OOC: Let me know how I am doing with this, this is my first RP ever

IC: The young Mexican courier hurried down the halls of the palace of the Emperor in New Tenochitlan, knowing to be late meant he would be tomarrows sacrifice in Central Square. Walking into the throne room the courier bowed deeply to the wizened old man sitting on the ornate throne. The Emperor then spoke in his old creaky, but deep and rich voice which carried throughout the room saying " Lad I think that now is the time to open the Mexica Union to the rest of the world" the courier nodded along, not understanding why he was called here. The Emperor took a deep breath and stood up, assisted by his numerous attendents, then he said "I would like to start the opening by offering to highest bidder 5,000 of our finest, most beautiful female pleasure slaves" the Emperor gave the courier a funny look before continuing "I have seen you steal more than a passing glance at the slaves young man" the courier blushed deeply at this, he was not aware that the Emperor was watching him of course the the courier thought who could not go into the palace and not get distracted by the pleasure slaves as the courier thought the Emperor harrumped and spoke again, jolting the courier from his day dream about the slave girls. "What I need you to do for me boy is to take this paper" at this point the Emperor pulled out a folded up sheet of paper " down to the Hepostrahowil T.V. station to the south, tell them to make the announcement on the show" the courier nodded and bowed then left the room with all speed.


THAT EVENING

At the Hepostrahowil T.V. station, Moneactal, the host of the evening news show What is Happening now in the Nauha world strainghted out the cresses in his outfit turned to the camera and spoke "Hello and welcome to the first International edtion of What is Happening now in the Nauha world and I am your host, Moneactal. First I have in my hand an ofiical announcement from our beloveded Emperor" then Moneactal took a piece of paper, unfolded it and read "To the peoples of the outside world. I Cuathactatill IV, Emperor of the Holy Empire of Mexica Union do here by wish to start off our international relations with a gift, 5,000 of our most beautiful female pleasure slaves are now up for sale. I trust that this offering with help cement friendship with other peoples aorund the world" after reading the message Moneactal looked up and smiled at the camera "Wow what a nice guy our Emperor huh?" he said. Moneactal then took a glass of water, drank it, then said "Well now looks move on shall we? Our next story involves a recent riot in one of the border reigons.......

Well we would gladly accept them as a gift to us to avoid your annexation this early on in the game. It would be a great shame to have to do that :wink:

In the Palace of the Emperor the Head Minister of the newly created Ministry Forgien Affairs looked over the note from DPUO and and then began to write a letter to that country with a smile on his face Most Esteemed leader of DontPissusoff on behalf of the beloveded Emperor Cuathactatill IV, I thank you for your kind offer of starting relations with us without asking for the slaves. When you are ready to send your ambassador please send him to New Tenochtitlan International Airport, not to the National Airport.

The Minister of Forgien Affairs looked at the letters on his desk and took out the one from Nova Hope and thought I did not think that this would happen so quickly, hmm. Aw well I guess it would happen sooner or later. After a few moments of thinking the Minister sat down and wrote To the Esteemed Congress of Nova Hope, In the name of our beloveded Emperor, Cuathactatill IV, we will accept the ambassador with open arms. On the issuse of inspectors the Emperor says no. We feared that we would have defend our customs, so we will. In the Mexica Union our slaves are the peoples of nations we have defeated in our glorious rise to power. By our laws they are to serve us forever both here and in Xiacahtamuchil (Mexican afterlife). After handing the letter to a young offical the Minister sat down to read the letters from Central Facehuggeria and Dumpsterdam. Most of the people around stared at the Minister as he laughed at the two letters (OOC: I thought it was pretty funny), after calming down the Minister took a piece of paper and wrote To the Esteemed leader of Central Facehuggeria in the name of our Beloveded Emperor, Cuathactatill IV, I thank you for your generous gift. When you want to send a request to the Offical Slave Traders Department (hereby refered to as the OSTD) in the newly created International Trade Organiszation (here refered to as the ITO) for the girls. After handing this letter to another courier the Minister took another piece of paper and wrote To the Esteemed leader of Dumpsterdam in the name of our Beloveded Emperor, Cuathactatill IV, I wish to ask you if you would like to set up a trade agreement with the OTSD (Offical Slave Traders Department) to dicuss a possible future trading realationship. If you do please do please message my office (OOC: In other words TM me) and we can discuss the terms of the agreement. With this the Minister got up gave the letter to still another courier and told his secretary "I am taking a break, hold my calls and other messages".

