Death of a nation...(Semi-Open)

Communist Louisiana

A young congressman stands from behind the door and walks quietly to the front of the auditorium. He proceeds up the stairs as he hears no talkin or wispering. He walks behind the head microphone stand and stands looking down at his papers, then at the audience. He looks once more then begins to read the grim news

Ladies and Gentlemen... We have a terrible announcement. Premier DuFour has died last night. Autopsy by New Orleans Corners has show that he died of a heart attack probably in his sleep.

He stops and looks out into the pack auditorium then looks back down.

In his final testiment he has left specific directions for the "Peoples Congress" to take charge of all official duties until elections can be set up.

The crowd remains quiet as if holding their breath

As for his funeral and wait arrangements. The traditional mass funeral will be will begin where people can pay their last respects for a period of 2 days at Louisiana's old state capital building. Other announcements will pertain the the rest of the funeral arranges later today. A statement from the DuFour family is also expected to soon come.

'Damn' the President thought. 'He's dead... I hope there's not a revolution... eh, I gotta send them my pity.'

The President whispers to his butler to tell the Minister of Foreign Affairs to send them an official response. The butler nodded and headed to his office.

Never had a hard feeling come between Communist Lousiana and Blargistania and now, Hamion was here to honor the alliance, even in the face of death. After standing over the casket for several minutes and offering up prayers to the Invisible Pink Pony to watch over and protect the Premier's soul in the afterlife, Hamion began to attend his state duties.

In a small telegram, Hamion issued the following statement.

[i] Blargistania offers its condolences to the government, people, and family of Premier DuFour. We had none but the best of relations between nations and we wish to continue that tradition. The government of Blargistania would like to offer and strengthen its bonds of allaince with the People's Congress and the future Premier.
