I ask that all nations support our goal, and contribute a wealth of genetic and psychological knowledge, equipment, and funding to our cause so that we might mutually benefit from the production of a new society.

Top ASW scientists in the fields of genetic engineering and psychology have begun construction on the plans for Project Brave New World, named after the novel written by Aldous Huxley. The purpose of Brave New World is to engineer society in the manners to suit the economic and administrative needs of the massively growing country, but instead of following the plots outlined by the novel, there have been changes revolving around certain areas of the process.

Birthing: On average, the female ovary contains 400,000 eggs. During roughly 50 years of her life, she experiences ovulation should she never become inpregnated. This results in the release of about 600 eggs, 1 for every month of those 50 years. That leaves 399,400 eggs unused within the ovary. If a woman were to get pregnant during every opportunity to her life, the 9 month periods inbetween ovulations would result in only the production of roughly 60 children. Clearly, this is a waste of biogenetic material.

For the production of mass humans, the process must be taken seriously. Each egg must be extracted from the ovary and kept in conditions where it can grow and survive. This permits each egg to grow in isolation from the rest. When the eggs reach fertility, they shall be sunk in tanks filled with spermatazoa. This process shall be repeated until all eggs are fertilized.

Once these eggs are fertilized, selective eggs will be taken under microscopes, and the genetic material extracted, resulting in the replacement of desired alleles. The combined aspects unique to each race that provide their excellent traits: fertility of the Asians, strength of the negroe, speed of the hispanic, endurance of the europeans and caucasians, hand-eye coordination of Amerindians; all genes beneficial to desired traits traded out for those not desirable.

After this phase, the egg will be isolated in containment jars, which will be kept at womb temperature. The eggs will be attatched to pumps which will keep the artificial amniotic fluid circulating at the rate of the womb. Blood surrogate will be fed into the containment cell to feed the fetus.

The fetus will continue on like this, conditions being altered to suit the needs of what the fetus will grow into. If hard laborers are required, then the fetus will be prevented from reaching heightened intelligence by alcohol being mixed with blood surrogate at different stages. For those headed to work in tropical areas, while the fetus is still in development and has gills, it will be innoculated against tropical viruses that will not affect it at that stage. All intelligentia will be permitted to have normal fetal developments to prevent any fetal damage.

After birth: Once the fetus is extracted from the containment canister and becomes infant, it is constructed into the idealistic human. During sleep, they will be taught morals through constant repetition of recordings. During the day, the infant will be taught to associate certain things with pain via electric shock and loud noises until it is firmly rooted within the infant's mind. In end result, the child will firmly believe whatever the psychiatrists may justify as what they should believe.

The psychological phase is still in testing. The techniques shall be studied and worked upon during fetal development.

We denounce this unnatural and wasteful process. Not only are you creating a race of mindless conformists, but you insist on mass producing them, and the world is already way overpopulated.

We are far from the type to halt progress, we regularly encourage creation of new technology and knowledge. But the focus of applied science is to raise the quality of life, not replace it.

If you include kill-switch timers as MMI has in his clones, we would be more lenient, but as it is now these flesh automatons stand as the exact opposite of moral science.

Be it as it may, we have no technology yet, capable, as you also mentioned later, to perform a kill-switch operation at specific ages, nor energy supplies readily available to power the kill switch into late age and keep it functioning.

OOC: You could do the Clockwork Orange thing and give them drugs that cause nasea and disgust, while exposing them to things you want them to associate as bad. I still don't condone this.....

IC: Technology should be used to improve the standard of living. Computers let people communicate, seek entertainment, and find and create information. Genetically modified foods let people eat healthier.

These are changes.

The process you describe here is reinventing a standard of living that has long ago been confirmed as immoral and inethical; slavery. Even if they are happy working as slaves, the point remains that they never had a choice on whether they would become one or not, and they can never rise above their station. Essentially this process is saying that human beings are tools to be manipulated and utilised like anything else, from hammers to cellphones. This doesn't sit well with the idea that all men are created equal(or the religious beliefs that man was created in the image of god...).

MMI uses biological kill switches, and electronic ones could easily be powered by body heat alone.

OOC: Where's the fun in that? It's much more effective to shock people and have them react how they should than have them get sick everytime they're confronted with a situation.

What can be said about this process is enforced communism. None would advance, yes, but should the communist ideology of thought be implemented, there wouldn't be any sense in trying to advance anyways. No matter what, the new people would always hit back to home base should they make fault, and never have to worry about anything that proves catastrophic to an individual: poverty, as a gauranteed factor. With the enforced morals which they couldn't refuse to disobey, society would have no option to go anywhere but up in efficiency.

While, gauranteed, the methods of attaining this goal are scandalous and appauling, the potential results of what would happen with a uniform species of humans are numerous and things that people can only dream of. To engineer a person with the strength and skill of three men, willing to perform labour for the good of the community, out of 'his own will', would prove most effective.

And all men are created equal... what we are doing is aiming to create men equal. And as men are machines, aren't we not? Fueled by oxygen and food. Driven by muscle. Insulated by circulating blood and fat. Protected by skin and antibody. We evolved like this in the step forwards for perfection. What we are seeking to do is revolutionize man to the epitome of what man is, and to speed the evolutionary process to the point where it will eventually reach the perfect machines, the perfect man and woman.

Man is not a machine. Certainly, we follow strict engineering standards and operate in predictable ways, but that doesn't make us machines. We are not machines, because machines have purposes. We are processes. I wont argue as to what created us, but if it was random chemicals, they didn't plan on this, and if it was some divine power, I'm sure it wouldn't have given us all these different emotions and goals (that wouldn't be efficient, assuming the being wanted a society such as the one you are planning). It is quite obvious that humans aren't meant to be efficient as you describe it, going against our natural systems is destroying that which makes us human. A society in which no one disobeys is not a society.

The whole point of men being created equal is that they don't end up that way, they have the choice to go above equal and probe new horizons. Technically, you are probing a horizon that seeks to make everyone happy at the expense of progressing onward from there, a perfectly fine idea until you consider the overall safety of the race. Evolution comes from diversity, and by cutting that out you stop dead. Thinking you have achieved perfection once you have achieved equality is silly, because sooner or later you'll find someone that is much more perfect(probably because they are still evolving). Then survival of the fittest does its job and suddenly the weaker race dies off.

If you proceed with this, we caution you to do so on another planet, because we and many other nations will not stand for it here.
