The President of the Commonwealth of American Earth,

To all nations and peoples of the world:

You are invited to participate in the founding of the International Congress, an association of sovereign states who are troubled by the actions and agenda of the United Nations (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/09477/page=un).

The International Congress is intended to act as an alternative to the U.N. in an "unofficial" manner (only the United Nations receives recognition under the current rules of NationStates). Nations opposed to, expelled from, or hesitant to join the U.N. because of its policies are encouraged to participate in this historic endeavor.

In a few days, the First International Congress will be held, in order to further organize the association and to further establish the rules of the organization. Nations intending to participate are asked to voice their intentions in this thread, and are ecouraged to express their support or opposition in the poll.

ASW entirely supports this endeavor, and wishes to sign up for this International Congress.

Arribastan will support such a group and join if possible.

The Grand Duchy shall send a representative to the First International Congress to observe, and if necessary, participate.

The EOL is not one to support anything that would inhibit or violate the sovreignty of a nation. In a realist sense, international organizations such as these only hinder the rights and sovreignty of a nation and inhibit their abilty to do as they please.

The Terran Coalition is currently disgusted with the attacks on national sovereignty and the rampant immoral behavior of the "United Nations" and wishes to participate in this new alternative.

Official statement from a UN Nation:

Despite this backlash that we have received regarding this new formation of a governmental body for those of us opposed to the UN, I assume that to show we are genuinely serious about that implementing this as a part of our nations' integral whole, that we begin open deliberation about whatever prospects possible.

And regarding the implementation of policies, that will be determined, but we don't know when. But figure as much that we will find a method for implementation.
