Four black submarines broke the surface of the sea, and slowly, ventral hatchs opened as their payload of SSM-1 Strikers leapt out, heading for the carriers. Each SSM flew at barely a hundred feet from the surface, and used RAM and stealthy shaping to prevent them from being easily spotted until it was too late.

As the missiles rained down upon cities, the EMPs caused massive power outages, leading to seventeen major subway pile-ups, numerous RTAs, and hundreds more deaths in hospitals. The "military bases" fired upon were little more than pre-fabricated mock-ups, using sophisticated lighting arrangements to portray runways and naval facilities. Main airfields and military bases are located inland, well away from the missile strikes.

Adelaidian armed forces are currently deploying into easily defendable positions across all the islands, ready to make the aggressors pay in blood for every inch of land they take. OOC: Slow down buddy, you can't jsut assume you land that easily. My nation is almost entirely jungle or paddy fields, except for clearings around roads and cities. The few possible places you have available to land are heavily defended. Unless of course you land in a city, which would be suicidal.

As the Fedral Union landing craft approach, hidden artillery units open fire on them, turning the turquoise sea white from spray. A huge mine field appears in front of the craft, completely unavoidable.

Even as teh survivors of the minefield and shelling close in, more anti-tank and anti-personel mines on the beach detonate, and heavy mortar fire rains down onto the sandy landing ground, quickly becoming a slaughter zone.

As the Fedral Troops pulled back, and heavy bombers could be heard flying overhead, the Adelaide Island troops pulled back to more defensive positions hidden deep in the jungle surrounding the only road away from the beach. Rocket artillery units fired hundreds of mine-equipped missiles onto the road and beach once the bombing had stopped, refilling the previosuly expended minefield.

As the RB-1s sweep inbound, they are spotted by local air defence volunteers, and engaged with hand-held heat-seeking missiles, a volley of thirty fired in all.


<Freetown, Capital of Adelaide Islands>

The five MOAB equipped ICBMs rained down on the capital, causing massive death and destruction in the over-crowded city. Two slammed straight into the largest schools in the country, another hit near a crowded sports stadium, another hit the CBD, and the final one slammed into Liberty Bridge, cutting off the airfield from the city.

The schools were entirely vapourised, and rescue workers are still pulling bodies from the rubble. Very few survivors have been found, and those that have been found are not expected to live long. The sports stadium also collapsed, trapping thousands in the rubble, and killing far more. The destruction of the CBD caused massive damage to business centres, and any foreign companies with offices in the capital would now have lost them. The remaining five ICBMs all hit either mock bases, or bases abandoned by troops setting up heavy defences on the approaches to any cities.

This Morning by the Order of General Franklin, 1,200 SAS troops will be Paradropped into the Nation of Adelaide Islands to help TFU force's in that Nation.

The SAS troops will be Supplied from TFU base's in the Area. General Franklin also ordered the 3rd Fleet to the Area incase it is needed.

A midgrade intelligence officer runs in with a briefcase handcuffed to his arm. He gives a low bow to the Emperor who sits on his throne watching the current events through closed-circut television screens. The officer begins to speak: "My Lord, tensions are escalating in the Adelaide Islands." The Emperor seems to not notice the man, and nodded to him. He continued to speak, "The General staff is waiting outside for you, my Lord." The Emperor nodded and waves his hand to let them in. With this motion two large ebony doors swing open, the House-Guardsmen lower their swords to a salute as the twenty high ranking men walk in. The Emperor rose from his throne and walked to the conferance table as the men stopped and bowed to their leige. Each man took their seat and the conferance began.

"My lord," said Field Marshall Wolfe "This is getting out of hand, more and more nations are intervening and there is no strong resistance on Adelaide"
The Emperor nodded to his top military advisor and asked "What do you propose Field Marshall?"
Wolfe then continued " Well sir, by all accounts Adelaide is at fault, but such destruction is unwarranted. The Staff and I propose we send the Grand Fleet to stay on watch off the coast, along with two field divisions, with General Tazimander in command."
The Emperor nodded, "Let it be done."
The Staff rose from their seats, bowed to their Emperor and left the room slowly watching the Emperor at all time.