We can accept your wish to keep your customs intact and we will accept your answer, for now. We welcome the chance to open relations with you and would like to exchange embassies. We would be willing to build you an embassy here in the GMNHC (Greater Metropolitan Nova Hope City) as well as constructing one in your capital. Conversely we can allow you to build your own embassy so long as it subscribes to local building codes, we also require that at least 20% of your workers be Noviet residents (ooc: not difficult since while building you'd need to use construction grunts and afterwards your ambassador would here.) If this is acceptable to you we will begin construction of a multilevel facility with a minimal armed compliment, total staff being fifty.

As for the slaves, I realize that it is your custom to hold slaves of obviously inferior national stock, if they weren’t inferior how do you conquer them right? I’m willing to ignore this blemish on our relations so long as there are not an overt amount of abuses which will rile congress. I am curious as to how many slaves you currently have in your nation.

We are willing to open up negotiations for exchange between our peoples, our companies are fine suppliers of arms and automobiles. If you’d be willing to allow Noviet companies to trade free of charge inside your country I’d be more than happy to make generous contributions in ‘foreign aid’. Also of interest we could ‘lease’ a few acres of land from you if you were to allow a military installation on in your country, you’d need but to name a price.

Yes, I must admit, Mexican Union was refreshing, noob or not! Good post all round. Since my species is alien, I may post a RP thread on it later.

To Nova Hope: We have discussed this matter with the Emperor and he has said no, These slaves are peoples that have been defeated on our rise to power. By tradition and custom they are intergal to the Empire, to take them away would cause our collaspe. Also the Emperor wishes to announce according to this paper here that he is declering a festival to take place later to today in celebration of the Empire's good fortune so far in International Realtions." At this point Monectal takes a another gulp of water before continuing "One last thing folks, the Emperor also wishes to thank Dumpsterdam for defending us. A confused Major General opens the tophatch of his Rhino command vehicle and looks around.

After recieving the message that the Dumpsterdam troops were in New Tenochtitlan the Tlatoani (General) in charge of all Mexican forces in side the city dispatched a group of armored cars to lead them to the base.


Tlatoani Azaltan looked through the viewing slit of his Jaguar armored car and sighted the Dumpsterdam armor in distance. Picking up his radio he said "Okay I spoted the Dumpsterdam armor, move all armored cars to thier postion." 15 minutes later Azaltan opened the hatch at the top of the turret and and wigged out they should really design these things for bigger people he thought, once he managed to get out of the car Azaltan walked over to command vehicle and said " Hello friend I am Azaltan, general for the defense of New Tenochtitlan, I suppose you must be the Steel Legion that the Defense Dep. told me about." Nice tanks these people have thought Azaltan before continuing "Anywho I am to show you the way to your home while here, so follow me" with that Azaltan turned around and began to get back into his armored car, causing laughing all around yep I am most defenitly gonna shoot the stinker that designed this hatch he thought has he continued to struggle, finally succeding after 10 minutes of it. As he settled comfortably into his chair Azaltan turned on the radio and said "Okay you you crazy wheel nuts lets show our new friends to the base"

Without wasting any time the lead Jaguar drove up to the gate, its hatch opened and Azaltan stuck his head out. "This is Tlatoani Azaltan of New Tenochtitlan, I have come with the Steel Legion of Dumpsterdam, in order to lead them here, do we have permission to enter?" Azaltan waited for ten minutes, then a voice was heard from of the towers next to the gate "You may enter" this imeadiatly followed by a loud creeky, grinding, noise as the gate opened. Nodding his head Azaltan duck his head back inside the car and said "Hey!! Wheel jockey turn this thing around and head for lead vehicle in the Legion formation." The jockey nodded and turned the car around heading for the head of the Steel Legion column. After the car stopped Azaltan stuck his head out of the hatch and yelled "Okay you enter the base now friends, if ya need anything just use the seucre phone line my HQ in the main building" with that Azaltan duck back inside the car, settled comfromably in his seat and picked up the radio microphone "Okay guys lets head back to Tenochtitlan."

Although he would like to have experienced the entertainment of your maidens so fair, he is, as others might say, attuned to those of his own gender and of his own age.

On a seperate note, we would like to send our ambassador to your nation. His name is Sun Yen Ren and is quite liberated with his views. If you like, he is quite open to share your gift with the rest of his staff, given that this practice may only be practised on Mexican soil. An esourt will be provided for the delegation, and can act as the very transport for your ambassador as well. The only thing we would require is the location of your capital's airfield.

