ARSB Defensive Readiness Level Raised
Soviet Bloc

Due to credible intelligence, the Soviet Bloc military is being put at a higher state of defensive readiness. We are raising our Defensive Readiness Level to level 4 out of the 7 levels in the ARSB system with level 7 having the most readiness.
At level 4, air patrols are increased, reserve aircraft squadrons are put on alert, local municipal guard units are put on alert, naval patrols are increased, and our Strategic Weapons Command is alerted (mainly the information gathering division). Also at Level 4, increased land patrol along our land border as well as increased security at all points of entry. A few key land based divisions have stepped up defensive readiness in the event of any form of attack, domestic or abroad. Numerous reserve radar installations around the country as well as the stealth detection network are being activated.
Also, due to direct order from Premier Boris Chlevenkov, two of the seven Expeditionary Fleets that are currently stationed overseas are being ordered to return to Soviet Bloc shores along with their 2600-man marine compliment.
Intelligence gathered by numerous intelligence agencies have led to this increase in the defensive rating. Other nations should not take this as an act of hostility as its currently only readying our defensive assets. The intelligence gathered by our intelligence agengices and bureaus have pointed to a possible threat which may or may not occur.

Trerry Harris looked out the window as he saw the jet slowly taxi and begin to take off.
"Mister Harris, we'll be landing about 3 hours." the pilot said over the intercom. Harris nodded to himself and put his standard issue sidearm, a Desert Eagle, into his briefcase incase a problem showed itself...

A special envoy, Sergei Mientkivishky greeted the men. He was escorted by six men, one being the undersecretary of foreign relations, the other being undersecretary of state and the other four were SpetsNaz special forces. The three state officials introduced themselves to the Buechoria envoy and offered to lead them to the Diplomatic Room, a secure facility on the grounds of the Rostov International Airport in the ARSB's capital of Rostov, where foreign diplomats often met with ARSB officials to discuss numerous things.

The men briskly headed towards the large concrete, steel, and glass structure, one of the most advanced and secure facilities in the republic. She covered an area of nearly 23 acres and was defended by SAM sites, ground-based defenses, and two brigades of security forces as well as an air defense brigade. But, the facility was different than most 'ugly' military structures, it had been designed by some of the best engineers in the ARSB to be both efficient, economical, and aesthetic. It was a modern-looking structure and no eyesore, like many military or diplomatic structures...
As the men approached, eight ARSB soldiers stood at attention as one pulled open a glass door into a spacious, bright hall with heavy mahagony doors lining the walls... There were two large stainless steel sections within this hall that acted as both metal detectors, X-ray machines, as well as blast doors. Twenty-four Soviet Bloc Embassy Guard sentinels stood at attention along the hall...
The ARSB envoys led the Buechoria personnel to a mahagony door labeled: Foreign Dignitaries Meeting Room #8. An Embassy Guard sentinel slid the door open for the men and they proceeded through to a large meeting room, complete with four more doors, two were bathrooms, one was a lounge area, and the final one was a common area. The meeting room was adorned with numerous works of art and was complete with a massive mahagony table with marble slats set in at regular intervals. Leather, high-back chairs surrounded the table and another smaller table sat along the side of the room with a coffee machine and a tray of other refreshments. At the end of the room, mounted on the wall, was a massive plasma television screen, alongside was three smaller screens.
The Soviet Bloc SpetsNaz waited until the men were seated before they left the room. Sergei took a seat at the head of the table, the other two men flanked him at their end of the table...
"Welcome to the Armed Republic of Soviet Bloc..." Sergei spoke up... "This is our most advanced diplomatic facility for foreign dignitaries... And in honor of your arrival, we've secured this meeting room, among our finest, for your use... Now, we understand you wish to increase relations with us, how so?"
As he spoke, the larger screen flashed to a map of Soviet Bloc, one of the smaller screens turned to the Soviet Bloc flag, another screen turned into an aerial view of the Rostov Diplomacy Facility, and the final one turned into the symbol of the ARSB Foreign Relations Department.

Terry Harris gazed at the massive room and slowly settled into a chair near Sergei. Terry coughed and looked up at Sergei
"We've noticed you're increasing your defense systems. Buechoria has mobilized several hundred troops and tanks and just won a war to maintain peace in Generia. We would like to console you, we have no thoughts of attacking the Soviet Bloc. Buechoria is a peaceful nation, but powerful when provoked and to prevent any attacks caused by this increase in military defense, we would like to open relations, trade and so on with you.. to maybe even become allies. You seem to be a formidable nation, though ours is as well..."
Terry grabbed a picture of 10,000 National Guard and 100 tanks lined up in a base and slid it across the table for Sergei to review. Terry waited patiently for a response...

