This a RP about a world conflict between nations, each nation will take a real life country under their
control but use their own military in any actions. All forces going to be used must be declared at
the beginning of the game (excluding jeeps, personnel weapons etc). All new weapons must be stated to
being produced e.g. Argyllian Aircraft Industries have won a government contract for the production of
50 F-16 Fighting Falcons at the cost of 1 billion, the order is expected to be completed in 2 RL weeks
Also troop training must be declared and all movements kept realistic. The game will start after 3
people have signed up. Countries with no player can be taken without cost to encourage expansion.

I wish we were using the real militaries of the nations, but whatever... For this, Im going to use french equipment instead of chellian equipment(Which i made up). Anyways, I would like france, I will post numbers in a second(Will be strange having my military, seeing as my nation is 60 times more populous than france...)

id like to take norway. Even though i have several hundred times the population, i will use their modern forces bolstered by some THS soldiers(600,000 or so to be exact)

Norway kicks arse for defensive warfare, so beware if you attack. :P

Ok...military coming up, im using US military for ease of access to information on their equipment, not anything that i brought from nations on NS or future tech stuff(hehe, that would be cheating, you would all die)

Anyway 1.586 billion population...5% of that 79million, then 2% of pop is the reserve defence corp(ex-service people who left after 2years) then theres the other voluntary reserves, therefore about 110million people are in my military.

Numbers-

30 million in the standing army

18 in the army, 6 in the navy/airforce respectivly.

The army has 1028 divisions or so. These are 75% army, about fifteen percent Marine, the rest is Genderarmie and foreign legion divisions.

The regular army divisions are armed with normal French equipment(Famas's, LeClercs, 155m Caesars, etc).

The army divisions are made of about 20% armoured divisions, 20% Mechanized divisions, 20% Infantry Divisions, 20% Airbourne divisions, the rest being airbourne cavalry, specialized mechanized/armoured divisions, etc.

Divisions are typically 10-18k men.

Squads are from Eight to Eighteen, Platoons are usually 80 men or so, companys usually around Four hundred.

France retains the colonies it really has, New Caledonia, French Guiana, Corsica, etc.

The air units include about 30,000 air units of all types(France has about 500 aircraft of all combat types, not counting helicopters... Thats about right, equivilent to my army size/population.

About 200,000 ACV's, 45,000 Artillery pieces of all sorts, 62,000 Main Battle Tanks, 15,500 Helicopters, 8280 ships of all kinds, etc etc.

Also, please lord, no space tech. Thats just dumb.

Also, there is no Leopard III tank. Latest German tank is Leopard 2a6, and it is the best tank in the world.

The PM spoke first, 'Gentlemen we are faced by a time of crisis, prehaps the biggest we will face in our generation. Half the world is gearing for war, France and the US have started mobilising their troops and other nations are beginning to come to terms with the possible war. I propose we move all regular troops to red alert and start calling up the reserves'

The Chief of Army Staff replied 'On latest intellingence France has 1,000 divisions each as powerful as ours, where we only have 18. We can call up the regular reserve, that will add 9 Infantry Divisions to our strength'

'We will wait for other countries actions before we begin our own plan of expansion and invasion, in the mean time I want 2 Marine Divisions and a Light Infantry Division (Airborne capable) prepared for the invasion of Madagascar'

Yeah from experience it works better as we have no arguements about countries military strength

Alright my military is about 28 million men. 14 in Army. 6 in Air Force. 7 in Navy. 1 in Marines. Divisions are anywhere from 10-30,000 men. Most are in the 20-30,000 range. Germany has about 30,000 planes, 40,000 Artillery Pieces, 56,000 Tanks, 180,000 APCs, 15,000 Helicopters, 9000 ships.

OOC: I will be using American equipment because I am more familiar with it.

"Nonsense. We want to be friends with the british. They are the only real nuclear power we have to worry about, although russia is close. No, I believe we should focus on the economic powers of the world. Britain is strong, but Im thinking that Germany should be our largest concern, then Poland and Italy. After that, well, I believe we should expand through the baltic states and the eastern states of the old soviet union. Effectively, we should block off the nation from expanding, as the growing soviet economy and military is quite troubling.

Here is what I wish to do. First, start a series of diplomatic conferences with Germany, Poland, Belarus, and Ukraine. Tell them we want to think of creating a European Great Plain alliance, though it will be a sham. We will make the alliance, hopefully, but will get say germany to attack us, and then attack germany... The rest will follow, and we will look like the victims of a large alliance, although we will surely beat them.

Also, start sending special operatives into spain. The socialists are in power, something which could turn out very badly. I dont want to see their leaders anymore. Dismissed."Chirac said, taking a leave, to go to his bedroom.

My military is about 20 million. 8 in the Army, 2 in the Marines, 6 in the Navy, 4 in the Air Force. Britain also retains its colonies like Gibralter, Falklands,etc.

Mine's about...*thinks* 63.5 million overall. About 12.6 million standing. Still working out all the organisations.

OOC: If you want to talk overall, I've got about 140 mil.... But only 30 mil standing... In chellis, everyone wants to be a reserve, you never really get called but you get to fire guns and get money...

The South African Naval Base at Port Eizabeth was very busy, ships being loaded with munitions and armoured vehicles being put on the massive LPD's and LPH's. Helicopers and small ships ferried supplies to and frow from the shore line out to the ships in the narrow channel.
2 whole Amphibious task groups where preparing for action, nearly 100 ships had to be readied and put to sea within the next 24hrs, the port had its work cut out. Suddenly a flight of two harriers roared overhead before landing on Ocean Class Helicopter Carrier SAS Rock of Gibraltar.
At the nearby military airport the huge AM400 transport planes where being fueled up and their pilots briefed on the plan. Elements of the 1st Light Infantry Division where just reaching the aerodrome and immeaditly started loading onto the huge planes.
Operation Hussar would kick off in less than 48 hrs and at the end of it South Africa would a very mineral rich country.
