Rotovian National News

"...Just moments ago the President reversed his previous order to hault airraids on the nation of Prosse. After a four month stalemate in negotiations the Government has decided to, as the President worded in his speech to the Senate "..end this whole mess once and for all".

Airaids began at 0500 hours and have continued through the day, preliminary reports indicate that military facilities have been targeted, combined with a seige method, taking out powerstations and major infastructure. However, this lone photograph was captured of a building intside the Prossian Capital.

No figures have been released yet, as to the death count, which is sure to rise as the naval blockade and airraids continue late into the night."

In international news the Rotovians have begun a full-scale attack on Prosse, following the failure of negotiations on the issue.

This failure is widely believed to have contributed to the downfall of ex-First Minister Dettaine.

First Minister Elgiva Vattyen has issued a statement;


"The Empire intervened in this matter some time ago, in a bid to save the lives of the Prossian people.

We sucessfully brought Prosse, Rotovia, and several other nations to the peace table. But since that time, the negotiations have stalled owning to Prossian absence.

Prosse, by its refusal to continue negotiations, spurned our offers, and has only itself to blame.

The Empire will not attempt to save those who cannot be bothered to save themselves."

Office of Immigration officials have refused to comment on rumours that the Prossian Leader, Mr. Elston, has been deported back to Prosse."

The Kingdom of Austica has today authorised the deployment of an Amphibious Ready Group made up of:
2x Aircraft Carriers
2x Ocean Class Helicopter Carriers with:
-1,200 Royal Austican Marines and there equipment
4x Guided Missile Cruisers
6x Guided Missile Destroyers
13x Guided Missile Frigates
4x Nuclear Powered Submarines

This force is being sent to monitor the situation between Rotovia and Prosse. The Kingdom of Austica remains, at this stage, neutral in the hostilities.

In the event of the outbreak of war, the Kingdom of Austica will incur a large scale deployment of troops (between 100,000 - 250,000 troops) in a period of 6 days.

The People's Republic of Neo-anleterra has just offered unilateral aid to either sides of the conflict as they believe there is humanitarian crisis developing which will soon spiral out of control. The government are currently in talks which neighbouring countries in order to airlift the supplies directly into Prosse!!!

We have been unware of the deterorating political situation and we would like to request that we be informed on the issue, and what are your goals and plans in this war. Also, if we see it fit, we will support your nation through lend-lease programs or direct military assistance.

Minutes ago the government relised this statement:

"Due to the incooperation of the Rotovian government to ammend the humaritarian crisis, we have no choice but to suspend aid until the conflict has ended and we appeal to the government of Prosse to surrender"

The Secretary of State for Immigration has confirmed that Leader Elston, ruler of the Dominion of Prosse, remains in the Empire, but has refused to comment further, except to confirm that Mr. Elston is being held under house arrest in Embassy House.

Sources within the Secretariat for International Judicial Affairs have told MNB that if Prosse is sucessfully invaded by Rotovia, Mr. Elston will be stripped of his diplomatic status and placed under arrest, pending charges of Endangering the Safety of the Empire, and reckless endangerment of human life.

The External Affiars Minsitry has been unavailable for comment since the removal of Bishop Serpens Aldir as Minister three days ago.