Admiral Zeyad Besht walked boldly into the Presidential Complex, and demanded to see the President. He was granted immediate access to the President, and after a short greeting, laid the issue onto the table:

"The War for the Adelaide Islands is getting way out of hand," the Admiral remarked, "something needs to be done. Thousands of people are losing their lives, and no proper defense is being conducted by the Adelaide Islands military. Other nations are joining alongside The Federal Union to wipe out Adelaide Islands..."

The President gazed into the ceiling, then said quietly:

"What do you propose we do, Admiral?..."

The Admiral made eye contact with the President, and said:

"You want neutrality... I'm not arguing with that. But this nation will need serious help when this whole thing is over..."

After a brief pause, the President said: "And what sort of help are you considering?"

"Newtdom have mobilized their Grand Fleet... I say you let me mobilize our small, peacekeeping Tours Battlegroup... We'll keep a close eye on this issue and intervene when our peacekeeping forces are called upon.. or when this war becomes a massacre.."

With a sigh, the president said: "I'm afraid it already is... Go ahead Admiral.."

The Admiral straightened his back, nodded, and stormed out of the room.

The RCP-1s head toward the capital under the cover of the bombing. While the bombing is occuring, they go under the sewers and wait for further orders, the RCP-1s then retreat to the CRS Rose.

As the lumbering Fedral Union transport aircraft approache the clearing, ZSU-23 AA guns open fire on the craft as they approach to land, too vulnerable to dodge the deadly radar-guided cannon fire. As they come into range, hand-held anti-aircraft missiles flash from the tree tops. Avoiding the fire from this low and slow would be nigh-on impossible.

The Empire was still a force to be reconed with, he thought, even though no major war was fought in the past 10 years. The Chamberlain was a top of the line ship during that war, and still was considered one of the best warships in the world. This time, the Admiral had a new thought in the back of his head. He had never lost a ship while directing the Grand Fleet, but he felt something was going to happen this time. He walked from the helms room into the officer's dining room where the men rose and bowed to their skipper but more importantly their lord.

After eating a wonderfully crafted meal a helms officer knocked politely on the door. He strode in and saluted the admiral and informed him that the ships were now taking final precautions as they began to patrol the waters

As the Dundaine infantry cram onto the beach, heavy mortars and rocket artillery open up, as well as machine guns hidden along the entire treeline, trapping the infantry on the beach with no chance of escape. A remote mine field detonates, throwing the entire beach into flame and explosions.

Fire opened up all around the troops and guns were blazing everywhere.
Tanks firing shells at all of the mortor placements and infantry firing at the enemy infantry and gun implacements. No doubt the first battle in would sustain heavy casulties

As the snipers took cover and opened fire from the sky came a light bomb attack on the backside of the enemy, and paratroopers followed.

OOC: Actually Dundain, there are few landing points capable of holding 150,000 troops and 250 tanks, so defending them is easy. Post losses please.

IC: As the paratroops floated down, four soldiers opened up on them with shoulder held flak launchers, and continued to fire on them as they got caught up in the treetops, unable to escape.

The bombing and tank shells caused light csualties amongst the well dug-in troops, who fired AT-4 anti-tank missiles on the exposed vehicles. Mortar fire contiued to rain down on the men trapped on the beach, along with grenade, assault rifle and heavy machine gun fire.

BTW How are you "annialating" me when my forces are much more trained and more well armed. It is quite unlikely that your small country with most likely small arms as your main weaponry could face off with massive tanks and soldiers with M16, M4 and D-17 Assault Rifles?

number 2 is fine, Number 3 is only in times of all out war / when your nation is being invaded, so you are reasonably fine, but you wouldn't be able to give them very good supplies, number 4 is fine as well.