Sergei nodded as he listened... He caught the picture with his right hand as it slid across the table tob, he pulled it towards him and gazed at it...
"Not too bad, not too bad at all..."
He looked at the computer monitor through the glass at his end of the table and selected an image, it beamed on the main screen, it was a picture of the ST-11 Next Generation Main Battle Tank opening fire with its electro-thermal gun on an unsuspecting Romakian army M1A2 Abrams, its side crumpling in from the impact of the shell.
One of the smaller screens flashed to a photo of an entire airborne armor company of T-05A MGS Light Tanks and airborne infantry parachuting into Romakian territory, two DP-02As are shown in the same photo releasing their missiles on Romakian infantry positions.
"Well, I'll tell you this... This increase in defensive readiness had nothing to do with your nation and was focused mainly as deterrence to a nation or a group of nations that were possibly planning something against the ARSB.
However, we do believe that an increase in relations between our two nations will prove to be beneficial to each of them.
We also wish to implore if your nation is interested in any of the ARSB military arms designed and produced by our largest corporation, the Dat' Pizdy Corporation. They create small arms, tanks, infantry vehicles, aircraft, naval vessels, and infantry equipment. Anything... So if you're military ever needs new equipment, just ask and we'll provide you with a database of what we offer (our storefront).
Our military is very advanced from the VEPR Infantry system to the ST-11 next generation main battle tank to the F-57A Molniya air superiority fighter. And, we are willing to share some of that tech with you.
Anyways, we will gladly begin trade with your nation but we must ask, what are your major export products? We export iron ore, bauxite, textiles, grain, and precious metals and are willing to trade these with you as well as oil."
Sergei settled back in his seat, as a seasoned politician and foreign relations expert, he had done many of these deals before he had risen to his current rank of Secretary of Foreign Diplomacy... As he settle back, he crossed his arms and a slight smile crossed his face. He waited for his response.

Terry chuckled and laid back into the chair
"We export two VERY expensive materials..."
Terry paused for effect before leaning forward to tell the recources
"... Platinum and Uranium. We've made very good profit off these two items and we have some minor metals, especially tin. There's a huge mine up in the Virka Mountains, near our capitol. I knew you would ask that question, so..."
Terry opened his briefcase and took out 3 photographs: One of a giant metal structure with several conveyor belts leading from a massive mountain with a shining silver substance on them.
"This is the platinum mine... Coincedentially and conviently nearby is the tin mine..."
A similar picture showed the same structure with less conveyore belts bringing small pieces of another shining metal. The platinum mine could be seen in the backround.
"Lastly, but most certainly not least is the platinum mine."
A small stone structure with a covered tube leading into the ground was on the face of the photo. Men could be seen wearing heavy led jumpsuits and NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) masks. A chainlink fence barricaded the area with several warnings such as 'Warning! Radioactive emissions' and more.
Terry waited...

Sergei nodded as he looked to the photographs...
"Yes, yes... We mine plenty of uranium and the sort, but not enough to export. We do have a small, very small platinum mine in our country, but it hardly produces much, so platinum would be a valuable trading commodity.
We'd be willing to set up some sort of trade for platinum as well as tin. We do mine some tin, but not enough for the industry."

Terry smiled at Sergei as he looked at the photos.
"We're very proud of them. We make plenty of money from the jewlery industries with the platinum and.."
Terry looked down at his watch and frowned.
"I'm sorry, but I must be going. Relay the Prime Minister at this address."
Terry gave Sergei a slip of paper with the letters G-C-CBH-1-V
"this is the Buechnorian system of telecommunications. Faster and more organize dthen regualr phone numbers. It says "Government" then "Classified" then "Charles Benton Helms" then the street number, or in this case, 1st street in the city of V for Virka, our capitol. Goodbye Sergei..."

Sergei glanced at the piece of paper with the 'phone number'-type address on it... He had no idea what it was, until Terry explained it to him...
"Ahh, alright, I get it now... I can have Viktor, one of our bodyguards, escort you to the door and then to your aircraft, it should be fueled, stocked, and ready to fly... Dasvedanya comrade..."
Sergei then ran through his schedule in his mind to determine when he should call their prime minister... He figured he'd wait awhile...
OOC- Sorry about the long delay, I haven't been able to be on the internet this much this week.
