This morning drug dealers from Anarchic Squirrels 4 were caught trying to smuggle 10 tons of "AS4 hyper suicidal tendency drug(AS4HSTD)" into Allanea by boat along the coastline.
The situation in Anarchic squirrels 4 could be compared to Afghanistan, concerning Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.
The terrorist group Meton, which is latin for source of fear, protects the drug dealers in Anarchic Squirrels 4, and the corrupt government does not take action knowing they have no possible way of stoping the terrorist group.

President Mr.T, the first squirrel at a news conference later that morning

*The first Squirrel stepped up to the podium at the conference and started to discuss what happened early that same morning.
"Are there any questions?" inquired the president.

Respected and well known reporter Joe Pilon stood up and asked "Is it true you have been cooperating with the terrorist group, Meton?"

You could here the anger in his voice rising, but keeping his cool the president slowly stated "Next question..."

The crowd began to mumble and everyone started to talk loudly until Zach Beaton also a well known reporter stood up and asked "Is this true?"

You could now see the presidents face turn red with anger as he burst out..."They work in silence, they talk in code, how am I to cooperate with them or even attempt to stop them!"

Mr.T, the president then continued "instead of living in fear, we should leave the subject be...I don't even see how its all that important really."

Later at the conference reporter Joel Campbell complained "this is not civil, we cannot let this happen to our great nation, we must take action...now!"

In response the president just stared at Campbell and Campbell burst out
"Why is it our great Mr.T, the so called first squirrel has noth...
SILENCE!' the president interupted smashing his fist on the podium.
Mr.T looked to the back of the room on his left from the podium and just stroked his beard and furrowed his brows.
Two dark figures then came from that direction charging towards Campbell, one holding and Ak-47, the other unarmed.

The unarmed man took Campbells arm and twisted it behind his back as Campbell cryed for help.
The other tall figure jabed Campbell in the stomach with the barrel of the Ak-47 as he fell to his knees.
The men escorted him to the bathroom still twisting the arm and jabbing at him.

"Any further questions?" the president asked "well... that what I thought...this conference is over!"

A newspaper articlest for the AS4 dialy news, Johnathan MacDonnell, later tried to enter the bathroom as soon as the conference ended but was halted by the tall dark unarmed man he had seen before. He printed in the Daily news " I could here faint moans and crys from the bathroom than a loud smack and then nothing".
It is not known if Allanea will take action on the subject.

It is not possible to smuggle drugs into Allanea. Drugs are legal here, including Cocaine. A company here has bought these 10 tons of cocaine, they are private property. It seems you now owe that company the price of 10 tons of cocaine.

We've got some crazy stuff down here.
We got this stuff that is highly addictive called AS4HSTD which will kill you the first time you take it which gives it no reason to be addictive.
It doesn't actually kill you but has such a high rate of suicidal tendency that you will and up in a trajic death.

If you are attempting to smuggle via the SW coast, my forces are there in international waters to stop exactly this sort if thing. Although we have no issue in allowing things legal in Allanea past our ships.

A dark figure is scene smoking, possibly a cigar.

He throws it down and begins to speak

And that was it as the dark figure pulled up what seemed to be an Ak-74 or Ak-47 and began to smoke once again.

Aaron Sanchez, Speaker for the People's Moot of Andolai, settled back into his office chair.

"So what's this AS4HSTD, anyway?" he asked the various advisors sitting around the table. One of them shuffled through some papers.

"Hasn't really been found in our society," he said. "Some sort of odd formula, could consider it the opposite of MDMA. Anarchic Squirrels 4 claims that it causes addiction and suicidal tendencies".

"And naturally, they're exaggerating".

"Naturally," the Health Advisor jumped in. "In order for a drug to be even slightly tempting to a subject in the first place, there must be some sort of perceived positive effect. A feeling of pleasure, or power, or whatever the subject is looking for. It's highly doubtful that a drug designed to inflict suicidal depression would catch on in any market"

"Hmph," Sanchez replied. "Yep, until we figure out exactly what this really is, we'll stay out of it. But check the Gothic nightclubs just in case, and see if you can get your hands on a sample of this drug. If we have to set up a treatment program, we'll do so".

It is actually used to treat ulcers and that sort.
A friend of mine was on a drug that was similair that did have suicidal tendencys, but less powerful on a scale of suicidal tendencys.
This drug was made illegal as soon as it was first tested.
A close friend of the president of Anarchic Squirrels 4 killed himself due to the drug.

OOC: Oh, I'm aware that drugs of this sort exist. They're simply not generally a danger to any society, as they never gain any major recreational popularity.

Who are you to determine it is not popular if Meton smuggled in 10 tons.

There doesn't have to be pleasure for it to be addictive.
It is hard to explain, yes, but it is not pleasure that makes you want to take it and the go suicide. It is a relief, ect. as many addicts say.

OOC: Who am I? Someone who knows the recreational drug scene (no, not in any high-level or major way. I've just paid attention to the things going on around me when I lived in some dangerous neighborhoods).

I'm simply stating my opinion as to whether or not this drug you speak of would gain any significant popularity in any drug subculture, and I have my doubts. With the exception of those who would take it to alleviate specific physical pain, it sounds as if the physical effects are nothing that would interest your typical recreational user.

Heroin makes you feel like you've returned to the womb. Marijuana causes you to giggle, feel lightheaded, and generally relieves stress. Crystal methamphetamine gives a sense of energy and confidence. Cocaine does something similar, but with a shorter and more subtle affect. Most major psychedelics (LSD, MDMA, Psilocybin mushrooms, STP, PCP, etc) cause a sense of "consciousness expansion" for the user to varying degrees and in various types. Quaaludes, Valium, and other tranquilizers cause a relaxed feeling of well-being. What does your drug have to offer? Why would anyone try it for the first time?

I suppose that what I'm confused about in game terms is why anyone would try this if it has no effect but to cause suicidal feelings and alleviate some pain. There are other narcotics on the market (especially in countries that have decriminalized their use) that would cause pain relief beyond compare without the resultant psychological effect.

In game terms, I am interested as my country markets recreational substances to markets where they are legal. If someone is adding a new drug to the market, our trade department would look upon the matter with some interest.

Who are you in terms of this post. Do you have any relation to the victim of the smuggleing of the drug.
Why would anyone try anything for the first time, theres lots of reasons but the core reason would be curiosity of course.
And then the first time you take it as it is a relief drug(was tested to relieve the pain of an ulcer,ect.)which could trigger you taking it but mostly curiousity, it would cause suicide.
And you deciding its popularity is opinion not fact!

"WHAT!" the president yelled in the phone.

As he hung up the phone, the president realized what it all meant.
News cameras now started rolling for the anouncment everywhere in AS4.
He was right.There it was on the television.

"Several drugdealers, which I might add have been being followed by the police for some while were all found dead in there homes and apartments" the news anchor said.

"A tape was found at one deadly scene stating that Meton is demanding several hundred millions of dollars from AS4 due to the botched shipping of drugs to Allanea.If this is refused they threaten to assassinate all leaders and their familys in Allanea, the country would not realease how much the terrorists wanted, but says they definately will not be able to pay it off even with taxes at 100%.On to other news....speaking of taxes...BANG!
The reporter dropped dead.
