Yesterday ushered in the beginning of a unified Ottoman Alliance with the conclusion of voting for the President. In a close race between Credonia and Ottoman Sultan, Ottoman Sultan, for reasons unknown drpped out of the race, leaving the job to Credonia, who played a major part in the organization of the alliance prior to elections. At this time a Presidential cabinet consisting of Minister of Intelligence, Minister of Defense, Minister of Treasury, and Minister of Membership is being put together. The Current Congressional Speaker elected to office is Praetonia, winning the election by a 6-1 landslide, scoring an automatic 6 nation majority, this winning the election.

President Alexander Suton of Credonia delivered the following speech to the Ottoman Alliance some hours ago:

"Members of the Ottoman Alliance, it is a great exaltation to be the first elected President and leader of this newly formed democratic institution. I would like to thank those who voted for me in the polls. Without you, it would not have been as remotely possible to win the election. To Ottoman Sultan, who turned out to be more supported than I had originally suspected despite my efforts towards establishing this alliance and your lack of a political platform, I overestimated you and have been brought back to the realization that popularity still plays a major role in who wins today's elections. Popularity and loyalty, never take those factors for granted. Lesson learned.

To the alliance body of nations, now known as Congress, with the powers of this position come the burdens of responsibility. The inherent responsibility bestowed upon me by this position of great power and authority will be lived up to. As the first elected President of the Ottoman Alliance, what I do, how I act, and the actions I take will affect this alliance for as long as it remains in existence and will set an example for all future Presidents to follow. It is my duty and pledge to leave a lasting positive legacy for all future Presidents to live up to and to fulfill that will make this a powerful and influential alliance within the international community. The tasks and duties placed before me, however daunting, will be thoroughly analyzed, prioritized, and completed, adding to the greatness of this alliance. It is my goal to make this alliance into one, positively looked upon in the international community within two Presidential terms or less.

On a more domestic note, I shall make it the policy of the alliance while under my administration that we be active within the international community, but at this time, not on a military level. I will build this alliance and its members, I will take initiatives that move us towards positive development and progression, I will build the alliance's reputation, and most importantly, I will encourage, inspire, and foster increased levels of inter-alliance unity and prosperity and I will draw nations in to help the alliance grow and prosper.

As President of the Ottoman Alliance, I will set the bar and define what it mans to be an Ottoman Alliance President. In addition, as President, I will ensure that my vision is fulfilled within three weeks at most, but I cannot do it without you, the ones who have granted me the power to do this. I need your help in accomplishing this, for it is you all who holds the true power, the members of the Ottoman Alliance, so I ask you, help me establish the OA as one of the greatest alliances to hit the international stage. Thank you and God bless the Ottoman Alliance."
