Sarzonia

These were originally in the Wilmington Shipyard Corp storefront but have been removed. Anyway, these are three ships of Sarzonian design.
The Alliance-class is named to honor the great alliances we have, particularly our close relationship with the United Kingdom of Isselmere-Nieland. [OOC: It is also named after the Revolutionary War frigate that remained in service for a couple of years after the Revolutionary War. This ship is based loosely on the Alaska class large cruisers, which were built to be "cruiser killers" and sported 12-inch guns. That class seemed to be a send-up of the German pocket battleships.]
The Randolph-class is named to honor the great American frigate that valiantly battled a ship of the line during the [RL] Revolutionary War. Its 9 inch guns are heavier than even the standard deployment of 8 inch guns for most heavy cruisers. [OOC: It's based somewhat roughly on the Baltimore-class heavy cruisers in the U.S. Navy during World War II.]
The new Ithaca-class is a light cruiser that is perfect for your escort needs and can be used to battle pirate ships if needed. [OOC: It's not named after any particular ships; the design is based on the Cleveland-class light cruisers in the U.S. Navy but with three triple turrets of 6 inch guns as opposed to the four triple turrets on the Cleveland-class. The ships are designed to be very tough. Ships from that class withstood kamikaze attacks and the U.S.S. Houston survived being torpedoed twice.]
