The USN will be holding a Special Forces wargame on one of its islands. You are allowed to bring 30 people to this wargame. Before we start you need to post what forces you are sending. You should bring your own weapon, muntions and supples. There will be weapon and supply caches on the island but you will have to find them on your own.

No outside help, once your forces are inserted you cant call for help from the outside(an example is lazing a target for a airstrike.)

No God-Modding. If you are going to god-mod, find yourself another RP.

Please at least have an small understanding of SpecWar tactics. If you dont thats ok, and you can still play, but at least ask questions if you dont understand a particular tactic. I will be able to answer most of the time.

The United States of Nighthawk will be deploying the following forces
15 SFOD-Delta(Delta Force)
15 Navy SEALs

Ferratus would like to participate by sending 15 of the 94th Airborne Division, and 15 of the Elite Phoenix Guard. Should we bring our own blanks and MILES equipment, and will we be allowed to drop our troops in from C-17's, or should they arrive and land at an airfield?

i should note that ive never rp ed before but i do have a supreme knowledge of sf tactics and equipment. i will bring the following forces

4 fireteams of sas
3 fireteams of vatacan guard (not real i know but they are holy)
1 airdropped hummer with 2 personel and a mrk 40 grenade launcher

I am sorry i wasnt able to RP last night. Right after i posted, i had to turn off my computer because there was a lot of T-storm activity in my area. If anyone is intrested in playing tonight, you are more then welcome to come and post. We will get started as soon as everyone is ready. Here are some more of the wargame specs

The island is cover in rugged jungle. Think Vietnam on a 5 sq mile island. Some beachs, some cliffs.

The goal is to be the last team standing

No vehicles are allowed. The heaviest weapons you can bring are, M-60s, SAWs, 40mm mortar, RPGs, LAWs, or anything else like that. So dont say you are airdropping a 105mm arty piece.

So, sending Vehicle Troop, Alpha Squadron, 1st SAS Regiment is out of the question, then? After all, they're exclusively mounted on long wheel-base Land Rover 4x4s, armed with a mix of machine guns (.50-cal forward-firing, rear-firing MAG-58 ), ATGM (MILAN and TOW) and M-19 40mm automatic grenade launchers.

Actually, the lighter you are, the slower you are. But you're a lot quieter...

Vehicles are prohibited for this exercise. The ground we will be operating on would make vehicles slower. Its too rough

And now that i think about it you are right, i am thinking about the bigger your unit, the slower you are

But most of the time, i have notice SpecWar units dont carry heavy weapons like mortars or M-60s. Those are crew operated weapons. Since some SpecWar teams operated in small 4 man unit or even 2 man units, having a crew served weapon doesnt make sense. Thats why you see SAWs in SpecWar. They pack alot of punch, and they arent crew operated. Most of the time, they arent going to have the time to set up something like a mortar.

So, will these wargames be using live rounds? Or are we expected to bring blanks and MILES equipment?

were sending 4 battalions of the elite Wulai Dragon guard(22nd Wulai Peoples Army Division)(armed with Katanas,and a silenced AK-47s,and black kevlar stealth fatigues)
40 Wulai royal marines all armed with silencd AK-80s(newest automatic assualt rifle with laser sights and an attachable grenade launcher) arriving by parachute from an allied C-130 aircraft

And i believe your question earlier was about using an airfield. There are no structures on this island. You will have to airdrop in, or insert via the sea.

I have a good knowledge of small unit SF tactics and weapons.

How does one play this part of the game? :D

Ferratus has deployed 30 of the Elite Phoenix Guard, they are enroute to the area. They will drop in from one C-17 globemaster of the 1st Airlift Group. They will be arriving just in time for the start of the games.

You RP it, you say what you troops are doing

couldnt you give OICWs to all your men,after all,its an offensive INDIVIDUAL assault rifle

OOC: It is the standard assualt rifle of my armed forces, but that's besides the point. There remains situations where one needs a 200 round box magazine and not a 30 round clip, or for that matter some 7.62 ammo that can be delivered at a distance. Hence the SAWs and M-98.

Plus, I don't want my demo-expert to carry to much weight, so I give him/her the lighter M-4 carbine.

Needless to say, everyone carries some handgrenades, service pistol and such... Dummied for MILES, of cource.

You RP it, you say what you troops are doing

A four man recce element will HALO onto the island from a military transport. These four will be armed with Silenced MP10 SD3's and various types of Flashbangs and grenades (frag/ smoke ect)

The rest of the troop are coming from the sea via submarine insertion.

