(OOC:The purges begin...)
Speaking at the 23rd Conference of Naval Kommissars, Our venerable chairman alerted those present to the dangers facing our nation.
"Komrades, I stand here before you as our nation reaches a critical juncture. As we full well know, we are surrounded by enemies. The recent liquidation of the rebel 'Free Lasatanian' faction beared witness to this. So, in order to protect our great nation from overseas invasion, I have placed the People's Navy on full alert. Three new submarine squadrons have been formed. Two of them hunter-killer squadrons, the other a missle squadron. The latter gives us the ability to strike an any nation that dare threaten us, no matter how far away they are."
"I urge very sailor and officer in our fine navy to be extra vigilent. Beware the person who stares at the orders a little too long, beware the -person who whispers treacherous words into your ear, beware of the officer who disregards orders to save his own life. Be vigilant komrades! For our enemies will strike when we least expect it and we must be ready to hit back with deadly force.'
The hall rose to its feet and appluaded our great chairmans resolve. Many sailors raced out the hall and made public arrests of those who they suspected of subversive activity. StatSecSer forces arrived at many naval bases early in the morning to transport those suspected to detention centres for further interrogation.
In other news, building Kommissars have received their orders for the month. All Kommissars are requested to file their daily reports to their local ISA agent by 15:00 hours today.
