The congress of the fed union has passed a law to place an Embargo and sanction’s on McLeod03 these will take affect immediately and to enforce this embargo the fed union has dispatched a fleet to blockade McLeod03 These ships include :
5 New York class super battleships
5 Boston class battle ships
15 Augusta missile destroyers
15 defender class vassals
10 Sea wolf class attack subs
10 Virginia class attack subs
10 hammer head class subs
10 Ohio trident 2 subs
5 nexus carriers (each escorted buy 2 defenders)
5 Nimtiz carriers (each escorted buy 2 defenders)
10 Lexington class heavy cruisers
15 Perry class frigates
15 Seagull class frigates

This action has long been necassary to deal with the imperialist ventures of Mcleod. The government applauds this action.

The Republic of Ozymandias IV insists that the Fedral Union withdraw its illegal blockade of McLeod at once.

This illegal disruption of free trade between the Republic and McLeod shall not go unopposed.

A pair of Spruance class destroyers will escort the next automobile transport ship heading for McLeodian port. Any attempt by the Fedral Union to halt or turn back that ship will be considered an act of war.

The Ruling Council of the Republic urges the Fedral Union leadership to reconsider its rash and illegal action. Boycott McLeod products if you must, but do not impose your government's policies on neutral parties with this illegal blockade.

[font size=+2]OOC:[/font size] I have always considered telegrams OOC unless specifically called IC> What i didn't count on was Doomingsland crying to TFU about it.

I repeat again, the plan was to convince him to attack TFU's carriers then absolutely slaughter Doomingsland in the conflict and beyond. Didn't allow for tell-tales in the planning though.

Admiral Jules Hilton surveyed the latest NIRSSAT scan of the Fedral fleet.

"Hmm. Send the Venerable and her escorts further west. Have them patrol the border, nice and close. Victorius is to try and move further north, then head west. Send Vengeance due west of their current positions." he said to his communications officer.

The three battle groups effectively boxed in the Fedral Union fleet on their northern, southern, and eastern sides, leaving only room for them to manouevre west, without appearing overly threatening.

In a news release earlier today the Galadisian government confirmed its support of the Fedral Union government. HPEH James the Sorta-elven made an official announcement as follows:

"Greetings. It has come to my attention that the nation of McLeod is indirectly responsible for the attacks upon the ships of our ally The Fedral Union. This is clearly the act of an irresponsible and war-mengering government and we support the Fedral Union in any action they make take. It greatly saddens me to report that a Galadisian fleet is now gathering in international waters outside of McLeod and will finish gathering before moving to support the Fedral Union vessels in the area pending a formal discussion between us. Again I am saddened to engage in this course of this of action but this war mongering must not be allowed to continue."

The Kingdom of Crookfur is most displeased to see such actions being taken against our long time ally.

As such the 6th and 9th POFs have been deployed to the area for manouvers with our Mcleodian counter parts. Also as part of ongoing testing of new Weaponary offered to the CAP 2 sqaudrons of Super Vulcans and a alrge shipment of heavy weaponary is being prepared for shipment.

As the Galadisian ships continued to gather several Galdisian intelligence representatives attempted to enter both McLeod and The Fedral Union posing as innocent tourists. With any hope they would be able to gain some intelligence to support actions against McLeod.

Oh shit, was running through my mind as an aide handed me the latest report. As the press corps (Force save me from them) surrounded me, they bombarded me with questions.
"President Masaki, we need a statement from you..."

I knew what to say. I held up my hand to quiet them. "The Federal Union and the Kingdom of McLeod03 must sit down at the negotiating table and prevent this war from breaking out. Shedding blood is not the way to peace. That's my statement for now. Thank you, and good night."
As the press tried to get more out, I walked back through the Gardens. Beautiful flowers and grass from all over the galaxy swayed in the breeze.

The automobile transport ship neared McLeodian waters with the destroyers Starling and Thrush maintaining escort position on either side.

"This is the automobile transport ship Commerce broadcasting to all ships in the vacinity of McLeod that we are not armed and will proceed to port to deliver our cargo. Any attack on this vessel will be considered an act of war against the Republic of Ozymandias IV and will be met with force in-kind."

After the captain read his message he burned the Ministry of State communique and took a long sip of black tea.

The helmsman and navigator exchanged nervous glances as the ship with its two escorts steamed on towards confrontation...