They are similerly armed with the exception of Several M4's and one sniper/ observer team armed with a PSG-1 and MP10 SD for the observer.



The recce element is jumping now...

1 Sniper Team(3 guys)
2 Fire Teams of THSSOP(4 guys per team)
2 Airdropped LAVs(basically a hummer, our variant) with crew of 3 each and 1 .50 caliber machine gun on each, for use as a ammo depot and base of ops.
2 Fire Teams of THSSOADS(4 guys per team)
5 support crew(2 medics, 3 replacements.)

That ammounts to 30. if your math comes up otherwise, please advise.
Sniper Armament: 1 .50 Caliber Sniper Rifle(classified make), 1 .39 caliber silenced Covert Corp. Sniper Rifle for the two marksmen on the team. 1 hand chosen side arm(pistol, one guy has a silenced mini-uzi... He grew up in a gang.) with the third Operative with a M406 THS standard rifle, with sight and silencer.
THSSOP Fire Team Armament: Every man issued a standard .9 mm pistol with silencer. 2 riflemen on each team have a silence M406 THS standard Rifle. the 1 Heavy Weapons specialist on the team has a light SAW(classified make, 7.62). the Team leader and Demo Specialist has a standard M406 and customized explosives.
THSSOADS Armament: the 2 Heavy Weapons specialists on the team have an Auto pistol, silenced, and a light SAW(classified make, 7.62). 1 Rifleman has a standard M406 and standard 9 mm pistol, silenced. 1 demo specialist has a non-standard SMG 9mm (GG tech 9mm SMG) and a standard 9mm pistol, silenced.

Every man on each team or group has excessive non-range fighting techniques and also has a small blade if non-range fighting is the only option availiable. All have been battlehardened.

my 15 SEALs are carring a mixed load. 14 M-16s with M-203 grenade launchers, 1 SAW, and 15 9mm pistols and 2 handgrenads each
My 15 Delta Force are carrying 10 M-4 carbines with opticals mounted on the optics railing, 2 M-40 sniper rifles, and 3 SAWs. They are also all carrying .45 SOCOM pistols and 4 handgrenades each. Everyone is carrying combat knives and claymores

The Holy Saints your LAV is not permitted in this exercise

A lone C-130 circles near the island, out the back 30 forms jump out. When they hit the water, they start the mile swim to the beach. When the get there they hike a mile into the jungle and set up a CP and defensive postions.

In the central of the island in a well concealed postion, 2 snipers from Delta Force start to scan the island for enemy troops

... ok, so just the men, extra ammo and some extra equipment for the extra men(2 medics and now 9 replacements.)

The SFG3 is deployed to the island in a converted VTOL helicopter launched from their home craft. Landing, they unpack their initial gear, and check to make sure they took everything with them they needed, while the helicopter is still there. Finding everything satisfactory, their leader, Lt. Col. James G. Newhaus, heads to find who to check in with to start the games.

In the CP, Maj. Gary Ruit looks over a map of the island. He contacts the sniper team to tell them to watch for enemy very well. A double click on the radio confirms they heard him.

All the men started to cover themselves with foliage from the jungle. The all pull on NVGs

As all 30 men began their jump into the shallow water off the island, off a Helo, they prepared for the hard fights that lay in store for them. The snipers prepped their equipment upon landing and began to look for a cliff or protected rise to set up operations and get ready to look for enemies. the 4 teams of SF men began to head into the close-by forest to get cover for their small HQ, with the extra men and medics, along with the extra equipment in tow. The snipers signalled they had found a spot and began quietly trudging towards their objective.

M.M.S.V. Olympic ( a sub) has had the island under observation for roughly eight hours and is making final preperations for an "approach for seaborn deployment" operations.

(M.M.S.V. Merovin, Military, Submerging, Vessel)

The main body will be deploying from the sub to shore in 18 man Zodiac Assault craft with silenced outboard engines. Once on the beach the boats will be partially deflated and hidden. The main force will move forward to link up with the recce element via satellite radios.

The entire force will then deploy and move toward the objective, beginning to lay out ambush positions.

A small 4 man team from Delta Force begins to recce the island looking for the enemy.