The RCP-1s paracute the men into the shore, while the tanks are landed by land. The RCP-1s are still prime targets for AA fire.

The message from Greensbry had just arrived and the Admiral was glad to hear about it. He ordered his signal corpsman to respond with the utmost gratitude and gave them the current posistion of the fleet. At the same moment he recieved another comunique, this time from home. It informed the admiral that there was the slight posibility that Dr_Twist would get involved as they denounced our actions. Thomas was a bit heldback by this, he did not wish to go to war, and thats why the fleet was posistioned in international waters. The only way they would begin their bombardment of either fleet or land was if they were attacked. He then ordered his fleet to begin moving in a zig-zag movement, ordered torpedo nets dropped, and a code 3 alert.

~Onboard any ship~

Alarms sounded three times to inform the men of their orders. The men on duty rushed to their battlestations and were ready for the worst. The ships began to move back and forth at a moderate speed over the crisp blue waters.

OOC: Dr_Twist we arent involved militarily yet we merely are stationed in international waters outside the Island, we do not condone the war nor the sinking of TFU's ship. We are here on a peaceful mission.

Admiral Zeyad Besht rubs his hand nervously as he watches several fires engulfing the islands a few miles away...

He can't do anything in the meantime, he had been given direct orders from the DoD to wait for the arrival of the Khadisiya Fleet before taking any action. Far on the horizon, he caught a glimpse of the Grand Fleet... Until the Admiral get backs to him, he will mind his own business and stay out of their path...

In the air, he watches as AA fire escapes from the enraged jungles, and he watches as a formation of aircraft approach... then change course and disappear. He knew it was a matter of time before Greenmanbry joined this war.

The question was: Who's side will the government support?

Then suddenly, a communication engineer rushes out and hands the Admiral a note. It was Newtdom, there will now be coordination with the Grand Fleet..

The Admiral smiled.. He gazed at the horizon.. at the Grand Fleet's distant battleships and carriers.. and nodded. He then forwarded the message to the Admiral of the Khadisiya Fleet..

Above the waters of the Islands:

Cheetah 1:"I havn't spotted any... wait I'm picking up something in my radar."

Upon hearing this the RB-1 started to communicate.

The radio communique came into the darkened room, the intelligence officer on duty grabbed it from the petty officer. He read it and then checked the incoming radar. Two fighters were inbound. He called the skipper, Captain Jon Roy, and informed him of the current situation. The young captain went immediately to the radio room where he went over the speaker, "This is the NRS Dimminished, a Juken Class Heavy Cruiser, we are here on a peace mission deemed by our government. Do not fire upon us, we come in peace."

Admiral Lynch recieved the current events from his briefing officer, inclosed in the "breaking news" category were the jets that were about to engage the Dimminished. The admiral seemed a bit taken back. He told the carriers to have their first airwing to be ready to engage, and ordered them to have their scouts in the air incase the fighters attack.

The Aegis cruiser was ordered into posistion close by to the Dimminished, the anti-airweapon ship slowed almost to a standstill as it came by next to its huge contemporary. All battlestations were manned was the few words that were heard by the skipper of this ship as he watched the skies waiting.

The first strike wing was moving fast, piloting their Phoenix-Ns, an extremely modified JSF. They flew in formation hard and fast without flinching at the on coming danger. Wing Commander Jack Void was given the order to engage the two MiGs. The first 24 jets flew in a V formation with Jack at the front. The order was given "Engage at will, Dragoon 1 fire 2." With that command the Jets locked onto their targets from behind. The two MiGs would not stand a chance against such advanced fighters. The command was heard throughout the airwaves, a distinguished call sign, Dragoon 1. The missiles left their locations under their wings and flew at increasing speeds towards their targets.

