Yaksylvanian elections: First ever!

Yaksylvania is holding it's first democratic elections ever!

Citizens of Yaksylvania will be allowed to vote for one of two candidates: Blue Party candidate Vladimir Frann or Red Party candidate Adolph Maebern.

We used to have a 100-man senate, but it will now make laws, while the President makes executive descisions.

Frann wants to build a new city in the northern part of the country, while Maeburn opposes the idea. Frann also wants to make a plumbing system that everyone could use, for only 300 dollars a year. Maeburn opposes this as well.

Maeburn wants to lower fares for buses by six cents. Frann agrees with Maeburn. Maeburn wants to chop down the Old Forest, an old rainforest in sotuhern Yakslyvania. Frann opposes this.

Who do you vote for?

Galdania proclaims this election as a farce. Frann and Maeburn are the same! No real change will occur in Yaksylvania until more parties are allowed, parties formed by the people, not by this sham of a government.

Padmasa demands proof of these very serious accusations.

Indeed, we concur with Galdania. The issues at stake here seem rather trivial compared to the problems at hand in Yaksylvania. Also, we are suspicious that the Yaksylvanian government would have such a sudden change of heart so shortly after they murdered pro-democracy demonstrators.

Today in Belgarde, Mikhail Gorberchiv was released, along with all others involved in the strike and subsequent torching of Factory 009-F.

This goodwill gesture is designed to ease tension between Yaksylvania and foreign nations.

When questioned by Freedom, a Yaksylvanian pro-democracy student newspaper, Gorberchiv stated that he is glad that there is change occuring in Yaksylvania. "It may take many years for full change to occur in our nation, but these elections are the first step. There's a mountain left to climb, but we're on our way."

Gorberchiv embraced his wife and infant daughter before casting his ballot for Blue Party candidate Vladimir Frann.

We could institute FREE elections instead of this sham.

We stand firm in our convictions.

These elections are not a sham. We have seen sham elections before, and we declare this one to be perfectly within the bounds of a normal election. Thus, any problems with the election can be partaken upon with us.

Blue Party candidate Vladimir Frann has won the election with 80% of the vote. The nation's only bus route, between Belgarde, the capital, and Yakcow, the second largest city in the nation, is having fair's cut from $17.98 to $17.92, as promised. There are no public transport systems inside the cities.

A new city will be built in the northern part of the country, and the $300 dollar a year plumbing system will be instituted in the city when it is completed.

The new City, Neo-Belgarde, will contain 500,000 people, once they are moved from Belgarde and Yakcow. Citizens will be randomly selected to move to Neo-Belgarde. If they do not want to, they can stay in the old cities, which are crumbling due to a lack of urban renewl money. All the money is being put into building Neo-Belgarde.

Mikhail Gorberchiv, long-time enemy of the Yaksylvanian government, has joined the newly-formed Citizen's Defense Force.

"Before, we fought for democracy, against the government. Now that we have democracy, we must join the government to defend it." said Gorberchiv when questioned by Frann Media, the President's personal broadcasting corporation.

Some members of the former Factory 009-F have accused Gorberchiv of ''selling out'' to the government. Freedom magazine claims to have uncovered bank transactions of over $200,000 to Gorberchiv's account yesterday, just after he made the speech.

Gorberchiv is now a Seargent in the CDF, which is comprised of Yaksylvanian volunteers who want to stop an invasion by Galdania and Halibris and Camewot.

The blockade has killed no one. Any deaths are a direct cause of the Yaksylvanian dictatorship.

The Galdanian Central Authority, the organization in charge of all 26 nations of the Socialist Union of Galdania, has condemned Mikhail Gorberchiv, calling him 'a sellout and a traitor to his people'.

SECRET IC: Galdania requests an audience with Senator Jorg Hansley. Come alone. The island of the royal family. Tell no one.

((Sorry, that's me, posted with the wrong nation.))

Halibris would like to ask Yaksylvania for permission to send a small group of observers to ensure a fair election is taking place.
