Several Halberdanger Engineers of the Biological Sciences Division announced their breakthrough, after having been working with the applied military sciences division, as to the fruits of their labor.
Halberdanger Scientist: "Our dream has finally been realized. We have taken one of the Federation's most abundant natural resources, and harnessed it as a weapon. The Fetii that roam these lands have been studied for years, and now, we have been able to clone, and alter them in massive number. They are now very dangerous though, they can and will eat anything and everything in their path. With our current technology, we should be able to produce them in the millions, if not billions. And due to their relatively small sizes, we can gestate them very quickly. The most remarkable thing about the Fetii, is that naturally, they produce a fairly weak acid in their mouths when they feed, making them excellent omnivores. We have also harnessed this to it's fullest, they can now use this acid to consume and process almost any material. We hope to use this to protect our great nation, and those who side with us."
