paper except the States Rights Reformist owned papers would report the next morning "Jefferson City Massacre."

Governor Orvall Wallace of Central Jefferson (A personal friend of Hector Leonidas and a fellow party member) has called out the National Guard to secure all major polling stations. He has cited the election violence as a result. Reports have come in from Central Jefferson that almost 100 people (All blacks or communists) have been lynched.
Governor Wallace was caught by the media walking to his car, and he gave a brief interview, "If those who are looking for a fight find one, why should the police care. If the nig---- don't want trouble then they should go back to their homes and leave the voting for the whites. I think that the current administration is making it a priority to agitate up our nig----. I tell you the nig---- here were happy and peaceful before all of the outside agitators came down here. I think the violence will end when the outsiders stop agitating our nig---- and the nig---- realize how good they have it here. But until that happens, I'm afraid I don't see an end to the violence."
A reporter spoke, "Governor Wallace, are you saying that you support violence against blacks?"
Wallace- Now I never said that, but if a nig--- goes looking for trouble. I don't think the police are obligated to protect him when he finds it. Because let me tell you something, the nig---- sure have a way of getting themselves into trouble.
Reporter- So are you saying the police won't protect blacks?
Wallace- Now I didn't say that. You're putting words is my mouth. The police will protect anybody whether they're a white or a nig---. If the nig---- are law-abiding and don't cause trouble then they won't have anything to worry about.

Exit polls in Central Jefferson and South Jefferson have Hector Leonidas of the States Rights Reformist Party winning by 98%. It is projected that if he has indeed won both Central and South Jefferson that he have secured 100 of the 250 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. It remains to be seen who will win the other states (East Jefferson, North Jefferson, and West Jefferson). In a narrow victory, Hector Leonidas of the States Rights Reformist Party won the presidency with 53% of popular vote and 161 of the 250 necessary electoral votes.
Hector Leonidas will begin to carry out his party platform shortly.

He has stated that, "Unless major reforms are made an a re-vote considered, I will not step aside and allow Hector Leonidas to be inaugurated as president."

What pushed everybody over the top was when footage surfaced 1 day after the elections of an affair that Hans Von Manstein had with a foreign diplomat. Manstein remembered it well, an attractive diplomat from another country, a redhead, she had been assigned to the embassy to talk about possible trade deals between the two nations. After the two talked for a few hours about business he move the conversation to personal matters and a few hours later she was in bed with him. He agreed to the trade deals and she stayed on at the embassy as an assistant to the ambassador. She visited him regularly for business talks and “intimate” meetings. He had no idea that one of his aides was a secret member of the States Rights Reformist Party and had planted a camera in his bedroom.
When footage of the president having a sex with a foreign diplomat hit the televisions, the States Rights Reformists immediately went on the attack, Leonidas said, “President Manstein, the nig--- lover will do what any other nation says so long as they send a woman to demand it. Isn’t it time we stop listening to this oversexed hypocrite who thinks he knows what is best for white people?”
After the footage was released, South Jefferson, Central Jefferson, and West Jefferson all seceded from the united state of FluffyCat.
Hans Von Manstein declared the 3 states to be in rebellion and began to mobilize federal soldiers as 4 key federal bases in South Jefferson, 3 key federal bases in Central Jefferson, and 1 key base in West Jefferson came under siege by the Rebels.
The rebels proclaimed Jefferson City (South Jefferson) their capital, and their president Hector Leonidas.
400,000 rebels mustered (state national guard, army units from the 3 states and based in the 3 states, law enforcement, and assorted white supremacists)

Well there is a war of secession about to start in FluffyCat. I'm not sure there will be many people to send out of the nation. They might all end up in mass graves, we'll have to wait and see.
The Federal forces in a Fort Jefferson, a base where the perimeter runs right up to Jefferson City in South Jefferson found themselves in trouble. All federal bases were built primarily on the assumption that they were on friendly soil. But as the states started to secede they laid siege to the bases. The bases had only the most basic security measures, they would hold against curious teenagers looking to swipe a souvenir, but against rebel artillery they were worthless.
The rebels had set up mortars, machine guns, and snipers on the roofs of buildings that overlooked the base. There were about 10,000 federal soldiers in the base, the 1st and 2nd brigade from the 2nd Heavy Infantry Division.
Already National Guard armories had either given up their weapons freely to the rebels, or been seized by them. The rebels were moving 155mm Howitzers to shell Fort Jefferson.
General Louis Navarre of the Rebels was in his jeep being driven around so he could talk to all his key officers. His driver was worried about a stray shell striking the jeep, he was quite nervous, and beads of sweet dripped down his face, and his shirt was soaked in sweet from his armpits. General Navarre however was cool and collected. He was smoking a cigarillo as he stepped out of the jeep to talk to Colonel Stuart of a National Guard unit.
Navarre- Colonel Stuart, I want you to get your regiment up by that hill over yonder *Points to the hill overlooking the base*, do you see it. I want you to ready to lay down suppressing fire on the main gate of the base when the assault squads move to assault.
Stuart- Yes sir, I see the hill. My boys will be there and they'll be ready to do their duty.
Navarre- Then get moving colonel.
Stuart jumped into his own jeep and his driver drove off.
The federals had hastily dug trenches and erected machine guns nests, but they had no hardened positions. An intense artillery barrage would be enough to wreck most of their positions.
The Federal commander is beginning to realize that without reinforcements his base will not be able to hold. He knows that within a few days, every federal base in the rebel states will fall to rebel siege. The bases weren’t designed to withstand a siege, they were basically just designed to house troops and equipment and serve as testing grounds for new weapons. He didn’t know how many rebels were out there but it was a lot, he knew he was outnumbered. If he could hold out long enough the Federal Rapid Reaction Force might be able to send something to help him, there were 5 Parachute Infantry Divisions in the Rapid Reaction Force. He just prayed that they would help his beleaguered forces.
