Somewhere in Antarctica, 22 hours before start of exercise

Captain Alexi Padorin of the 1st Rodinan APU Corps rotated the torso of his three meter tall APU.
"Comrade General, should we not be getting ready?"
The General sat atop his AR-130 Sabretooth tank, bored.
"It's not for another day. Ve have time. I've already sent the 2nd APU and 3rd Armoured to their area. The first and second marines are beginning to deploy, but we can't do anything else until word comes from New Moscow."
The captain spun his 30mm machine gun/grenade launcher.
"So we're using just laser sights, right? No live ammo?"
"Da. Your computer vill calculate damage."

Keiran Slazzarch was in the command post, looking at the battle scene around him. His army was ready and it was working like a well oiled machine. His army of technicians was working around the clock to get the army moving and it was running well. Everything was in place.
"What do we do now?" Samuel asked Keiran. Keiran smiled.
"...Now," He said to her, "...We wait."

The Fourth Rodinan Armoured rolled into position two-hundred and twenty-five miles from the Kikoskriat outpost. The third APU corps and the first Rodinan Marines were with them.

"I don't like this. We shouldn't be waiting for them to make the first move. They've got the numerical advantage, we should have the element of surprise."
The tank commander whapped the speaker upside the head.
"Idiot, it's an exercise. They know we're coming. Hell, the capitalists probably know we're right here. Leave it to a capitalist to cheat at an exercise."

Keiran sighed. The lookouts had seen no one yet... well, no one that they didn't know was there already. He looked around and blinked.
"...You think they'll attack first?" Keiran asked Samuel.
"No idea sir," Samuel replied, "We have the numbers. If we wanted, we could simply encircle them and squish them." Kerian sighed.
"Boy, you know NOTHING about war." He told the man.

Several lights flashed and the overheads dimmed. That was the signal.

"Alright, all ahead! Put us at a good 20 mph! Gunner, get ready. All guns loaded!"

The Fourth Rodinan Armoured, third APU corps, and the first Rodinan Marines began moving south towards the Kikoskriat camp. Two hundred miles south of said camp, their heat signiatures masked by a glacier, sat the third armoured, first and second APU, and the first, second and third mechanized infantry. They too began moving, putting the Kikoskriats in a pincerhold.

Samuel sighed as he looked at the radar and scanning systsems.
"They have a pincer movement on us. They're trying to get us to be pinned down." Keiran smiled.
"That only works if the person you're trying to pin is stupid," Keiran told Samuel, "We have the large guns, meaning we don't have to move anywhere.We have tanks fast enough to counter any place they choose to attack. We have far more numbers then they do, meaning we can simply repel thier attacks if they are foolish enough to split up thier already tny force. We stay put."

The army was already deployed in a good fashion. Fire split straight down the middle, the army was still one but facing both ways, half facing towards the The Fourth Rodinan Armoured, third APU corps, and the first Rodinan Marines and the other half towards the third armoured, first and second APU, and the first, second and third mechanized infantry. IN the middles were the mechs, waiting to plug any gaps. As soon as the two forces got in range of the guns, the Howitzers, Abomination tanks, Deomon Mechs and Rift Mechs all started to fire at full rate, bombarding the Rodina forces with a constant barrage of heavy fire. Meanwhile, the infantry were ready for conflict if it came.

The first line of Sabretooths and AR-290s slowed as the artillery shells rained down on them.

"Cocky bastards, aren't they?"
"Da, Comrade Colonel."
"Alright. Show 'em some good ol' fashioned Rodina engineering! FIRE!"

The 3000 AR-310 Missile Tanks of the Fourth Armoured each fired a pair of Hellfire missiles at the artillery, quickly firing another pair at a different piece. The Third Armoured did the same.