The green light beside the door flashes on and Cpt. Michael Brown jumps out the door of the C-17 cruising at 30,000 feet. He plummeted towards the earth, in freefall for almost two minutes before he pulled the ripcord and drifted slowly for the remaining few thousand feet. He hit the ground softly, the rest of his 10 man squad close behind. He knew the other three squads would be doing the same thing in diferent locations in the area. He motioned to his squadmates to drop their parachutes and continue into the forest. He raised his G36K to his shoulder and took point. Hearing noise infront of him he motioned for the squad to stop and continued ahead. Hearing gunshots he dove to the ground. Behind him he could hear the sound of his squad's G36's firing. He heard the telltale beeping of a MILES system signaling a hit to his left....

Deep in the jungle the men set up their base and begin forming a perimiter, with the snipers not far away on a small bluff with an eagle eye of the area. As the 9 extra men began to set up ther own spots along the new perimeter, the 4 other teams commed the snipers for info on the surrounding area.

The snipers look towards the gunfire and see bright flashes of light and quickly directed their attention to it, taking small covered potshots at people moving around in the area.

The Beach insertion has gone flalessly and the main bodyhaving hidden their Zodiac Assault Boats have linked up with the recce element. The unit moves inland to find a CP area and begins to form a plan and movenet and search pattern for the excercise.

The two-man sniper element is deployed to the east of the main position and begins to conduct a visual recce of the immediate area of operations and looking for movement from any other forces.

The Command element contacts Merovin JSOCA via satalite uplink and receivesfinal permission to conduct offensive operations in the area.

The game is on...

A sniper hears gun fire, he looks over and sees muzzle flashes. he taps his spotter on the head and points, then shakes his head and pulls his hand swiftly across his throatthe Wulai forces charge towards a large bluff hoping to get there fast enough to have a scope on the area and try to flee from the Blackhawk forces

"Sir," said liutennant Johnson, "We've eliminated a small 3 man squad from The Holy Saints, but lost Peterson and Williams."
The Captain nodded and continued staring into the forest ahead of him. He heard a single shot, then *BEEEEEEEP* "Damnit," he said, sitting down after his MILES system signaled that he was dead.

The Manarthian troops pack up, realizing that the games are begining. Newhaus, using the map and gps he brought, IDs a small wooded area near the IP.

He motions to his men to follow him into the woods, and stations them to cover the possition. Snipers towards the outside of the woods.

He looks at the map.

Newhaus: Now, if I know topography, I'd want to hold these hills here. Nice foliage cover... hight advantage... clearing for half a mile around...

He motions to Capt Tanner, the leader of Squad 2.

Newhaus: Tanner, I want your men at point. We're going for the first hill on the map, and I want to be the first group that makes it there. If not, we recon the area and move on. It's last man standing, so lets make sure we don't start a fight until we have to.

Tanner and Squad 2 move out towards the hill, with Squads 1 and 3 running to the right and left of them and slightly behind, throught he small wooded area.

IC: after getitng no response from the snipers, one of the teams of THS SOADS begins quickly moving towards the area where the snipers were.
They encounter a small force and silently engage, killing several.

(Ferratus, i do believe that you just god-modded by calling out the enemy losts without them saying it themselves.)

The 4 man patrol sees a group of people and spreads out around them. They fired off a full mag then melted back into the jungle

The sniper element manages to locate and report on a large body of men moving in tactical formation along a trail roughly 300 meters from the Merovin SAS base.

As the SAS rush to set up a hasty ambush the sniper team is told to observe and report, but not to engage at this time.

The four man recce element is moveing carefully toward the large unidentified body of men, with the SAS main body not far behind.

They are almost at the trail...

2 of the Wulai's try to egde unnoticed past the Blackhawk sniper,while a sniper is set up on the bluff watching the enemy's movements

Captain Smith, of Charlie squad, now commander of the Phoenix Guard participating in the wargames glanced at his handheld GPS unit. The 4 squads, although nearly invisible in the forest, stood guard around his position.
"Waypoint Theta," he said to the leaders of Alpha, Bravo and Delta squads," is 1 klick to the east. That's where we'll set up our defensive peremiter. Bravo flank the the north, Delta to the south, I'll take charlie straight in. Alpha will cover us from waypoint Gamma."
"Yes sir."
"Roger, lets move."

IC: the third member of the sniper team silently whispers, 'bogey, turn around, and fire in to the forest, silenced.'
the small puffs of smoke and slight *pop* from the guns rang aloud in the dead silent forest as the team emptied several clips into the area around them, then, as they saw contingents of their own moving in nearby, called for aid before being killed.