[Offical Statement to the World Wide Press regarding slavery in other nations.]


First and formost we feel it is important to note that general policy for Iuthia to be morally against slavery in the many forms it may take, from labour camps to general nation wide slaver... however in these cases we are opposed to such acts on humanitarian grounds; many slaves are worked to death and die young as a result of their forced labour.

However at the same time Iuthia greatly respects that nations have different cultures and more importantly the right to sovereignty; to rule themselves as their culture see fit. Afterall, many people don't like the idea of a Dictatorship and Iuthia is in effect, a dictatorship, albeit a benevolent one.

In anycase, we feel that while we don't like the fact that Slavery is a way of life in Mexica Union, we accept that it's how they do things over there and we will try to respect that as much as we can. Should Mexica Union prove that these "slaves" are well treated we shall see that there is no reason to penalise their nation from future trade oportunities in Iuthia.


More importantly however, we would like all would-be "liberators" to understand that Iuthia reckognises Mexica Union's right to rule their nation as they see fit and will make a point of penalising any nation which uses their culture as a reason for war... there are many ways to eventually change a nation, war only serves to turn the populace against you.

OOC: In otherwords, I don't want this nation annexed by someone who has a bigger nation and thinks that 5 lines of RP will do for an invasion thread... if these guys have bothered to put in the effort to RP a nation like this without going out of their way to anoy other nations then I expect better people to give them a chance and be fair.

Kudos to you Mexica Union, if only other new players put as much effort in we would have better RP experiences around here... unfortunatly everyone declares war at the drop of a hat these days. So long as you don't start anything with other nations and keep peaceful we will support you to some degree.

Others - n00bies are nations which haven't read the FAQ and don't bother to learn the basics of RP. Newbies are people who are new, but are willing to learn and do their best. Mexica Union is the latter.

I thank you for your promise of defense of our customs, should someone proclaim a war of liberation ( OOC: Let me know if was right to presume that) we are happy that despite your despite of dislike of slavery you are willing to open diplomatic realtion with us. On another point we will make a point to prove our slaves are well treated, we are apalled by the way that someone nations treat slaves, they are a result of the favour of Hetaipochnehutizi ( the ruling hall of the afterlife in Mexica), they should treated accordingly. It is law here in Mexica Union that slaves be treated nicely, except in cases of disobedience. This is deciced by a panal of thirty judges who hold hearings within the Hall of Justice, as there has not been any complaints it must be working well in preventing wide-speard abuse. We of the Imperial government do care very deeply for our slaves.

A young man raced down the corridor, down past the offices of the ministry of International Trade, National Trade, War, Alliances and others. Eventually the young man reached the door to the throne room and walked in, bowing to the Emperor. The Emperor regarded the young man with all of his years of moral character evalution under his belt. With the assitence of his helpers Cauthactatill IV stood and spoke "I am pleased with the current progress of the Ministry of Forgien Affairs, pacticturaly with the recent conculsion of talks with Iuthia." after this the Emperor looked pained and began to gasp for breath, this ended after three tense minutes. I am getting old, to old thought Cauthactatill IV if this goes on for much longer I will dead before next week is out shaking his head the Emperor turned his old eyes on the shocked looking young man before him. With a "hrmmph" the Emperor resumed talking " As I was saying I am pleased with the news from Iuthia, I want you to take this message to down to Moneactal and tell him to announce this" at this point the Emperor hands the still fearful young man a piece folded up paper.

Later

Moneactal looked down at the paper and thought Interesting, very interesting . A few moments later the classic news jingle played and Monceactal launched into happy-perky host mode. "Well Hello out there" he said "we have some exciting stuff for our adience out there in tonights edition of What is happening in the Nahua world . Our first order of buisness was suppopsed to be the story of the happy of conculsions of the Iuthia Talks" at this point it looks as though irtiaton has made to Moneactal's face "but instead we are going to cover a recent procomation from Emperor Cauthactatill IV on Iuthia" here Moneactal reached for his trusty glass of water and gulped it down before taking a piece of paper and reading it. "Well according to this the Emperor is now trading all surplus food not going to Dumpsterdam to Iuthia at a discounted price and is willing to import machinary." Well that is certainly interesting said Moneactal a 2 minutes later "Okay" he resumed with a gulp of water "now back to our main stories, talks conculded today.......