Upon hearing of Newtdom's ultimatum, the President immediately contacted Admiral Estral and tried to get the full scope of the situation:

~Royal Briefing Room~

The Emperor strode in, dressed in his fox hunting garb. He spoke first "This better be good General, otherwise its your throat" he said jokingly, knowing about the somber circumstances abroad. General Wolfe rose and bowed to his Emperor. "Well mylord, our ultimatium is being ignored. The doubt our power" he said then with a pause continued "perhaps they doubt our power." The Emperor's face grew from a happy grin to a bit of melancoly. He looked to the Minister of Information "Put me on air, now." He strode out of the room and ordered his speech writers to write him what he wanted. He headed into his office and changed into a more formal military wear. With that he strode back down, into the filming room and sat at his desk.

The cameras were being set up as he took his seat. He read over the speech quickly and made some quick changes. The Emperor, though handed the posistion through heritaty, was quite the capable statesmen. About that same time two of his sons came in, dressed in similar garb. Newt V to his left, a statesman and the heir apparant, and to his right stood William, the military man of the family. He looked up as the camera turned on, and the Minister motioned to him to begin.

Throughout the nation tvs turned on automatically, radios changed directly into this feed. The entire nation would know what was going to happen now. He began to speak:

"My fellow Newtopians. I come before you today on the brink of war. As you already know, our ultimatium to stop the fighting in the Adelaide Islands has been ignored. Neither of the two parties even acknowledged our message. I, my ministers, my military, and our people have had enough. We will not stand for such atrocities. Our military is in place, we are ready to show our prowess. We are a great naval power, and an island situation will bring forth our best. Some of our sons shall die, but their spirits will live on as peace keepers. We will over come these tyrants who wish nothing but war. Peace will be restored to these islands. We will stay as long as it takes, we will give whatever we can. We will stop such actions by power hungry nations. When this message is complete, we will begin bombarding posistions of both sides. Not because we can, not because we wish too, but because we have too. Full scale war will not answer anything...but if it could bring peace it shall occur. I have spoken to our allies, and they agree we must bring peace. We will submit our adversaries till they can not fight any longer. We will prevail. We will bring peace, and we will create stability. At the end of this message, our naval, air, and land forces will begin their much anticipated war. My son, William, will lead our forces. Let us begin our struggle for peace! For the Empire!"

The speech ended and reporters came on air giving their synopsis of events. In the filming room the Emperor rose and thanked his ministers. He went to the infamous red phone, picked it up, and said one word "go."

~NRS Chamberlain~
Admiral Lynch picked up at the other end of the line, and set the phone down, just as every commander in the region recieved the same command. He walked out of his statesroom and into the helmsroom. At that same moment, from behind the glass, he saw hundreds of cruise missiles launch from Arsenal ships stationed throughout the islands. From carriers he saw NAF Phoenixes take off and fly high into the sky. In the sky to the east he saw incoming aircraft, he knew what they were. 20 SAENG Premptive Strike troop carriers flew through the air and fired their compliment of 3 cruise missiles each. They then landed in the water and opened their large cargo bay allowing a small PT boat to slide out with its 25 SF troopers. The Admiral grinned, seeing now flaw in his extensive plan.

~Newtdom Royal Airbase~

Pilots and their crews rushed from their barracks and briefing rooms to their Twilight and Stealth Bombers. They took their places and the highflying stealth bombers took to the sky getting ready to drop their payloads.

~Skies over the islands~

The skies were filled with these modified JSFs, they flew at midaltitude targetting incoming jets, ships, planes, and ground locations. No quarter was to be given to military targets. Tek-2 Sea Hornet Helicopters were seen from the beaches, heading towards them. Hellfire missile systems opened up targeting enemy posistions and troops.

~Various Battleships and Battlecruisers~

21in guns on Battleships, and 18in Guns on Battlecruisers opened fire at the beaches, making it possible for ground troops to land. Missiles from their launchers came out of their holds, targeting various installations on the beach.
~Arsenal Ships~

The 10 Arsenal Ships in the region got their command to fire. The medium class stealth ships were posistioned already with in the waters surrounding the islands. Each ship had already programmed its compliment of 500 missiles to military installations and beaches. They fired their missiles and creeped back to the main flotilla.

