The nation's first stem cell bank has opened in West Cooper state, director Jon Kunis announced in a press conference earlier this week. "We are very pleased that stem cell technology has been widely accepted by the population, this is a major step in conquering debilitating diseases," Kunis said at the conference.

Stem cells are cells that have the remarkable potential to develop into many different cell types in the body. Serving as a sort of repair system for the body, they can theoretically divide without limit to replenish other cells for as long as the person or animal is still alive. When a stem cell divides, each "daughter" cell has the potential to either remain a stem cell or become another type of cell with a more specialized function, such as a muscle cell, a red blood cell, or a brain cell.

All stem cells that are collected have been collected with consent from the donors, former President Richard Evan outlawed the possibility of cloning human embryos for the purpose of 'stem cell farming.'

In the law, Richard Evan quoted that "All human life created is valuable, no matter if disability or other ailments effect that life. Creating human life with the intention of destroying it is against any value that I hold to my heart and many others hold to theirs, it is also murder even if that being is unable to live on it's own."