The 28 men of the USN Det-Alpha are all sitting in their foxholes, listening to the sounds of war. they are camied up with branchs and grass. Their faces blacked out with paint. The snipers on the hill are wearing ghillie suits

Tanner's squad spied the NightHawkians a second too late. Despite the fusilage of fire, only one of the group was eliminated, a OICW soldier from Fireteam 5. The squad responded, fireing dummy grenade rounds after the fleeing soldiers, hoping they hit someone.

Newhaus: Not good, they know our possition. New plan, we head for the west most hill. Double time, Squad 3 in front.

The recce element is almost on the trail when they realize that there are forces in the woods to either side of the trail and if they stay in this position they run the risk of being flanked and cut off.

The Recce leader makes contact with the force commander who directs the recce unit to back off and withdraw in contact until the main body can set an ambush.

The sniper is now told to engage the unknown unit and drw the attention away from the recce unit.

The sniper targets a man size shadow and opens fire...

One of the men in the 4 men patrol takes a hit and is out of the game. Another is ruled as injured by the grenade and is taken to the makeshift BAS back at the CP which has been names Camp Freedom

Admiral Fu Liang(on the bluff) signals the 2 soldiers to fire at the sniper once they flanked behind him....

Arriving at waypoint Theta, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta squads set up a perimeter at the edge of the large clearing, waiting for someone to enter the open area. Alpha squad covered the area from an elevated position 200 meters to the west.

SSGT Wallace of Fireteam 8 grunts as a loud highpitched sqeal erupts in his helmet. The Merovian shot was on the mark.

Capt Gorgidas of Squad 3 directs his men to fire at the source of the attack, while he the rest of the Manarthians attempt to extract themselves from an attack on both sides.

another of the THSSOADS teams begins to make a recon round around the island, seeing as they lost their sniper team. They begin to silently move out and continue in a zig-zag pattern to reach the opposite side, scanning for and combatting bogeys along the course, hoping to report a better lie of the land than their GPS can give.

Admiral Liang then signals for the rest of the squad to advance into a small river being overlooked by the hill to suppress any fire upon the two Wulai Dragons

The Merovin SAS sniper/Observer team is engaging the unknown force when they hear a number of noises behind them, turning they see the shadows of several men advancing toward their position. they quickly slide away through the underbrush, made almost invisible by their ghillie suites and caling the contact as they go.

Now, the recce element must go to ground as there is no longer a sniper team to cover their withdrawel.

The main body is in an "L" ambush along the trail...

The snipers of Alpha squad, hearing the beep of a MILES system in the distance turn towards its location.

"Alpha has movement, holding fire until we have a better shot."

they air drop into the southern end of the isle. where they set up individual base camps. securing the perimeter and fields of fire. sleeping 2 at a time. the claymores are placed one to each corner. and they plna out there ambush routes. each is 2 miles from the other team. and thats about it for this night

Instead of preceding along the trail, the Manarthians extract to the west, then double back to the south, and head west again. Making their way towards the "Western Hill".

5 of the SEALs from DET-Alpha deploy to a meadow on the other side of the island. They all climb different trees and wait for some one to enter the meadow

The snipers of Alpha squad, hearing the beep of a MILES system in the distance turn towards its location.

"Alpha has movement, holding fire until we have a better shot."

IC: The HSSOADS team hears a crack of a branch ahead, and stop dead in their tracks, waiting to see what the noise was coming from. one of them silently elbows up in his ghillie suit.

Admiral Liang's squad is fired upon by an unknown force,Admiral Liang,in a confused state ,orders his team to withdraw back towards the bluff overlooking the hill

Bravo squad, down to two members after being engaged by unknown forces retreated further from the clearing to find more cover. They sat behind a fallen log listening to the forest around them.

The scout for the mabush realizing that the body of men has moved off of the trail calls the OIC via two-way radio and reports "ambush Blown". The main body is, at once, directed to scatter into groups and RV ant the ORV.

The sniper det finds a hide and tries to re-establish some sort of sense as to what is going on in their AOR.

The recce element Fires several shots at the unknown body of men, hoping todraw them away from the main body of the SAS troop...

the four man team sent to aid the snipers arrives, to see their comrades sitting in the dirt. the TL orders the men to go back to HQ and await the end. Now they set up camp further down the bluff, on a corner instead. one of them wiggles up the tree and is given the silenced sniper-rifle to take a couple of bogeys down with.

The Sniper team spots some men and starts to take careful shots

The Manarthians appear to have outdistanced their opponents, and have made it about 1K across the island, away from what they assume is the enemy possitions. Newhaus marks the possitions red on his GPS.

