"Today, the election has been called in The Grassroots. Although, under normal circumstances, the international community would have no knowledge of these, we have decided to open it up to the international community. These are the parties running:
Capitalism Now: This is the current party in power. The leader is Bernice Oliver. They are a far-right party, and the one currently in power. They're running on the record, with a more-of-the-same platform.
Progressive Party: This is the official opposition. They would like to see a small safety net for the poor. They pushed through for health-care reforms. They are led by John Craig.
Reform Party: They are an offshoot of the Progressive Party who became disenfranchised with Alix Purdy's leadership. Alix Purdy was the former leader of the Progressive Party.
Elections will run for 10 weeks.
