This is Ted Koppell reporting with GE international. if youll look directly behind me youll see the chaos that has befallen Generia the capital of the generic empire. The city is in flames after radical left winger and consul Pyutor Ctaikolvsikov began his horrifying ethnic cleansing campaign in the wee hours of sunday morning here. As you can see the bodies pile high as Ctaikolvsikov slaughters everyone not directly of southern pacific origin. The streets are literally flowing with blood here and its hard to walk without tripping over a severed limb. As i said Ctaikolvsikov was formerly a consul in the service of The Grand Emperor but his radical anti-immigrant and anti-european views have led him to take matters into his own hands after the Emperor publicly reprimanded him for his racially insulting statements. Among the victims are the parents of this 4 year old girl standing here with me now. The grand emperor has yet to issue a statement but soldiers apparently still loyal to his majesty have been seen assembling within his palace complex. It is a well known fact that the emperor is of southern european origin and so it is not surprising that he fears for his wellbeing. I cant stay on the air much longer because Ctaikolvsikovs men are closing in. You can hear the gun fire in the streets getting closer as we speak. This is Pyutur Ctaikolvsikov speaking to you now from the imperial chambers in Generia. As you can see the Grand emperor is no more. (camera pans to severed head on floor) I am now the new ruler of the free people's Generic Empire and as of now you will no longer live under the tyranny of the Royal Family. His family was captured while attempting to flee via helicopter and are now in my possession to do with as i will. It is the dawn of a new era for the empire, for our empire! Long Live the Peoples Republic of Generia!

Prime Minister Daniel Sweeny frowned. His nation was still too weak to truely be able to act. As a young political science student he had dreamed of changing the world, of being able to right wrongs and fix the world. As a KGB officer, he had seen how a large nation could change the world. Now, he wanted nothing more than to be able to land his Marine divisions on Generic Empire shores and watch from the war room as each and every murdering bastard who had shot a child was bayonetted and left to bleed in the streets. Instead, he had at the moment an expeditionary task force carrying a battalion of Marines, a few Joint Strike Fighters, and 31 Tactical Tomahawks.

"Orders to sail are confirmed. Operation Archangel is a go."

Five minutes after the orders were confirmed, two MC-130J Combat Talon III special forces support aircraft launched from Cowden Field outside of the capital. They were set up for mid-air refueling and command post duties, respectively, and had orders to rondevoux over the McQuaide Self Defense Force task force, and escort into Generic Empire airspace four MH-53J Pave Low III special forces transport helicopters.

The flight plan called for one mid-air refueling over international waters before the Pave Lows were to drop to low level flight. They would fly to the capital, pick up the Emperor's family and any other refugees, and return to the task force. Although the flight plan did non necessitate mid-air refueling on the flight home, the Combat Talons would remain in international airspace until the helos were on the decks.

Although this was meant to be a peaceful mission, each Pave Low carried a fire team of marine infantrymen, to coordinate operations at the palace and protect the helicopters on the ground.

EMERGENCY LINE--

Commonwealth of McQuaide is dispatching rescue operation immediately. Helocopters to arrive on palace grounds within five hours. Will approach from nearest shoreline. Will flash landing lights three times to authenticate. Request palace guards mark safe landing area with flares, make no agressive moves towards helicopters. Helicopters ordered to fire in self-defense. Plan to evacuate up to 136 personel from palace grounds. Good luck to you and your people.

EDIT: Only minutes after the helicopters had left the deck of the MSDFS Gabaldon, they were recalled. Intelligence had confirmed that the Emperor and his family had been killed, and thus there was no need for an operation.

People's Republic of Generia forces converging around the palace complex yesterday opened fire on an as of yet unidentified helicopter. No losses have been reported as of yet.

The fed union demands that you stop this practice at once or it will intervine and stop it for you

The General gulped as he watched his 25 Super SHerman tanks drive into Generia land.

"This is Eagle 1, report in"

The radio inside the helicopter the General was sitting in crowded with the responses of the 25 tanks.

"I hope this goes well, cause these are practically the only tanks we have" the General said to himself frightened

A sniper looked through his scope at the pig who had dared to enter his homeland. He could tell by the stars on the generals shoulder that he had found a real prize. He chuckled to himself as he dreamt of the roast pig that would be his gift from pyutur for such a fine job in the field. With no further thought he pulled the trigger.

The lead helicopter of the rescue operation swung wildly as the copilot called out the direction of fire for several tracer lines. they had just recieved their recall orders when the tracers came up. The 'TINK TINK TINK' of small arms fire impacting the airframe sent shudders down the spines of the pilots, aircrew, and Marine infantrymen aboard.

Upon landing on the MSDFS Gabaldon, the pilot found several holes mere inches from the primary hydrolic system. One Marine scout-sniper was carried off the bird with a serious wound to the abdomen, but the aircraft was otherwise unharmed. In the mess hall, the aircrew bitched about the intelligence bureau's failure to order recall sooner.

The General slumped over in his chair as the bullet grazed his forhead.

