Breaking news:

Speaking at the annual celebrations of the formation of the Guild of Mothers, our Venerable Chairman took the opportunity to announce our Great Nations withdrawal from the United Nations. Thus he spoke:

'... and komrades, I must inform you now of my decision, backed fully by the politburo, to cancel our nations membership of the United Nations. This organisation wished to restrict the hours that our people can work. Something that flies in the face of the doctrine of Revolutionary Socialism, which calls on each and every citizen to contribute all they can, with every breath, to the strengthening of our state and the bolstering of the system of Revolutionary Socialism. Hence, we are to withdraw from this organisation and its restrictive practices. From now on we are accountable to no-one but ourselves, the founders of the Revolutionary Socialist movement.'

The floor rose to its feet in a demonstration of spontaneous joy and marched onto the streets to march on the Hall of Martyrs to celebrate the brave decision made by our venerable chairman.

International

Preparations are underway for our great nations first diplomatic mission to The Suunist People's Republic of Marimaia. Foreign Minister Molotov has also spent time learning the nations language at the K R Ultoyev University in Korova, as well as examining the history and culture of the land.

Crime:

The Internal Security Agency has announced a five percent reduction in detentions for March as well as a three percent drop in prison places, compared with the same period last year. ISA officials have attributed the improved figures to the introduction of more efficient judicial systems within ISA establishments.