They come upon a small hill, not 20m high, with brush covering it. Setting up a perimeter, and digging hasty firepits, the team huddles in for a temporary breather.

out of the corner of his eye, the new sniper spots a glint from something in a tree, next to a meadow and takes a shot right at it.

The SAS recce element suddenly has all of their 'MILES "Gear activated at the same time...It seems that while disengaging from one action they retreated straight into the path of another firefight and are cut down in the crossfire.

They slowly stand up and make their way towards "camp Freedom" radioing the IOC that they are all "dead"

The OIC orders another 4 man element to take the recce unit's place.

The snipers are still confused about the activity in the AOR and cannot direct the main body successfully...

One of the SEALs take a hit, and is out. 3 of the other SEALs spot the muzzle flash and they fire at it, one fires a grenade from his M203 over in that direction

the sniper quickly jumps out of the tree, seeing several more glints all over the place and quickly tells his team to get the hell out of there. One of the team is caught and gets killed by gunfire and the grenade.

Newhaus: Okay, this is a good enough spot for now, though we could use some more trenches. And more men on that side, the tree cover over there is good, for both us and them...

Meanwhile, I want Squad 2 to head towards the hill and secure it for us. Report back with on the radio, code Alpha Zulu Kitchen. This hill is Alpha, target hill is Omega.

Tanner: Yes sir.

The eight men remaining in squad 2 move out towards Omega hill, while the remaining 17 men remain behind at Alpha.

The SEALs hop from their trees and starts to pursue the running force, they fire several more grenades and a couple more rounds, before hitting the deck, making sure there wasnt an ambush

Nighthawk forces fire and Liang lost 2 men,and one of the men's pooly made laser equipment interferes with the whole squad's weapons...,he orders his remaining force to pull back even farther,Admiral Liang is panicking like this is a real military full scale battle,the morale of the Wulai Forces drop fiercely

Realizing that he needs to withdraw his troops in order to plan a proper action the SAS IOC orders the unit to again slit into 4 man teamsand make for the primary RV on the opposite side of the island. The four man recce element (the new one) moves out first, followed by the small groups of the main body.

The sniper det covers the withdrawel from the area.

Once clear of the local firefights the OIC sets up the satellite transmitter and sleaks to MJSOCA communication centre for detailed information on the area.

The SAS, now clear of the other bodies of men, melt away into the darkness with barely a sound...

as the other THSSOADS team hears the gunfire and the ensuing chatter on the comm, they quickly and silently advance towards a mass of flashes near the bluff, stopping once the flashes end, a mere 20 meters away. they hunker down to try and catch any over-achieving force by surprise.

((sorry forgot to mention, there is a USN Air Force J-Stars aircraft flying over the island to monitor the battle. It has no contact at all with the ground teams))

Squad 2 approaches the Omega hill. They check to see if any enemy troops already occupy it.

seeing much of the gunfire in the background dying down, the two THS teams decide to get the equipment dropped by the snipers and advance back to camp, getting ready for a short rest, ready to begin ops at 0615, just a few hours away. The perimeters are relieved by the 2 teams of THSSOPs.

The MJSOCA communication centre has requested and gotten permission for an overflight from a Merovin UAV Predator aircraft (unarmed) to try and identify likely areas in which there are hostile troop movements.

The flight takes place roughly 2.5 hours later. By that point the SAS unit has reached the ORV and is cammed in place for the remaineder of the night.

The sniper team has taken a position on a small set of cliffs that seem to dominate the immediate area.

The recce element has done a patrol roughly 2 KM outside the AOR to verify that there are no enemt troops moving in the area.

They are just about to move back into the ORV when they hear voices...

The Snipers see a team of men approaching a hill adjacent to theirs, they take careful aim, and fire a volley of rounds

IC: Teams 1 and 3 begin to shift out nap breaks, as they hold down alpha hill from attacks. Tanner promisses Team 2 that if they take the hill, they can do the same.

after the opeaning volley fire team leader removes claymores stacks rucks and prepares to exfil back to fire team bravos position.

The recce element has come under effective enemy fire. One of their team has his MILES gear go off. The others pop smoke and with draw directly away fronm the set of low hills to their front from which the fire is coming from. None of them saw the point of the enemy fire or the muzzleflash from their weapons.

The SAS main body is stood to and the sniper det frantically searches for a target...

The UAV flight is aborted after the hosting nation files a complaint with the Merovin Government. The Government quickly contacts the MJSOCA communication centre which, in turn, moves the predator out of the exorcise area. It is recovered by a Merovin aircraft carrier operating within a battlegroup several hundred miles away.