~Virginia Class Subs and Sea Wolf Class~

They were stationed around the island for seek and destroy missions. They launched torpedos and harpoons at various Federal Union and Adeladian surface ships, and then sunk back into the deep abyss.

~Troop carriers~

Marines and Infantry were getting ready for the invasion. They were getting onto smaller craft carried on the large troop carriers. The first wave was getting ready to rush ashore and establish a beach head.

Admiral Lynch walked into the War Room, deep with in the massive Battleship. His officers rose as he entered and he motioned for them to sit. With that he begun the meeting, "How goes the fight?" the Air Commander responds "Quite well sir, minimum damage is reported on our side, and what we can tell substantial losses for our enemy. Considering the amount of Phoenixes we have up there." The Admiral grinned hearing this and spoke "So we are on time?" The Ground Forces commander responded "Aye, sir. Three hours have passed of intensive bombings of military installations and beach defenses. Our landforces are poised for the attack." The Admiral after being briefed seemed confident. And said "So it has begun...and let it continue." He stood up and walked out of the room.

~Lead Hovercraft~

"Commander, we have the command." Said a signal corp officer to Colonel Rey. The Colonel looked down at the man from his posistion watching the beaches and said "Mount em up then." At that moment the hovercraft inflated and grew a few feet off the ground. It began speeding towards the beach loaded with infantry. All around it other hovercraft did the same, filled with infantry, tanks, humvees and other necessities for beach front assualts. At the same time missiles and rockets could be seen and heard landing on the beach, pounding enemy posistions.

Several minutes later the landing crafts landed on the beach. Machine guns opened up from various posistions on the craft. The extensive fire would hopefully keep the enemy at bay. Ramps came sliding down and cargo bay doors opened. Tanks, humvees, APCs, bulldozers, infantry, and other units advanced onto the beach. At the same time helicopters from troop transports carried men and artillary onto the beach. Tek-2 Sea Hornets provided cover, as did the recently deployed Apaches and Cammanches. Several Blackhaws snuck behind enemy lines, and from them dropped marines and sea-commandos. they advanced towards the beachhead at once.

At this time, we are still not aware of any such attack. Our current naval force is incapable of carrying out said attacks. It seems that despite all their satellites and intelligence, the Fedral Union are not able to work out that we have no way to support submarines at this current time.

I ask you to withdraw troops immediately, and desist from the bombing of our military complexes.

We gave them an ultimatium to stop the fighting and allow a peace keeping force into their nation. They did not concur in due time. In fact, we were just ignored as war continued. They had their chance. Inform both parties that if they were to lie down their weapons, immediately, and a neutral peace keeping force was put incontrol of the investigation. Then bombardment and attack by us and our allies will end immediately. They have their chance...let them see if they take it."

General Farmel got off the line with Admiral Estral, and rallied the Greenmanbry Elite himself. Tanks were loaded into transport aircraft, fitted with parachute equipment. Soldiers accompanied the tanks, and the planes of the GMB Navy were already establishing dominance over a beach head:

The Apaches aboard the four carriers took off, all in all 80 helicopters, and headed out to the beach head that was already torn apart by Greenmanbry battle ships. Their aim was to establish aeriel dominance, secure the perimeter, and wait for the paradrops.

As they made their way a few meters into the land, they were greeted by small arms fire, that they ignored, and moved towards the established Newtdom beaches. There they eradicated an already-abandoned AA site, and waited for the paradrops.

Soon enough, dozens upon dozens of transport planes came into the island, carrying the troops the President agreed to send. They were guarded by Navy JSFs, as well as Navy FA-18s and F-14s.

All in all during that dropping mission, 16,000 of the 25,000 soldiers landed safely on the beach head, as well as the 420 T-05 Light Air Drop-Capable Tanks.

The remnants of the force was being delivered via transport ships to the island.

When on the ground, the tanks and a large portion of the infantry suppressed small arms fire, while the technicians and remaining infantry set up the command post, bunkers, and a few AA defense batteries.
