KING DECLARED DEAD

Penpusher National News
June 12, 2004
-----------------------------
The Penpusher King Victor I was declared dead when he was being rushed to the Penpusher Catholic Hospital in Georgetown after he suffered a brief stroke. The people were not informed about the stroke, since this would cause national hysteria. When the King was declared dead on arrival, flags were lowered to half-staff around the nation, first in the hospital and royal palace. His reign lasted a great 50 years, and Prime Minister Smith, whose own condition has been worsening since he was wounded in the Second Penpusher War, has asked allies of the Penpusher Confederacy to lower their flags to half-staff. The heir to the throne is Prince Edward, and after his coronation, he will be then named King Edward II. After the funeral at the Georgetown Cathedral, his body will be taken to the Royal Crematorium, where he will be cremated. His ashes will be put in a gold urn, which will be then placed in the Royal Palace, along with the ashes of all the historical monarchs of the Penpusher Confederacy (and monarchs of the former states on the Penpusher Nation)
