ANBARPLITZ, Tuesday: Members of the international nudist group NAW (Nudist Action Now) brought the city centre of Anbarplitz to a standstill at midday yesterday by publicly protesting against the Bohravian government's latest dictatorial supression of liberty: decreeing public nudity an arrestable criminal offence, voted for by the Legislative Assembly last Thursday.

At 12 o'clock sharp, in the middle of the city's Botanic Gardens, a group of 103 people stripped off in full view of passersby and began chanting "Nudity Is God's Costume!" and "Nature Is No Crime!" over a megaphone. The commotion was quick to draw a 300+ crowd, and within the hour half the city was clamouring to get a glimpse of the daredevil nudists and the latest instance of public defiance towards the regime.

The protesters, led by a 26-year old American university student known only as 'Ryan', vehemently stated theirs was a peaceful protest undesigned to provoke. "Look, we've really no reason to stir up 'trouble' here" Ryan said, when interviewed briefly by our news crew "but the things that are going in this country defy belief, man. How nudity - the natural state - can be declared criminal by some Big Brother government is a sad indictment of the times we live in."

He revealed the NAW members had entered the country on student visas with the pretext of studying politics at Anbar National University. He also said they had revealed their plan to a few members of the public beforehand, saying the feedback they had recieved was generally good. Moreover they had recruited around 34 locals to join them in the protest.

A detachment of the National Police's riot division was called to the scene at 12.45, but under strict instructions to not use force. The protest went ahead virtually uninterrupted, and only three NAW members were arrested for provoking the officers.

The Bohravian Government has so far declined to comment specifically on the matter, but stated it would not be dictated to by subversive influences, foreign or otherwise.

The only way to deal with them is to shoot the S.O.B.s! Let that be a warning against the subhumans! Bring on the flamethrowers!

We applaud Bohravia for behaving in a sensible manner, as opposed to "bringing on the flamethrowers", as some more radical states have suggested.

We applaud both the country and the protestors. This the great thing about democracy, the right to protest how you choose with out fear of harsh penalties. Of course the arrest of all the protesters would be understandable, because in fact they all did break the law in their protest.

Bohravia has done an exceptional job at "keeping their cool" in this situation, unlike the country of Sino which senslessly slaughtered a commune of more than 100 innocent people. I, yes, myself, read this to the Buechorian Parliment, showing that if we do the same we will become a more peaceful nation. Your non-violent response brought on the cheering of practically every member of the parliment!

Whilst we accept your accolades towards our conduct, the fact remains these foreigners goaded our people into protesting against the laws of our country. There are too many subversive elements undermining the livelihood of our government and its sovereignty. Time and time again we have vehemently stated to our people that our form of government and the laws it makes shall not be compromised. No sovereign and just government should have its legitimacy called into question by its own people. Bohravia is now and forever irrevocably bound to the principles of nationalist socialism. Anyone who fails to understand this is an enemy of the Bohravian state.

Due to the special circumstances in this case, we chose not to intervene. In future however, we would not expect this to be the case.

Hm... if your people don't mind a year in the military then I'm sure they would be welcome in Iuthia, citizens can be as naked as they want seeing as the warm climate of Iuthia almost encourages it... though our people don't really see it as being naked for the sake of being naked, more naked because it's comfortable. Though it's not for everyone.

Should they wish to move to Iuthia they should contact the Iuthian Immigration Corps.

As great as nudism seems, and although the idea behind is correct (i.e. obstructing the puritanical bases of our culture), it is entirely ridiculous and unfit for the real world.
People have to wear clothes for protection. You can't go mountain climbing, ride a bus, sit in a chair, play football when you are naked. It's very difficult; I've never tried.

I don't know. If I wanted to protest puritanical roots and Christian moralization in the world of dress code, I'd probably just cut little holes in my shirts/ [bras] for my nipples and bellybutton to show. [I'm a guy, a not so fat guy, so a bra is unecessary]

We shall consider this proposal. It is impossible for us to know at present how many of our citizens consider themselves nudists of sympathetic to it, but we may look into declaring a census, perhaps. Until then we really cannot accept nor deny your offer, but we thank you all the same.

If they are so desperate to go nude, they deserve to be killed. That is totaly wierd. If you can't shoot them, bomb them. Get rid of them!

While Iuthia allows nudism pretty much nation wide, many people don't exercise the right most the time, afterall who wants to do anything dangerous nude? It's stupid. So mostly you see naked people on warmer days in certain areas where it's practical not to wear clothes... it's all a matter of when it's works.

Nudism is okay in certain parts of Galdania, but it is too cold to stay out very long...unless you want certain...things...to fall off.