The volley peppers the Manarthians trying to claim Omega hill.

Tanner himself is hit, and the incessent buzzing in his earpeice tells him so. Pulling out his plug he turns to his XO, 1st Lt. Harrison.

Tanner: Sorry buddy. You're in command, I'm kinda dead.

Squad 2's Fireteam 6 open fire at the ajacent hill trying to knock out the entrenched Nighthawk snipers. Fire teams 5 and 4 rush towards the top, trying to keep cover between them and the snipers.

One of the snipers takes a hit and is considered dead. The other continues fireing, Everytime he pulls the trigger he moves to avoid being fired upon

Another member of 5th fireteam goes down to a nighthawk shot. Leaving only Lt. Harrison. He quickly joins with the 4th team. 6th team, along with it's sniper, is trying to pin the opposing sniper down, but isn't having too much look.

The LAW gunner of 6 spies some movement, in a bush near where the last shot was fired and directs a burst towards it, hiping he was hitting the sniper and not shooting at a rabbit or something.

"This is Rapier to Freedom" The sniper frantically radios to base"The other Rapier is broken, i need immediate support, Out"

Back at Camp Freedom, as soon the radio calls comes in a Quick Reaction Force(QRF) is thrown toghther and moves out. It consist of 5 Delta Force members. 4 with M-4s and 1 with a SAW

The remainder of the recce element is able to leave the area intact and soon meet up with the Main body.

There is a redeployment of forces by the OIC and an ambush is set near the area where the the recce element came under fire. The new 6 man recce element is several hunderd yards up the trail and will signal the main body when the an enemy is going to trigger the ambush.

The sniper team covers the back door and one flank...

bravo and alpha element hear firing to there northeast and decide to send there snipers up onto the mountin

The LAW hits the dirt near him showering him with dirt(or it would) it his weapon wont fire, he looks down at it and sees the MILEs equipment on it is flashing a small red light indicating the weapon was hit. He swore and drew his pistol and starts firing, he starts to look for the other sniper rifle.

"QRF is 3 mins from Rapier" The QRF leader radios

No movement is seen from the sniper, and the Manarthians are tense, and unwilling to alter their locations, fearful of another ambush.

Admiral Liang:"we WILL ADVANCE TOWARD THE NIGHTHAWK POSITION,offensively flank them and fire at them so hard,they will be out before they realize there being hit from all sides"
(The troops follow Liang's command and advance,and powered by the morale boost given to them by Liang's Change of plan,they attached the MkIIGL(Grenade Launchers) to their AK-80s and move out towards the nighthawk positon maintaining there stealthness(no one has noticed us apparently)

Suddenly a claymore one of the more thoughtful SEALs at Camp Freedom planted went off.

In the central of the island the QRF advances of the hill and starts returning fire

The Manarthians react to the sniper's pistol, though it is reletively ineffective from the medium distance between the hills. team 6 scrambles toward the top, while team 4 attempts to hit the sniper, who's zigging and zagging between shots makes the going tough.

Harrison: Lousy prophet forsaken thing just won't die.

The recce element hears a large body of troops aproaching the ambush oint and signals the OIC, taking the safety off of their MP10-SD's.

The main body prepares to initiate the ambush. Weapons are taken off safe, smoke and frags are set out. Everyone is tense yet ready. After the dismal start to the wargame the SAS are hoping that they will, at last, make a severe impact on one of the hostile forces on the island.

The first few men from the enemy force walk into the kill zone...

Withering fire pours from the Merovin SAS weapons and soon the screech of MILES gear can be heard above the stuttering cough of silenced weapons. How many men are down...?

The QRF leader holds up a hand indicating to cease fire.

Team six runs through the fire, as team 4 tries to cover for them. The night time isn't making it easy for anyone to hit them, but one lucky shot does take down the SAW soldier for 6.

Team 4 begins to pound the opposite hillside with their 20mm grenades.

The ambush was successfully executed and the high-pitched screech of MILES gear activated is audible through the area.

The SAS OIC is about to order a withdrawl when the signaler rushes up and says that a transimssion has been received ordering the unit to redeploy to the beach and meet up with the nuclear submarine Olympic. They are to be emmidiately redeployed to another "realtime" mission.

The Merovin Government communicates its sinserest apologies for their forces sudden departure to all the involved nations and says that there is a national crisis thatthe unit is required to deploy to right away.
