A new bio-engineered species (the Lusterites) were created by An unknown nation. These creations have only one purpose - destroy all non-human intelligent beings, disincluding themselves. Each lusterite has a self-destruct function which destroys any enemy non-human species(with an approximatel 0.1 kilometres range) (100 metres). The current species on the kill list are -

Shivans
Species 1
Hive

Please TG or post with any information about other species. 1255 lusterites have been dispatched to destroy shivan leaders. Lusterites are impervious to low-power weapons (eg - most weapons that can be carried by hand) most ships, tanks ect will destroy a lusterite in appoximately 3 hits of laser weapons. Any nation wishing to purchase some lusterites, the price is $4,000 each. Cloning tanks to produce your own lusterites are 500,000,000 dollars. The lusterite design has not been perfected, and therefore could probably be modified by alien races to help them. A lusterite destroyer - essentially designed to destroy Shivan ships(we have not got round to designing ships for other species) are equipped with -

7,500 luster cannons - very weak, but are designed to destroy shivans.
1 NOVA planet killer- only kills planets with 40%+ shivan population .
55 million dollars


OOC: i created this species, as it seems to me that alien species (escpecially ones that have 1 ship per person) are way to strong. I hope to slightly balance the playing field (may only be a feather unto a boulder, yet eventually)

'So the Swarms are at risk?' Inquired the Lord Mayor of The Scarecrows. She lounged back onto her desk, oblivious to the beautiful backdrop behind her. It was a massive dark formation of proto-planetary matter. It occluded the young star burning brightly, and light shafts, planet sized things, threw off a spectacular light show.

Current Location of the Scarecrow Fleet: Poplyd formation 22. Peripheral of known human space. Currently, the fleet had begun setting up trade relations with an alien species, (which shall remain nameless) hence its location.

'Most likely. The Hive Swarm, and several other alien species are at risk.' Confirmed the man.

'If they attack the Hive Swarm at Tau, or the S-14 colonies...' She didn't need to finish. The reaction of the alien species could be very dire for all involved. Not to mention the already very paranoid races that The Scarecrows had negotiated with could close all trade relations. That would leave The Scarecrows in a very precarious position. Not to mention start an all out war.

'Indeed Lord Mayor. What should we do?'

'Nothing.'

'Nothing?' Came the incredulous reply.

'We're part of an Alliance now. We must honour our allies. Whatever happens, we will wait. And watch.' She sniffed, and sat back. She turned and lifted her brown eyes to the window.

'Continue. What's next in business.' She demanded in her quiet, intense way. Outside, A'tuin continued to conduct its business. The immense cityship glistened like a cyan teardrop beyond the blood red Proplyd.
