A Mekantan reseach AI and a Biological collegue stand together at a podium, addressing a group of Biologicals and AIs.

"Temporal Expansion, also known as Time Dilation, is something Mekanta has dealt with ever since the shift to the Nexus. The subspace pocket we call the Nexus, operating on a seperate time flow than in Truespace, grants our core roughly an Earth year for every few moments that passes in Truespace."

The biological smiles.

"Granted, this is common knowlege among parts of the Empire. What is not common knowlege, however, is that we have been studying the nature of subspace. Ancient ruins in the Nexus have uncovered an artifact we believe will grant us an edge in Truespace, given our increasign intimacy with transpacial physics."

"A device to grant the properties of Time Dilation to a form-fitting area. In short, should our research prove fruitful, our AI armies will have a similar effect to that in the Nexus, wherever they fight in Truespace..."

The audiance stands, cheering, as the two step off stage...

-Report-

"The fact that we are working on such a device has been leaked."

"Fortunately, it is being tested in a secret location under heavy guard, ready to be recalled to the Nexus at any time."
