The clamps slowly broke off from the weapon relaeasing it with a small ammount of velocity, drifting in Real space the small crew of only 5 shivans began to power up the systems. The temporal cores were online and functioning normally. The primary ignition coils were in alignment and the subspace drives were ready to be used. The prototype powered up it's drives and entered a subspace corridor leading to earth.

Ten Hours later a subspace portal was forming 1km away from earths atmosphere out apeared the prototype. Within eight seconds the probe had opened fire tearing a 2km deep 5km wide hole from Washington D.C to the Antarctica. The probe made it it's business to go through all the major populated cities. fourty five seconds later the probes primary weapon overloaded causing it to self destruct spreading it's atmoic particles accross the sol system.

((I recommend, if you don't want to be ignored by the 100+ Earth future tech nations, that you choose a different location for this prototype... You must remember that not everyone is in the ESUS))

Not to mention the fact that a big part of my fleet is being mustered there so you would be in fore quite a shock.

[Such a weapon would completely destroy Earth and furthermore you gave absolutely no chance to destroy this thing. This, to be totally blunt, is a classic godmod and is going to get this event, if not you yourself, IGNORED.]

My nation's terrestrial homeland is sitting under a planetary-grade umbrella shield, and orbital defences are always on warm standby under AI control. You couldn't tough Kanuckistan with that pea shooter and you'd've been under fire inside of 6 seconds.

Aside from this is the issue of ballance; this weapon is a totally unballancing godmod in it's capibilities. Makes for crappy RP, both in the 'I nuke j00' sense, and in the fact that you'd have devistated countless futuretech nations to the point of oblivion, and without atleast a decent RP to show for it, virtually no one is willing to take those kind of casualties. Hence, you'd be mass-ignored, and anyone trying to RP this sequence of events into their nation's continuum would be ignored along with you, cutting them off from RPing with any but a handfull of other nations.

Earth itself is effectivly invincible for this very reason; you'd have to arrange a massive RP with just about every future tech nation around to pull something like that off without being massivly ignored, because no one wants to be a hapless casualty in someone else's war.

DGNT forces are normally pretty paranoid, but in the recent Kyrr recursion there are around five hundred ships in Earth orbit, thats plus orbital and ground defences.
Watcher class ships would have detected this thing within a few seconds of its charging, and twenty ships would have sent lots of energy toward it.

What? Why is fragging Earth necessary to start constructing a larger version? You should have tested it on someone's outpost or something, rather than claiming to have killed over 80% of the population of the most heavily deffended planet in the fricken universe.

Considering the fact that you never gave us a chance to defend ourselves against it, this is IGNORED.

If it took longer than 55 seconds to tare that giant hole, I'd consider it ok. However, you have made it way too fast, so it is ignored by Penguenia for the moment.

The EOL just prefers to launch its LGM-175A Armageddon ICBM with a 1 Giga-Ton warhead crafted with some fine alien technology found on a downed UFO. I tell you, RP in X-Files crap and you can do a whole lot.

technically, we could just detect the rift before the thing came in, determine it hostile at the beginning of its attack, and shoot it of the sky with a big ass railgun or two.

I am currently trying to set myself up slowly as a future tech race. I consider myself borderline. I have been posting my acomplishments for everything I have done over the past couple months so I can prove I possess what I say I possess.

Where did you post your research of this supposed prototype? Do you have any links that point to your R&D?

If you don't then the link I posted above definately needs to be read.