"What the hell!?" screamed the pilot as he zommed away from the sniper fire

In the palace bunker Pyutur Ctaikovsikov took a long pull from his cigarette before extinguishing it on the grand duke's head. He laughed a long slow laugh sending chills up the son's spine. Right at that moment an advisor rushed into the room. Pyutur bellowed but the flustered advisor explained that forces had crossed the border in the hopes of taking away his newfound power. Pyutur yelled out to mobilize his militiae and grab the emperors weapon's cache in the basement before he threw the advisor out and went back to his "work."

"This is Eagle 7, reporting enemy fire, southwest, requesting permission to fire.."

The turrets on the Super Shermans truned to the direction of the sniper

As the tanks rolled into view the men lying in the rubble fired their rocket propelled grenades. The RPG's hit their mark and the men scrambled to escape before reinforcements could arrive. All though Generia this was the scene: Open battle between Pyutur's militiamen and the peacekeepers. The gunfire was seemingly endless and the screams of the people lasted well into the dawn when they quieted somewhat.

"Negative Eagle 7, objective Alpha in sight, proceed towards Alpha, I repeat, proceed towards Alpha."

The tank commander put down his binculars and hoped back into the tank, hearign the hums of the tanks heading towards the palace. 3 minutes later, the tanks surrounded the Generia Palace.

"THIS IS COMMANDER HAMMOND OF THE EAGLE ARMORED CAVALRY. SURRENDER IMMEDIATLY PYUTUR, WE HAVE YOU SURROUNDED!"

Official Statement General Pyutur Ctaikovsilov-

The militia burst forth from their cover in the palace sewer and opened fire on the soldiers and tanks. Bodies fell as if the angel of death himself stood there with his scythe. Pyutur heard the noise and calmly asked his advisor for his rifle. He placed his cap on his head and marched upwards into the smoke darkened corridor of his palace ready to defend what was his. He roared that all could hear: Republic!

"COMMENCE FIRING EAGLES!"

The commander watched as some of the tanks exploded as RPGs grazed their armor. The turrets on the tanks turned towards the palace and began firing, demolishing the palace's top levels...

Listen I will send them into kick your ass if you don't stop this. The next reply better be okay well stop or not only will I send troops in I will unlesh hell upon your petiful nation.

Pyutur leveled the M60 and began to unleash a hail of shells down the smoky corridor. Muffled screams could be heard but there was nothing in sight. Pyutur continued down the hall.

"Eagles, report in!"

"Shit.. Only 3 tanks.. Damn RPGs.."

The commander watched as the tanks continued pounding the palace and enemies in the rubble.

President Wallace sat in his chair thinking.
"It is thier war, we shall not be involved." Interior Minister George Zavala said.
"Mr. President, I agree this is thier war, but innocent women and children are being slaughtered." Kemper said.
"Kemper shut your FAT mouth! This won't be like Cherry Blossom."
"I understand Zavala, Mr......" Wallace put his hand up and Kemper stoopped.
"I've made my decision."

GSS Neptune

"Coded message from the Agamemnon Admrial."
Admrial Douglas sat in his chair, pulling on his white beard and looked at the awating jets. "What is it?"
"From the president: GSS Neptune, GSS Agamemnon. Do whatever it takes to save as many lives as possible. End."
Douglas sat and looked at the Harriers.
"Launch Falcon Flight. Agamemnon can't launch her heilos till we are closer."

Four Harrier jets lifted off and headed for the capital.

"Finally! Reinforcements are arriving men!"

The commander watched as 13 Kiowa OH-58 Armed Recon helicopters came in and began firing a barrage of FFAR missles at the enemy soldiers

Yogi Kreschev screamed as a rocket from one of the helos exploded by his leg. He reached down but felt nothing where his legs used to be. He saw a faint figure standing over him. The man dragged him to safety, to a waiting peacekeeper's ambulence. The man ran off to rejoin the battle.

OOC: Hate to say it, but you might want to reconsider you force size if you don't want to be considered a godmoding numberwanker. 70,000 navy sails (SEALs?) when the US Naval Special Warfare population is in the hundreds? 60,000 F-22 Raptors when the US can barely afford a few air wings? 60,000 Y-23s that cost as much or even more than the Raptor? 90,000 Leopard MBTs that would require 360,000 people just to *operate*, let alone the millions of people needed to maintenance, support, and feed that army of tank drivers?

Please, before you go embarassing yourself, reconsider your military structure. Try actually roleplaying rather than simply plopping numbers on the board.

The commander watched as the final girders of the palace collapsed and the structure fall in a cloud of dust and screams of the guerilla fighters.

From the dusty ruin a dazed Pyutur stumbled out into the smoky mid afternoon with the imperial flag draped round him and a crown hanging lopsidedly on his head he leveled his M60 and let out a screa: Death to the impure! LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC. With that the commander of the peacekeepers aimed his pistol at Pyutur's head and pulled the trigger. A crack ensued and the megalomaniac forever fell silent.

"Thank you, John. In international news, Buechorian officials todya released it's victory in releasing the country of Generia. The militia is pulling out and Buechorian Peacekeeping Aides are now arriving to fund the reconstruction of the country..."

As the tank commander walked toward his vehicle a woman and a small girl came out of a shattered house and looked at him. The woman began to weep and asked through tears "What is to happen to our country? to our homes? the commander wiped the womans eyes and continued toward his tank.

The tank commande rlooked up in the sky seeing several transport helicopters touch down with supplies as his 3 remainign tanks drove out of Generia..
